If you're looking for a more light-hearted song to analyze, I think C.H.E.R.U.B. could be fun. There's a surprising amount hidden in that song that most people don't notice since it's so early in the series.
I think the reason Fizz is so devoted to Mammon is that Mammon paid for all the prosthetics that enable him to exist as he does. I assume the explosion happened soon after Fizz won the first competition and Mammon didn't want to lose his newest brand. This also brought Fizz and Asmodeas into contact since Asmodeas was the one who designed the replacement limbs.
Fizz as been Mammon's brand for 10 years, and the explosion that maimed him was 15 years prior to the series. So it's more likely Fizz was allowed to be part of the competition as a pity case that was only intended to entertain but not win. But Mammon realized how the crowd loved Fizz so he makes him his brand.
@@victoryangel29 There's something in that time period that hasn't been fully revealed. Mammon said he would be starting his yearly clown pageant, but then there's a five year gap. I still think Mammon was responsible for Fizz getting his limbs during this period. It could be that Fizz won the first competition, then the accident knocked him out for the gap period. He returned after the gap as Mammon's mascot as repayment for the care he received. This seems to make sense to me.

Since Fizz's arms and legs were destroyed in the fire 15 years ago, he may have been abandoned as useless by Cash Buckzo. In this five year period, Fizz would have had these really crappy prostettics. Since the only thing he had ever done in his life was be a circus performer he had no other skills. So he practiced a routine that the felt would get him into the show. On the day of the try outs the routine doesn't go right, but Fizz forces himself to go along with it as though it's all part of the act. The judges feel he is pathetic, but let him on to the competition as he is amusing enough to make it through the first few competitions. Fizz actually makes it to the final round, but in his final performance his prostetic limbs actually fall off or even break. The audiance still sees this as part of the act a love it. Causing Mammon to make Fizz his new brand. Once they are back stage, Mammon points out that they need to do something about his prostetics because he needs Fizz to be marketable. And the way he is now isn't marketable.
Greed is perhaps the most dangerous because it has no limit. At some point, more money offers minimal practical benefit. Greed eventually becomes an obsession with making a number bigger by any means necessary even if it means ruining the lives of countless others.
that's true! even worse, as the number grows larger, the urge to continue that growth grows with it, often making individuals desperate and thirsty, leading to an eventual caving to "unethical" practices to say the least. it's ultimately a vicious cycle. huge congratulations to you for bringing that point up!
The deadly sins are noted to be embodiments of the sin they represent and money is often know to deafen blind and mute people (not literally) so mammon being the embodiment of greed so want more and more money and make someone slowly look more important and also rich people often seem to be one and a half of a bastard so if money makes you rich rich people are anoing rich people are often greedy and mammon is the embodiment of greed you can see that mammon wasn’t made to be a lovable character (also if u were wondering y I didn’t capitalise mammons name well it’s not cuz I’m lazy it’s cuz he doesn’t deserve to have a capitalised name)
It's unclear if Overlords are spacificly sinners as Lucifer, Charlie, and the Van Eldrichs are classified as Overlords. Asmodeus is actually one of the 9 Goetic Kings. So it is possible for a Goetic Demon to become one of the seven sins, though Ozzie may be a special case as he is the only sin who is part of the Ars Goetia.
At the start of the episode when talking to Fizzarolli about Mammon, Ozzie says “I’ve known that guy since the start of Hell” … since the *start of Hell.* While we don’t have an exact timeline for how long it took for Lucifer to establish Hell with Lilith after his Fall we do know that his Pride (and idiocy) let evil loose into the world, people began to sin … No mention is made of any other Seraphim/Angels falling like Lucifer did, I like to think that Ozzie and the other Sins are physical manifestations of the collective sins of the humans who ended up in Hell. So I think things went like this: Fall -> Humans Sin -> Lucifer establishes Hell -> Seven Deadly Sins gain physical forms/power from the many Sinners and encourage them to Sin more, continuing the Cycle All just guesses until Vivzie confirms it one way or another but it’s fun to imagine 😄😄😄
According to Vivziepop’s Hierarchy of Hell the Overlords are *above* the Sinners (makes sense as they are all, far as we’re aware, Earthborn Souls who gained a lot of power after death, but they are *beneath* the Ars Goetia, who are themselves beneath the Seven Deadly Sins. But since Helluva Boss is based on the Hellborn Demons, it is likely that the natives of Hell do have a different definition of things in the Heirarchy of Hell. However, in the Finale Song of Hazbin Hotel. We do see Vox has a dart board with Strings attached to the various Overlords of Pentagram city. Both Lucifer and Charlie have photos on that board, so they do have an Overlord Classification even if they aren't part of the councel.

Suggests that Sera has seen this fate happen to other Angel's before. There are theories that Carmilla may be a fallen angel. Which does make some sense as she does know quite a bit about the exorcist's fighting style and weak points. Something she only could have known if she was from Heaven herself. I do believe it possible that she could be Chamuel. The Archangel Chamuel is the Cheif Angel of Love. But also is connected to strength. Also in on Charlie's call list we see the name Azazel. This is the name of one of the leaders a group of 200 angels that became fallen after their actions led to the Great Flood from Noahs Ark.

We know she realistically could have ended Valentino if not for his treatment of Angel then for the creepy tongue thing he did with her! But the only reason she didn’t is the honestly quite f*cking infuriating “but that’s so _meeean!”_ mentality she has. All of Hell treats her as a joke because that’s honestly all she is at this point. Come on she spent most of the _Battle to the Death_ with the Exorcists throwing sparkle bombs and yelling “sorry!” all while her people, who she made a big thing about saving to Lucifer, were being slaughtered. Then she went and got her ass handed to her by Adam and it was only Lucifer showing up that saved her pathetic ass, she can’t even fly so really what is she could for apart from pestering anyone and everyone about redemption? Honestly what she needs is meeting a particularly vile Sinner and realising Hell has a purpose because not everyone deserves redemption (like Valentino), because at this point she’s so stupidly soft I can honestly see him trying to convince her he wants redemption to try and get to Angel and her being too stupid to see it. Also-also that Finale musical number did NOT feel earned: why was the Hotel bunch singing like they already _knew_ Redemption was possible but they’re all currently assuming Pentious is gone forever? Had she been told he was in Heaven I’d be way more forgiving, but they should have held that song back till they knew it was possible. It’s a fun show with some awesome songs but it has issues!
Blitzø being shown is not just to keep the continuity or given him something to do, his appearance also lines up with the lyrics as well. Fizz was singing “too late to apologize” about how it’s both too late for him to take back everything he says in this song or also for Mammon to try to apologize to him (though he never would) but on the opposite end Blitz being there shows that in his case it ISN’T too late to apologize to try and rebuild their friendship!

I'm pretty sure Ozzie's look at 27:06 (as well as him covering up with the curtains at 28:22) was due to Fizz's performance becoming perhaps a bit too sexy after tearing off the midriff of his suit and posing like that rather than concern that he may be going a bit far with saying that he hopes Mammon dies or being worried that people might notice his presence (rather worrying they notice the presence of a certain part of him, pff, though perhaps that's what you meant with the "Uh, I'm showing a bit too much here" XD)
