My first intro to them definitely wasn’t through one of the fancier videos explaining each member thoroughly (it was actually a crack video and I had no idea what was going onXD). So definitely just take your time.
I'm a baby ARMY myself, just a few months into this fandom, but I feel secure in saying that anyone who is rude or insulting to you is not a genuine fan. True ARMYs encourage newcomers, welcome them and share information without criticizing or being rude. IE, they follow the example BTS sets of being courteous and kind. And a bit crack-headed. :)

I agree with what y’all said about needing to watch the old videos to watch the new ones. It is important to learn about their old videos because young BTS grew so much from their old style and new style. Only watching the new things will completely beat the purpose of truly getting to know them. BTS came from nothing, and they didn’t become famous one day to another. The struggle was real but worth it! Because of their old style, they are the BTS that we know today 💜

It blows my mind that alot of new fans actually refuse to listen to there old stuff and learn about there beginnings. I also think people should learn about kpop and not JUST BTS because to fill appreciate and understand why they grew big was to understand a kpop as a whole and the whole scene. Ive been a multi stan of kpop since 2008 and so to me who was a fan of a fuck ton of groups it was clear to me why BTS was different and why they grew past everyone else

And 'The Rise of Bangtan'. That's been invaluable for me to understand not only what the boys have been through and why ARMY is so devoted to them, but also what K-pop is really about and how BTS are genuinely paving a new way for the whole industry.

Hey guys, like other people are saying it sucks when you get the crazy fans that think you have to know everything about the groups in 2 seconds. Best thing to do is try to ignore it the best as possible. But other than that this is one of my favorite into videos. I am glad you will also be getting into the solo work as well. They are just as good as solo artists as they are together. It is nice to hear their own styles of rap and singing, because each member bring something different to the group.
1 docu-series that I would highly suggest as you get a more into BTS is "The Rise of Bangtan". It is so well done and well researched. The series starts just before BTS Debuted and goes from there. It is an on going series and has 9 episodes so far. Also, if you want you could also start from the beginning with their MVs. But you guys are doing great. I am liking your reactions. 💜

Thanks for reacting to this. I'm new/baby ARMY myself and it is crazy trying to find good content. This was wonderful and I will be sharing it with my Mom when we have our next "Got anymore stuff on the boys?" pajama party. I've seen others recommend The Rise of Bangtan Official chapters to you. It may seem overwhelming to tackle what is now 11 chapters (12 comes out Friday, then they take a break before "season 3"), but once my Mom and I started watching those we went straight through in one night (I think it was 8 chapters then). The main difference in this series is that Aneesa wants you to experience what it was like to be ARMY from the first moment so she (and her team) use as much archival footage as possible of the boys telling the story themselves.
I think you guys feel as I (and my mom) do, that's it's worth it to get as varied a perspective as possible (edit: to watch as many things as possible from different sources). I'll be adding your other reactions to my list and enjoy learning along with you. ( :

I know BTS' story like the back of my hand, but every single time I hear it, it just always blows my mind. These boys truly truly are 1 in 7 billion ✋😪
Nobody started more from the bottom than BTS and nobody got higher than them. They are legends
I can't believe it's already been almost 10 years since BTS first debuted but I'm truly so proud of having seen them grow as people and as artists through the years. They first debuted when I was going through terrible mental issues and immediately their music gave me strength and continued to do that with each album. I have a special place in my heart for them and it truly makes me so happy that BTS has been able to not only entertain so many people, but help many many more to get through their struggles. It makes me so happy when people react to videos like this because you can really see how it all started from day 1. Some people try to be edgy and hate on BTS simply for not speaking English or not coming from the U.S but it's their loss at the end of the day. As far as the comments from rude armys in this section, don't do that. We all love the boys of BTS and there's no reason to start diversity when the boys themselves have made whole songs and movements dedicated to being kind to not only each other, but yourselves. Please don't spend time giving hate to new armys or people that are learning more about the group. We're all a giant family here thanks to BTS and I love each and every one of my fellow armys.

Can you react to “BTS vs Kpop” by bby gang. His videos are utterly phenomenal, and I’d love it if you could check out his other videos out as well about Kpop & BTS. They are so well-researched and non biased. He does the work that so many western reporters don’t when researching and explaining BTS and Kpop. He encapsulates so well how truly phenomenal BTS is in the Kpop industry, the pop industry, and the music industry as a whole. It helps that with how well he does his research, he shows so much respect for eastern concepts and their impact on the western world. It’s beautiful. One of the best Kpop/BTS videos I have ever seen.
Jin, who didn't know anything & wanted to act is the oldest. U should watch the live performance of their song Crystal Snow. That song has Jin's infamous triple high note. Amazing from someone who didn't know anything & had to be trained.

Seeing how their career progressed is like watching a damn movie. Like its just crazy... its hard to explain but simply observing their attitudes individually and as a group, their passion and talent, and their music... goddamn that’s insane. The way they remain strong as a group, letting each other dabble solo works without being greedy and selfish.

Wow. This is the first time I'm watching The Most Beautiful Life Goes On. I've been an ARMY for almost 2 years and never heard of it....never heard any other ARMYs talking about it. It's sooo good....so well-researched....so well-edited....so professional. I even learned a few things. I'm so glad I tuned it.
As for the negative comments, please don't hold those against the entire fandom. It's true there are toxic people in every fandom but it's also true that some (maybe even all) of these negative commenters are from other fandoms trying to give us a bad name. Fandom war is a real thing. Just search the Break Wings Project and you'll see. The vast majority of us will ALWAYS welcome anyone who is genuinely interested in getting to know BTS. We all know what the ultimate goals of YT reactors are. And that's fine. We can respect the hustle. And even if their music doesn't fit your taste, it's also fine as long as you give them a chance and are respectful. That's all we ask. And I think you guys are doing a great job.

And The BE ALBUM was largely made by BTS with some help from others, it debut on at #1 Billboard 200 and the song LIFE GOES ON has primarily Korean lyrics it debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 the first Korean song to do so and making it BTS third #1 in less than 4 months.....They continue to make history...Their latest Japanese song that they did for an OST debuted inside the Billboard Hot 100 making it the first Japanese song to appear on the chart in nearly 60 years. This made it so that BTS had 3 Billboard Hot 100 songs on the charts in 3 different languages, Korean, English, and Japanese. DYNAMITE was inside the Hot 100 for 33 consecutive weeks

I suggest reacting to "Who Is Bts? The Seven members". It helps you to take a look at how they contribute to the group individaully a bit more. In this video you will have to read so when reacting we don't mind you pausing so that you can read and take in the information.
And the video introduction to bts is also very nice. Each member has a video where you get to learn more about their personality. I am sure you will also enjoy that one.
Don't need to rush into anything. If anything, as army we should appreciate the amount of time and effort you put into getting to know BTS or any other artist for that matter. I am sure BTS definately appreciates our efforts so we should do the same with others.

I'm glad you got to learn about how they came together, and how they've grown. For me, I fell in love with them because of who they are, and who they are together. Watching them in interviews, how they are at home, traveling together, in their RUN episodes etc.. if you ever get the chance to watch like contemplations of BTS you'll fall in love with them too! I think all their videos they have put out on youtube during the years have got people to get to know them and their sweet funny and lovely personalities and I think that adds to the love for BTS. Knowing their personalities behind the scene. Ofc also that all 7 are so talented individually is a huge part. They are just great. Their solo songs also shows every members own talent and how every single one of them can carry their own.
