The Magalas and Jiivas are the only monsters that we get to see/fight the juvenile form. Kinda weird you only get to see young elder dragons but not like, a Rath
I think a younger Rathalos would be well...a smaller weaker Rathalos. The thing with Magala and Jiiva is they have more of a metamorphis, rather than just "growing bigger and older" which obviously makes for a better fight and monster concept. That being said I like to imagine that when you randomly encounter a smaller sized monster it's a younger one.
Well a young rath would be the equivalent of fighting a baby lion in the real world... That wouldn't really be a fight it would just be you beating up a baby that can't use it's fire breath and will barely be able to fly Young elders make sense as when they grow old they are literal forces of nature so they are still powerful when young
I never understood how the scheme of this weapon works, like the color does not correspond to the level of projectiles, after all, what do these colors mean??? would that be the amount of damage from the shot??
Mhgu gunlance was nerfed from mh4u. They do so by adding a heat mechanic, by shelling with your gunlance you build heat, you start at yellow, if you shell a lot it goes to orange then red. The heat increases the damage of your pokes, I believe red heat is like 20% additional damage on pokes. The catch is that if you shell too much and reach the end of the gauge you overheat, putting your wyvern fire on cooldown (the big explosive finisher of the weapon) and you get dropped back to yellow, it sucks. To avoid this you want to go high in red and use your wyvern fire, doing so will slightly reduce your heat but more importantly locking it for the duration of the wyvern fire cooldown. This allows you to benefit from the raw damage buff. It's a nerf because the damage boost you get from managing your heat was basekit in MH4U, you basically have another step to the weapon for it to be as good as before.
Ah alright. I accidentally started recording this one after the quest started so I forgot what G rank it was lol. Thanks for letting me know I'll edit the title.

I love Gore Magala's desing so much! I know he was in Rise, but I hope he returns in MH Wilds

where are you playing this? the fps looks so smooth.
You can get 60fps with Vulkan driver on Ryujinx emulator easily with a fairly decent configuration
Gore Magala is G3 btw, not G4.
