Literally, Maya has lived/is living the whole life that I would dream of. Moving to a big city and finding myself, moving out west and grow my own business, traveling and creating memories outside of the US, and then settling down with my loved one countryside with lots of lands and growing a family. I love the way that you are sharing your gardening experiences! 1st thing I learned years ago was about mint LOL it spreads underground so I will only plant it in pots. Sooo invasive albiet fragrant ☺ Took over 2 years of constant digging to get control of the mint in the backyard LOL.
This video is everything. In the 4th grade we took a field trip to the Haw River (in NC) and they used the sawdust method and I was just not prepared for that..I can't remember why the field trip was needed but I remember that sawdust...lol

Oooh Maya you’re stepping into the final lap of pregnancy my dear. May you and your family continue to be blessed exponentially. 💗 Not sure I would make my own compost, as yet. But we did expand our gardening to two large beds. Grew lots of zucchini, cucumbers, tomatoes, thyme, mints, basils (4 varieties), lemon balm, garlic etc. Girl I’m even growing callaloo, so proud of myself 🤓! It has been fun learning from our mistakes and eating our rewards. Oh and it’s really great to send visitors off with loads of veggies and herbs.😊 I hope next year God willing we can build our own greenhouse. 🤞🏿

I love all of your guys' content and really appreciate everything you share. The dedication to sustainability really shines through and exemplifies your guys' shared passion 💚. One thing that could really help your overall eco system is a small pond or fish tank. This will help provide water to local wildlife but also help provide biodiversity to the ecosystems you are trying to encourage growth with. We always use the excess waste water in our garden to help give our veggies a boost since it is filled with tons of beneficial micro organisms, nutrients and of course, fish poop- the bonus is you don't have to compost the poop the way you would with other animals since it doesn't carry the same concerns for e. coli. So basically we just water our indoor/outdoor gardens with fish tank water. Hope this helps in some way 🌞🪴✨
Man I love everything about this video. I live in a city area, but my husband and I are planning on buying land and I want to be totally off grid, growing my own food. So this inspires me to keep going with that goal. And I’m so down for composting.

This year I had decided to not plant anything (we still have our peach trees) because I was pregnant (just had my baby a week ago) and did not want to stress over it being new to gardening.
