That is an awesome first car and was mine as well, but was just a 318 car unfortunately. Although in my early 30s, I picked up another one but was an RT with built 440 and an added six pack that was wicked quick
‘70 Challenger Convertible First Car $1,200 in 1979 U$D! F8 Green / Green interior White Top my San Francisco to Chico State ride . . . those were the days my friend thought they’d never end . . .
Mine was rust free in 78, pale yellow white top and interior tinted windows A/C, traded a pair of fenderwell headers for it. Best friend I ever had. Threw it away to buy a house in 84.
700 for mine in 81,owner was in trouble with authorities needed money never should sold it,took me almost 40 years to get another 68 at a price I could have bought a house for.
The 68 Charger RT is the sweetest of all 2nd gen Chargers. The triple black on this one with the bright chrome is completely awesome... and I love the front fender markers.
That's the damn truth u ain't telling no lies, who ever heard of a 4 door charger, I hope Dodge replicates the 68 charger I think for 2020 or 2021,I seen it on grave yard cars one is already made a prototype and it's perfect.
I was thinking same..otherwise it's a collectible car, soon it will be extinct and will be in our history book..thanks to Hollywood for scraping hundreds of them into junkyard ..
@@77thesnake Same here. From my 65 Impala SS to my 67 RS Camaro back on the day.....if I only had that crystal ball. I would literally have a small fortune right now if I had those classics back that I let go back then.
See, I love that model because of the front grill design it doesn't have the split in the middle. But I'm not a fan of the bullet tail lights, I like the longer bar like taillights.
imagine if a car company embraced these old designs and started remanufacturing them. even under limited production like 30k units they would sell. and if they diversified to basically all old school favorites (69 mustang, 69 challenger, 2000 gt, lancia stratos...) they would become incredibly successful simply by exploiting old designs. the only barrier would be intellectual property laws
I had one. New Dodge red, came out midyear. It was a bright scarlet, Dukes kind of red, not the cherry red or rhe orange. 383 4 barrel, unsilenced air filter, low restriction dual exhausts, 330 horses back when horses were fed real oats, 425 ft lbs of torque 323 rear end, solid black interior, and those great Chrysler mags. There hasn't been a better looking set of wheels since. And that big black, recessed maw of a grill. Circumstances dictated, but the fact I remember all those details to this day is a testimonial to the fact it might have just been the best car ever...
1972 I had a 70 R/T only had the 383 motor it was Dukes orange with a white vinyl top, black buckets and a big back seat , I was 20 years old with a 24 inch waist and a full head of hair, buddy I thought I was the " cats meow "
Yeah the Stepmother had one of these after she wrecked her Corvair ..... Dark forest green with white vinyl top ..... . AND TRADED IT IN for some ugly GRAND PRIX UNFREAKINBELIEVABLE! Seriously #Unthinkable And then Mom had the triple black 1970 Charger..... AND SOLD IT for who knows what all. I seriously think either one of these cars should have went to ME... #MOPAR 1967 1968 1969 had some BEAUTIFUL BEASTS
The '68 Dodge Charger was and still is one of the best looking cars ever made. I miss mine.
He is not one of, he is one
have you sold yours?
@Lamelo for Rookie of the Year The 69 is not better... especially the oversized side marker lights
Is there any difference in body style between the 68 charger and the 68 charger R/T models?
I disagree. It's the absolute best looking car of all time 😊
Jesus, this thing is so beautiful!!! Sounds so amazing!!!! Who needs a stereo with this sound...
2nd generation chargers are the best muscle cars in the world! I hope to have one in my lifetime!
Love that sound over those typical rice rockets that sound like an angry bee.
Lmfao!!
My first car 68 R/T dark green had slotted mag wheels I was the 3rd owner paid $1,700 back in 1979.

This is not a triple black car . To be a triple black car means a black interior black paint and black vinal top.
Now that's how a charger is suppose to look!
One of the best looking charger on TH-cam beautiful car
If you have a '68 you have something and this one is sweet!
Way better looking than the 4 door loaf of bread style brick of today's Chargers!

Even that squeaking heat riser brings tears as my red and white 68 R/T has never been replaced and at 70 now it never will be.
That body style is in the top 5 best of all cars of all time.
Realy nice care there!!! My favorite 68!
It's so gosh darn pretty man I wish I can have one of those babies
why would anyone want to sell a car this gorgeous?
A nasty divorce could force your hand.
I was thinking same..otherwise it's a collectible car, soon it will be extinct and will be in our history book..thanks to Hollywood for scraping hundreds of them into junkyard ..
I had a 68 Charger RT back in 1975. You ask, why would anyone sell a car this gorgeous? It's simple, I didn't have a crystal ball in "75".
@@77thesnake Same here. From my 65 Impala SS to my 67 RS Camaro back on the day.....if I only had that crystal ball.

'68 to '70 Chargers = the coolest looking cars ever made.

Really nice car. Looks amazing. Great job!
Best part about those cars was the coke bottle styling and those hideaway headlights.

One day my Mustang will have a beautiful idle like that, nothing beats the rumble of an old V8, I would love to drive a 440 car before I die
Just gorgeous best year 68. My choice would be a 440 Sixpack, four speed, buckets, console ,Raleye cluster, tic toc tac, rear stripe
Yesss Classic Charger
The best car ever made in the USA

Did it sell? Beautiful car
thanks for not putting a vinyl top on it .
Love it,but it needs the rt strips, white ones
My dream car 😍
Very nice Mopar...
If I had to choose two legendary american muscle cars to fill a dream garage, there will be a blue 1967 Buick Wildcat, and a black 1968 Dodge Charger.
Lots of water coming out of exhaust tho is this normal for a car that age or maybe something wrong with head Gasket ?
What a car 🔛🔛❤❤❤
Nice car...
some advice. Next time try showing the interior. Its a little more important in a sales video than seeing if both turn signals work.
68 RT in black...❤️
It would make a nice fixer upper or daily driver.....
Now that’s how it’s done 🤤
Когда он показал фары,тут я и охуел.... Живая машина, зверь, мечта....
Original wheels, I wonder what it went for. Most go in the 6 figures, that's why they sell them.
