Chrono Trigger is one game that never needs to be remade, it's already flawless!
I completely agree! Thank you! I'm just afraid it would end up tainting my memory of it and I never ever want that to happen! I look at Final Fantasy 7 a lot different now and not really in such a good way. It bothers me. Some stuff is cool but there are some really dumb things that I feel have tarnished the original for me.
@@AgileFan0 I was the same way when FFVII Remake came out. It tainted my memories of the original game and lessened my appreciation of it. But once Rebirth came out, I swapped to looking at it in the lens of "these aren't remakes, they're sequels" and that's helped a lot. I've also replayed the original VII recently and now I appreciate it much more than I ever did in the past.
@@AnaverdGaidenI did something like that in that I looked at it like another take on it but I don't know, once I saw the ending of remake, I realized Square was going to go where ever they wanted with it and it was only going to get more outta hand. I see what you mean though. Guess I'm just too much of a purist or maybe I just don't like my memories that I cherish so much to be messed with...? I don't know. As much as I often cringe at some of the stuff in FF7 Remake & Rebirth, I still watch them online so I guess I'm ultimately the one to blame.
@@AgileFan0 Don't worry, I'm a purist with this stuff too. I prefer remakes to be as much like the original as possible, just improved in sensible ways. I think if developers change a ton of things in a remake then it's not really a remake anymore, it's just a new game and the original kind of becomes lost to time.
Oh trust me, I feel the same way lol. I absolutely despised Remake but I bought Rebirth at launch anyway so I could talk to a friend about it. Overall it's not an abysmal game (I'd give it like a 7.5/10), but the story, music, padding, and visual style are all terrible and overall it's nowhere near as good as the original FFVII. The fact that Rebirth sold so badly means that most people agree with you after they saw how Remake turned out, and how it wasn't really a remake.
@@AnaverdGaiden I didn't know Rebirth didn't sell well. Wow, I thought the opposite. Wonder what Square will do...
I was SO close to buying a Playstation & Remake right up until I saw the ending and then I was like, whoa, glad I dodged that bullet. I'd have been ticked. There was a lot I didn't like but I wanted to play it anyway but in retrospect, I'm glad I didn't.

I just wish he put more dynamics in his performance especially the chorus parts, it would be tremendously beyond perfect, but this is already a perfection , I love it and this is just the only complain I have and it's just merely my personel preference.
@@sprazer I'm curious about how long he practices these before recording them. He's the one making the arrangements, so we really have no idea when they were created vs. when they were seriously practiced.

Another excellent piano cover by Mr. Morishita, and it's not just any track, but the main theme to one of the greatest RPGs ever made. We can only hope something truly amazing can be done with Chrono Trigger in much the same vein as Super Mario RPG getting that impressive remake in November.

I have to give it to Square (I'm old), they have a great catalogue of tunes that still sound classy as hell on just a piano. As much as I would die on the hill of some kind of superiority (personally)for megaten music in comparison, I don't think a lot of that catalogue is as sonically agile, so to speak.
