I find your music wonderfully reminiscent of some of the best girl bands of the 1980s like The Go Gos and Bangles - two of my favorites. Those gals knew how to rock, and so do you. The comparison isn't perfect, of course, because you possess a unique, almost undefinable quality, that sets you apart from all who came before you. I couldn't possibly define you or your musical style with just two words. What two words could possibly do you justice?
Such an icon. Yes, impossible to define the new music. A genre label doesn't express how much heart, pain, and love is at the centre of the new tracks!
01:00 In a world that often seems to celebrate shock value over substance... when we resort to swearing or crude behavior, it reflects a temporary attempt to connect, but it can easily alienate those who seek genuine interactions. Immorality, whether in language or action, often serves as a superficial mask, distracting from authentic character. People are drawn to integrity, kindness, and respect-qualities that foster lasting relationships. The real challenge lies in recognizing that true attraction comes from vulnerability and authenticity, not from bravado or shock tactics. When we embrace honesty and treat others with respect, we create an environment where the right people are naturally drawn to us. This not only enriches our connections but also cultivates a community grounded in shared values and mutual respect. ... let us remember that the most powerful magnet for the right people is not the allure of rebelliousness but the strength of our character. It's in our choices and how we choose to express ourselves that we truly define the connections we seek.
This is a great comment, and I couldn’t agree with you more. A year ago, when we filmed this, I was in a very different place on my journey. I grew up always having to protect myself, which gave me a survival mode mentality. This past year has been one of the biggest for me in terms of growth-I’ve experienced so much kindness and respect. I’m learning to outgrow 'survival mode' and embrace simply existing without always being in fight-or-flight. It took me a while to share this documentary because I knew someone might point this out. But I chose to share it because it’s real and authentic. It reflects a stressful time in my life and how lost I felt. I’m unapologetically me, and I’m proud of the growth I see in that girl-the one who was brave enough to be vulnerable and share her story. I’m really excited for you to see the next chapter and where this journey is taking me. There's so much more to come, and I can't wait to share it with you.
I love this Michelle. Total chills at the end. You've come so far ❤Can't wait for the world to hear the music you've been writing lately
