The more strings you use the thicker it gets so to make it thicker you could do five colours, six colours or seven colours :)

this is a great tutorial, but as someone who as only really made chevrons and candy stripe bracelets the pattern was painful. maybe try make a simple diamond before you try this if you are a beginner like me 🥲
