    Very helpful as I teach middle school kids. Beginners start hitting all high mid-court shots. It takes practice to make a deep clear, flat game or an effective drop. Just having the options available for kids/beginners to think about. A caution, I have heard of, and had close calls, with eye injuries on the net kill. The drill has to be done from the side and eye protection is not a bad idea. Injuries happen most often when kids are goofing around and don't know any better. Super video again. Thanks for posting.

      Thanks a lot for the feedback and for sharing your experiences. And yes you are right, you have to be careful with the feeding when it comes to net kills, especially with beginners

    Hi Tobi, can you produce a video showing us about 5 good exercises for the gym? Exercises that you do as well regularly (or that you did regularly before) and that are good for a better badminton performance. To work against disbalances due to badminton training and to prevent possible injuries, as well as improving the speed or the power on the court. Thank you so much and best wishes from Switzerland :)

    you forgot one most crucial shot every badminton player do, Frame shot, you hit the shuttle on the frame.
    It generates points for the opponent

    Hi Tobias, what exercises or training do you recommend for improving balance? I notice that from a lunge position or after hitting a smash, I am always slow to recover and usually because I am off balance. This might just be that I need more footwork practice but would love to hear your thoughts on this! Thanks!

    • @pia31415
      @pia31415 ปีที่แล้ว

      not Tobi, but here's my 2c.. practice slow lunges with weights aim to activate muscles to stabilize your knee. Also try the progress to pistol squats. If you can do pistol squats then your single leg balance is pretty much guaranteed.

    why is it that most pros badminton rackets make that metallic "Ting" sound but mine does not ? Will really appreciate if someone can answer this question. has been frustrating me for a long time as I also want that sweet metallic "Ting" sound but no matter which string or racket I use, its almost a flat sound always. Thank you.

    • @tobiaswadenka8435
      @tobiaswadenka8435  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      How much tension you have on your string? That makes the biggest difference on the sound and the more tension, the higher the sound during impact

    Hey just asking what is short defence and long defence there doesn't seem to be any other sources that use the same terminology

    • @tobiaswadenka8435
      @tobiaswadenka8435  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Short defence = you just block the smash of your opponent to the net, long defence = you return it high to the rear court again

    to give an another "attack" to surprise your opponent, you also can do "hard and fast drive" from back to back
    it is use you power just like the smash or back clear and the shuttle trajectory is flat
    hope this help and..... love badminton 🏸
