Hi, my name is Jake Golding, a certified arborist at Stewart's Tree Service. Today we're going to talk about aspen leaf spot. If your leaves turn brown similar to this one here or have fallen off prematurely during our summer months, that is all related to aspen leaf spot.
This is a common disease that happens to our aspen trees throughout the valley. Typically, the best time to treat for it is during our spring months, April through May. As this disease is festering and beginning to develop, we try to get a disease chemical on there during that period of time when the bud is breaking and swelling open.
If you have any questions or your tree is turning black on those sections of the leaves or if the leaves are falling off prematurely, give us a call. We do have a treatment we apply April through May, like we had mentioned, to help decrease the chance of the tree getting aspen leaf spot.
