I didn't know anything about hisui's liligant. It looks interesting. but the design kind of puts me off, I don't like most of hisui's shapes, I think it would be this one and the sneasler, I don't know how It is written, that ugly man.
Ngl, was a little strange they introduce a Grass/Fighting type non Sinnoh variant when one of the starters was already a Grass/Fighting non Sinnoh variant.
I honestly wished she had a different typing and a different design that goes along with that typing. Not really because I hate what we got, but rather because having two regional variants having the same type combo feels pretty redundant tbh
This Is What I Call Sinnoh Syndrome. You Get Either The Starter That’s Fire Or The Only 1 Other Thing That’s Fire Which Is Pontya Line. In Your Case, The Chicken Fighting/Grass, Or The Ballerina Fighting Grass.
And in Kanto we had like three Grass/Poison lines; from Johto to Sinnoh we had a Water/Ground pokémon in the pokédex; the infamous three Fire/Fighting starters; Decidueye and Dhelmise in Alola and previous generation two other Ghost/Grass lines; and now in Paldea we have two Fire/Ghost with Ceruledge. So yeah, it isn't strange to have multiple repetitive typing combinations so close to each other.
Hisuian zoroark is immune to both close combat and tera ghost, so highly recommend petal blizzard over sleep powder. Just boost when you can. This is a lot easier on sv battle singles where shed tail isnt banned.
@@TheDeathmail that can still hit hard great tusk, roton w, or water urshifu after the boost... I can't really speak to the competitive viability, but I just want to say H-Lilligant is one of the most fun Pokemon I've ever used. Hustle is a cool risk-reward ability. Give her Wide Lens and 100% accuracy moves and the accuracy is reduced but then brought up to about 88%, which is acceptable given she has a free 50% Attack boost. Can destroy the Ace Academy Tournament and even do well in raids provided you get two Victory Dances up. Her main issue is lack of reliable recovery, especially if you use her in raids. Move pool is pretty nice, too. Petal Blizzard vs. Leaf Blade comes down to if you want no contact and hitting all opponents, or if you want a higher crit chance. Axe Kick vs. Close Combat comes down to if you want confusion chance but shaky accuracy, or if you want better accuracy and willing to accept lower defensive stats. Then either another offensive move or Sleep Powder (Hustle doesn't hurt its accuracy).
I see her being potentially huge in both doubles teams and on sun teams in solo, tho sadly sun currently isn't as popular due to the introduction of basculegion so idk if she'll be very common, I see her dropping to uu but I don't think she'll be bad at all in ou, I see her being potentially very balanced
I use a tera ground with focus sash on a rain team in doubles as basically a sun counter. They replace the rain with sun, she victory dances, gets all chlorophyll'd up and goes crazy
@Denis Dreshaj it's similar to how in gen 5 sand rush excadrill was banned from being on the same as any sand stream pokemon, so instead it found a home on rain teams, where if a sand team came along and replaced the rain with sand it would activate excadrills sand rush
I prefer running hustle with Flower Trick and Aerial Ace on her in STABmons on Pokemon Showdown. Basically, Hisuian Decidueye, but she gets more opportunities to set up. She's the new Roaring Moon!
Drain Punch would have made her amazing for raids since you can combine it with Hustle and Victory Dance. This is probably why she doesn't get it anymore.
I'm coming to the point of thinking why hisuian lilligant is not NOT weak to ice types. There are several things I want to say about this, however. 1) the dex entry "its well-developed legs are the result of a life spent on mountains covered in deep snow." It's legs are MADE were developed via years of living atop snow-covered mountains. But what if I told you *it's still weak to ICE* Why couldn't it be Grass/Ice type, instead of Grass/Fighting type? Like, did the guy who was in charge of pokemon typings MISS the whole point of its DESIGN? Like, it's a skater. What do skaters wear? Ice skates. What do Ice skates do? Allow the user to skate on Ice. What do lilligant's "shoes" represent? *ICE SKATES.* So it should be Grass/Ice. It's feet are literal Ice skates. I personally think the pokemon typing guy missed the whole point of the design of the legs. 2) it's appearance. I've told you that lilligant resembles an ice skater, right? If not, its "feet" are not the only things that give out evidence of a skater-inspired design. *there's also what it appears to be "wearing."* It look like it has a leotard on (which some athletic people wear), as well as its skate-shaped feet. The other thing is its flower on its head, which resembles a common headwear for elegant dancers, or skaters like herself. I think personally, lilligant's hisuian form is an ice dancer, more like one of those "strictly come dancing on ice" contestants. 3) movement and poses Hisuian lilligant can be shown as elegant with movement and graceful with how it skates. Yes, it SKATES. Why else wouldn't an ice dancer choose to skate. And yes, I know, "but it skates on grass" and all that, but look, regardless of terrain or climate, it skates. "Why on earth can she do that? Why does she skate on anything?" It's because she just can. *she's a skater.* *deal with it.* Now admit that hisuian lilligant should be a grass/ice type. But wait... there's more! If you don't believe it should be an ice type, I've got the best reason for you: 4) it has no ability that all that can neutralise the damage done done by ice type moves. Here we go now. what we are gonna talk about is how its signature ability DOES NOT have an "ice type attacks are reduced by half" gimmick, like Thick Fat does. Game freak also failed to realise that this cinnamon roll is a skater, so what I'd suggest the ability would be is this: *ABILITY: ICE DANCER* *"THE USER'S SKATE-LIKE LEGS ALLOW THE USER TO INCREASE ITS SPEED STAT IN SNOW, WHILST ALSO YEARS OF LIVING IN COLD CLIMATES HALVES THE DAMAGE TAKEN FROM ICE-TYPE ATTACKS.* I feel like that could be a great ability, but I do not know if it might be unbalanced or a great idea. So yes, that's my reasons why Hisuian Lilligant should be Grass/Ice. 😊
Sleep Powder on a fast boosting Pokémon is usually good. Regular Lilligant does the same thing but with Quiver Dance. Some might even hold the Wide Lens to increase Sleep Powder’s Accuracy from its already relatively high 75%.
Probably the ONLY Pokemon that I think that dumb looking Crystal Statue from Terastalization looks good due the placement and Liligant style. C u t e . . . Don't play (YET) the current Gen, but in Radical Red Romhack? She's one of my favorites to use due the options.
Shelter boosting Evasion would’ve just made it completely banned. Also, Victory Dance in PLA boosted Attack and Crit. So while it’s not as offensively powerful in SV, it’s actually better overall because of the Speed boost. Lastly, they made Shelter do the same thing as Iron Defense, not Defense Curl.
You don’t usually want to run both Hustle and Sleep Powder. But if you really want to, just take the first set in the description (it’s supposed to be Hustle) and replace one of the moves with Sleep Powder. Although you will lose either coverage or power depending on what move you replace.
I'm sorry to say this. But H-Liligant is dropping to UU it gets walled by other mons like Glowking, Skeledirge, and more. And when it's walled it's prone to be underwhelming. It's Abilities and frailty are also quite to blame. So it's not exactly high risk high reward when it's walled by common mons.
