Me and a few other Airmen had a house there in 1964 which we visited on our 3 day off cycles. What a wonderful time we had.
We would walk over the woods to the other side of the island beach.

The house was at one of the highest points over the city. It had been won by a poor women who put a few lira in a bank contest. We rented it from her. We had a retired Turkish General as a neighbor.
