    I was a pilot in the 48th AHC in 1971 with Phil. He was a good stick and more importantly a good man.

      @@WilliamSlye-vl6pp I was deeply saddened to receive your message about Phil's passing. I still remember the first time I met him in Vietnam. Grace and Peace to you and Phil's family.

    A man of many parts! Pilot, vet, boatbuilder, and now pilot/instructor. Strong sense of duty. The interviewer was very good. From the other side of the Pond, thank you for your service,

    as a fellow veteran I salute you doctor. And the America we see today is not the one you and I were raised in it is so sad to see America in this shape

    He is correct about age and reliving those gremlins. As a 30 year street cop in a large city, I now relive and recall lots of the misery I witnessed.

    This guy agrees to be interviewed about his experience in Vietnam but won’t share his stories about what happened. This man was not interesting, boring and quiet frankly not a good listen.

    • @rider660r
      @rider660r ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a good listen although a lot is not said,but that was because of the incompetent imbecile conducting the interview that kept him from opening up and telling more of his story. If the interviewer was a Vet also or at least had military service there more than likely been more to his story,it's seen in many many other interviews that have Vets to conduct the interview....well except Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library with the old man conducting,he's just as bad as she is,and IDK if he was a Vet or not.

      I went to high school with Philip. He died last week. Show a little respect. Just because he didn't want to talk about blood and gore war stories, you were bored.

    • @dwainlsmith
      @dwainlsmith ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mdp4440 I agree with you. We spent 4 years in veterinary school together. Occasionally, while studying together, one of those gremlins would peek through. He would share his recollection of a specific event with me; then he'd get back to the business at hand - getting on with life. He was a man of honor, compassion, and integrity. I will miss him greatly.
