Eddie Rabbitt performing a three song medley ''Drivin' My Life Away'', ''I Love A Rainy Night'' & ''On Second Thought'' live on Music City Tonight with Crook & Chase.
We lost him 25 years ago last week. I bought "I Love A Rainy Night" on a 45 at Caldor when I was 13. Part of the many songs that inspired me to become a musician.(amazing this video caught a lyric flub at 2:47.) RIP Eddie.

He was so great and so kind to everyone. I miss him so much and yet so glad I saw him so many times and got to meet him and he was so nice and his fan club run by Sandy was special also. Eddie and I were born same year and it is so sad he is not still here with us. He deserves awards which country music never gave him. He wrote so many great songs. I have never met a performer like him that would take time and talk to you and that was even without paying to meet. He was one of kind that will never be again. Thank you Eddie for all the great memories.
Hi Linda, My name’s Lee Garner. I’m a guitar player and I worked in Eddie’s touring band, Hare Trigger, for 16 years, (1981-1997). I’ve written a book titled “YA HADDA BE THERE! Tales of Music and Mileage” about my experiences in the music business and my years working with Eddie. You mentioned Awards. He is not in the Country Music Hall of Fame but there’s a big push to get him there. However, he has been recognized by the industry, more than I ever knew. Until I began researching the book I had no idea he had been the recipient of so much industry recognition. He NEVER mentioned it. You might be interested in this list. So sad we loose all these great stars so young!!! He was a great!its crazy to think not even his agent knew he was terminal, and it was a complete secret and not announced until after internment. His agent said he was happy and upbeat all the time and he had no idea. Had to be hard for him to keep that all inside.
He didnt age at all. Not one bit. How?Looks exactly the same as he did 14 years prior. If he did botox that is the best botox ever!Hope I look that good at 54. Geeze perfect hair too. No fair unless its a good wig.
Miss him…the best!

Loved his style of play and singing. A fan from India. Rip Mr Eddie Rabbit.
It's criminal that Eddie Rabbitt is not in the Country Music Hall of Fame with over 20 #1 hits, over 35 top 10 country hits. Come on now.
I agree he should be in the country hall of fame
Such an underrated singer and songwriter. And had such a unique voice.
So good! And he was gorgeous!
Eddie was the reason I liked country music........ The songs were just so well written.

They should do a movie about Eddie's life.. Jeremy Sisto or Ethan Hawke could play Eddie.
No way. They're nowhere as good-looking as Eddie!!
