oh my gosh He is so adorable. I am going to go through my fabrics and get them ready for doing tomorrow. Sun Bonnet Sue and Farmer Sam have always been my favorite. This is going to be a real treat for me. I really appreciate this so very much.
I live these!! I always have
I’m pinning quilt border as I’m watching you.
How do I get the free patern
Let's go back to July and start Christmas projects. The older we get the faster the time seems to go.
While Harlan is away and you’re on chicken duty, I kind of thought we might get a quick little video of the chickens. Send bonnet Sam turned out really precious. Because they’re a pair, have you considered putting some highlights on the leaves of sunbonnet sue so that both of them have shading or detail? Could be nice. Thanks for another great video. It’s terrific
It is nice out 😊
THX 4 FREE PATTERNS!!!! LOVE YOUR EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS!!!!! ❤😊
I love the denim I think I will do the same. I I might even have some check fabric to. I wonder if I can use this same pattern, reverse one and put a heart between them both. I can adjust the arms to them both holding the heart. It would be cute for Valentines day. I love Sun Bonnet Sue and Farmer Sam. I have been trying to catch up on unfinished projects and now I have a beautiful embroidery pattern to do as well that I will put into a mug rug.
Sunbonnets are my favorite. It has been a bit chilly in the mornings, but nice this afternoon, here in No. California.. Have cataract surgery in the morning so I might be able to work on this while I recoup.
Are we live? I don’t see the chat!
I thought he was called Overall Bill?
my understanding is that he goes by several different names :)
Can you please do a tutorial on scan and cut and what you use to iron each piece of fabric. Thank you!
I can’t find the turkey…
the turkey is next week, I haven't uploaded that yet :)
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead oh… lol. Thank you for your response.. sometimes I get carried away with my enthusiasm..
It is so amazing watching you zigzag. Is there any tips that would help me improve my zigzaging?
Do you backstitch at the beginning and end?
I’m new to this. Is EZ steam I good to use for appliques?? I purchased this today from your Etsy Shop. So cute!!!
I haven't used EZ Steam yet, but I believe it would work well :) Yes, usually I do a backstitch at the start and stop, although I have a thread cutter on my machine that ties a knot, so if I'm using that I don't backstitch :)
Hey Y'all!
I missed the little girl, my quilting friend was in the hospital 😢
Hope they're better😢

WAY TO CUTE!!! Change out fabrics and they could be for any season or event. Endless possibilities. Thank you. Don't feel bad ....I do my best creativity at night.
One time would you show us how you set up for the cutting machine? I'm thinking about getting one, but I would like to see what that takes to do it. I don't know if I can handle it. Just do it from beginning to end, please. Thanks so much, Lisa. You do beautiful work. That shading put it over the top. 💛👏
In this same series.....check out the baby duck applique :) I start from the cery beginning and cut everything during the video
Thank you so much.

Is this scheduled for Friday or Saturday? Don't know what's going on with my tablet!😢 I know why my leg hurts, Dr B performed knee replacement surgery yesterday🎭 By any chance, do you have a bucket or harvest basket Sam could carry?
This is set for Friday :) at this time I only drew out a pumpkin for him to carry.
One of the reasons I like him pulling a pumpkin along is bc it reminds me of a story my hubby told me he experienced growing up, but with a watermelon. He was born up North, but came to the South in adulthood, unlike ALL his family members. Thinks he was meant to be a Southerner, lol, cause he's always luv'd grits, hahaha I laugh & cook him grits regularly. My folks were from mol " neutral zone" so we ate more corn mush than grits, growing up. Getting my share now, tho' I prefer oats & quinoa. Off the subject...
Hope your healing comes speedily. 🙏
Lisa, I made my own patterns months ago for the boy and girl, & got this idea of putting them on a heavy muslin block set on point, mol I did the same thing (without a cutting machine) of not facing them toward one another. But I did worse: he looks like a giant compared to her. Shes a tiny little thing, although I like the way he came out, not her so much (I'm speaking of my drawings). I didn't want them "fluffy", so I ended up thinking of them as "the kids" (Sam & Sue). I wanted to finish 4 of them (2 of each) & make a table runner. So I've never made the other 2.
Question: if I use the Creative Crew link, am I expected to join? I just wanted to share pics, as you suggest. I remember you said to do the security thing. LMK, pls. Thx so much, and Thx for the great freebies. I think your Sam & Sue came out wonderfully!
I'll tell you about my experience with SunbonnetSue in another comment. This is long.
You mentioned wanting to make rabbits for the kids (are they young grandkids?). I was given some fabric panels & will send you one for a Victorian rabbit, if you think you can make time to do it. Sometimes those panels are troublesome (I'm finding out...just finished a dinosaur for my grandson, from a panel. He luvs it, tho'). The rabbit is mint green, I think. If you have a boy & a girl, I will send the dinosaur, too, cuz I will never make it again, lol My kids are into their late forties, so there won't be more grands.
i didn’t know about the fabric markers!! they really make a nice difference!!
Thankyou Lisa he is adorable you really inspire me ❤️
