That definitely guarantees you won't have a lost signal at that point. I've always used a double square knot but never checked if there was a voltage drop. Thanks for sharing.

Seen people punt the plastic off then tie the wire I currently just tie knots but now that ground is froze im noticing the drop and a lot more clicking at my knots

Yes and honestly for some of my stuff I just tie a knot but to make a really good connection it helps to do it that way

I suppose that a surefire way to keep your current. But I’ve honestly never experience a loss of current just tying the two pieces together.
