That turned out so cute! I might have to try it with some of my husband’s shirts! He is a XXLT and I’ve never tried to up cycle them! I have thought about using them in my quilting! Most of them are 100% cotton and with the price of fabric now, they would save me a lot of money! Thanks for sharing!❤
Let me tell you the neatest idea I stumbled across. I wish I remembered the youtube video. You know the safety suction stick to the shower wall hand holds. Someone had taken the smallest size and suctioned it to her quilting ruler. So easy to move and position the ruler. Absolutely brilliant, I thought. LOVE this top. Will be using this idea in making Christmas tops for my granddaughters. 🥰
I'm soo excited to find this idea. I have so many items in my closet that go unworn (for many reasons) and this is a chance to create new tops from them!
Very cute, you've inspired me to know what to do with some of my late fathers flannels that I love but didn't really want to run around in my dad's shirts as they are. Thank you for this❤.
I totally agree with you Sherry that it’s so satisfying to create something unique and God is the author of our creative gifts and talents. We are made in the image of our creator indeed. Thank you for an amazing tutorial and sharing your tips like how to use the piece of smooth cardboard to sew the embellishment to the pocket.
You are so inspiring. I have been upcycling flannel shirts and fleece tops, combining the two. This has given me yet another idea. This is soooo my style! As is most of what you create. Keep these videos coming. PLEASE AND THANKS!
Sherry! I love your videos, because of your beautiful givening spirit, your so patient and such a wonderful teacher, I am going to watch it again ❤ love you🎉
Thank you so much for generously sharing this design with us. Your teaching style encourages everyone, teaches all that it can be done, and in each one's own design. Helpful tips also. Thank you for your time and patience.
Cutting that straight line is not the easiest step for me! The suggestion to allow for a redo is great. When I buy cheapo items to work with I measure from every direction - side-to-side, bottom up, top down. I'm always very glad to see you Sherry! I'm glad you revisited this shirt. I'm making denim tote/grocery bags for family for Christmas. Because I've bought way too many old denim jeans recently. But now I'm thinking that a sibling or two might enjoy a simple shirt like this. Thank you!😊
Cuffs, collars or any portion can be used into making quilts, totes, rugs, pot
holders, binding, etc.
Love the top.

You are welcome and yes it would save alot of money and they are often much better quality than the fabric one can purchase.

I made a upcycled skirt from a waistband of my worn out shorts and men's shirts. Frayed edges everywhere, patches and a little bleach.

"collar stay"
It's a funny name because those foolish pieces of plastic are always falling out in the wash lol!!
