Jørgen Ramdahl Clarkson said that his daughter’s boyfriend doesn’t know anything about cars and had no idea what Clarkson does.
Splestrie I thought the same thing but she’s very attractive. You can see the resemblance but even Clarkson was quite good looking in his younger days.
Met all three of these guys randomly over the last 10 years and they were just so great. It is weird but they are like idols and iconic figures as I grew up with them on my tele and gave me so many laughs that me and my friends still talk about to this day.
Met May in a random book store in Bude, Cornwall.
Met Hammond in a petrol station just outside Kings Lynn not long after his second crash.
And met Clarkson in a pub in Nottingham of all places. He even paid for our drinks and was very much the comedian in his own way.
Legends, all three of them.

It is true though. Nobody wants to see all the safety nonsense. That is the reason Nascar is bigger than F1 even though by all standards it is worse racing. But there are big wrecks and then the track is cleared and it continues. Excitement is what people what, not safety.
F1 ended in 1979. Simple as that . It cannot be recreated because that world ended about then. And won`t return. We`ve become different people. Like we don`t do gladiators, real ones, anymore.
Brilliant interviewer, a whole different world when you have someone who can get them to talk.
Seriously mate absolutely brilliant. Should be the only man to interview them from this point.
Amazon should launch a ' James May Fashion ' line.

Honestly James, Jeremy and Hammond are lovely persons, love the way they talk etc when they are not acting
Specials are by far my favourite. I'm really not a car guy, it's just that I find the script/personalities so cunning that I can't stop watching (though I find some of the more technical videos tedious, so I often skip them). The specials however are brilliant, if they keep doing the specials and I will watch forever.
I feel exactly the same and my kids love the specials as well, they are really educational

Axe Man Clarkson may be lil bit bitter, but fking hell, Argentina is a beautiful country. You’ve got Patagonia’s Antarctic glaciers down south, the Amazonian jungles of Iguazu falls up north and the Alpine peeks/vineyards of Mendoza out west.

How great was this interviewer wtf? Legit one of the few times the interviewer is just as enjoyable to listen to as the main act
I very much doubt that anyone wouldn’t want to be friends with any of these guys, they are all funny and have personalities that exude fun, laughter and conversation.
I enjoyed the specials where they built their own cars or lorry’s or modifyed their cars

Today I binge watched season 19 including the two-part Africa special (my personal favourite of all the specials), and for the first time, the Seamen . It's weird how time flies. They've grown visibly older, except for Hammond who still looks 38. But the cocking around is still the same. The Seamen really showed that what truly made Top Gear and Grand Tour great is the fantastic chemistry between these three. Also let's not forget Mr Wilman who's been there behind them for almost two decades now.

Funny that you say on air that you felt nervous and shy. Before the radio section, I thought "hmm, what a good interviewer." They were good interviews.

I like some of the specials a lot, but I liked the track tests, smaller competitions they would have among themselves & studio banter better than the specials.

Slightly terrible body language on May there for a bit. Reminiscent of his bath with Oz Clarke. Crossed legs and arms. Lovely interviews. Hammond seems to be at ease the most at those promos. He is just the best at telling stories with his incredibly likeable radio voice.
