I’m an Iraqi American and I love Duhok, I am planning to live in Duhok if I decide to go back to Iraq, visited this city twice , the weather and people are both nice. I like it more than Erbil .. so safe and good for families! I have a Kurdish friend that would teach me Kurdish to be able to communicate with the wonderful people there!

It is wonderful to witness a Laplander, a Swiss visiting Kurdistan. If you get the chance again, you will witness wonderful landscapes during a trip if made in spring or summer. Your choice to travel alone scares me. There are dangerous people everywhere, don't trust anyone, be careful. If you have the financial means, traveling by caravan or a 4-wheeler would be more comfortable and safer, as you know. Motorcycles are not comfortable at all. Stay safe and stay happy Laplander girl, you are amazing!
