For instance in episode 3 Bertholt kept saying that he had that one dream about the story the old man told them before hanging himself and If you rewatch the show, in the first few episodes when Bertholt lies to eren about his and Reiner’s fake hometown he uses the exact same words. This show is insane under all aspects

these reactions make me realize how despite the ending and some late episodes that is season 4 is truly the most packed and exciting season, I mean it’s expected since the story already gathered a lot of pieces to work with, but honestly every single episode it was always something big as well as focusing on characters growth so unlike other seasons where one thing would be prioritized more and rightfully so since it was more about the mystery and nailed it.
Amazing it took em that long to figure it out. They told us in season 1 when mikasa was kidnapped as a kid that there “used to be different kinds of ppl in the world”…but they(and us as the audience)were told all of mankind had went extinct outside the walls. So the Eldians in the walls knew different races existed once but they had never seen anyone and thats why mikasa and her mother were considered valuable & targeted by the kidnappers cuz they were “exotic”. So it wasn’t very surprising to me that when we discovered mankind was alive and well outside the walls that there would be different races & nations come into the story.

For example, in early episodes, when Armins uncle died, Eren sweared he will receive «the power to fight titans». Of course, back then what he meant is to join scouts and master ODM gear, this was a power for him. But in fact, the second meaning, it turned out - to become the titan. So the full convo between Eren and Armin were: Eren: I will get the power to fight titans Armin: Then i will, too! In this particular scene, Armin also told something like: «I’m ready to die if it needs to». Not exact citation but very similar sounding. Meaning, die working hard. But also, a reference to a couple seasons in future. Then Mikasa stumbled into their convo: Mikasa: Then i will, too! Eren: You don’t need to! So even though they were talking about joining scouts. In fact, it was pretty much about becoming titans. Indeed, Mikasa didn’t need to - she’s already special, and has plenty of power to fight titans as she is.
