After so many updates and new characters, I feel it is very difficult to figure out which is the best character ?
Best character in terms of
1) sheer destruction
2) ease of play
3) best passive
4) go to character for boss battles
I think klassic liu kang and johnny beats everyone in each category.
Next to them would be injustice/classic raiden

This is in general.
Undead cage is the go to for most battles as he works well for most things. Fast, ease of play with snare and power drain he is fantastic for practically most battles.
Lou Kang is fantastic for his passive and is a beast in general.
Klassic raiden also for most things but for non boss battles he is one of the best for shaving off all the health.
Injustice raiden in general as well and can block off X rays.
MK2 scorpion is fantastic in general, some of the best basics and the sp1 spam is very good.
Others can be rated higher than then on specific situations. Like dark fate would be a good to when you need him for enraged and empowered battles to avoid xrays
