the expanded edition came out in 2007 actually. i remember when that came out. it also restored previously edited out stuff in the other songs (and the intro, which was shortened to "This band's been called the loudest band in the world in the Guinness book of records (..) Get your hands together if you please, burn with Deep Purple!" or something).
I can look past the awkward vocals of Space Truckin and Smoke, as this is hot stuff otherwise. You have the entire band firing on all cylinders, Glenn isn't as obnoxious as he would be the following tour, David keeps his soulman routine in check a bit and there's so much energy throughout. Ritchie of course tears it up throughout. He plays like a man possessed. But then, he was at his peak. Yet to hear a bad Blackmore performance from this time. Then he kinda lost it for a while in the 80s but in the 90s hit another peak imo (1993-1997 he was back on track, maybe 1991 too, haven't heard enough from that tour)
