Plus I guess it would be normal anyway if he didn't sound exactly as the character he voiced more than 10 years ago.

Death Note is one of the biggest classics in anime with an amazing plot and character writing. this scene along with the potato chip one are the most iconic... it still gives me goosebumps picturing Light with his crazy red eyes laughing and finally confessing being Kira in front of everyone... simply genius level voice acting. Kudos to this legend
