MemoryMedic you do get used to it. I try to just keep walking and ignore the comments or I will talk to my dog, like give her a command to focus on me or heal. It is all part of the deal unfortunately. People as a whole are not too bright when it comes to things they do not understand. I will tell you this... one day as I was walking the mall with my friend and her dog, a very creepy, rude guy behind us tried RELENTLESSLY to distract my dog with kissy noises, snapping fingers, clapping and laughing really loudly. I stopped short in front of him and he almost knocked me over . I gave him the stare of death and asked him why he is being such an asshole! He looked at me like he was shocked that I stopped and addressed him at all. He was embarrassed and apologized several times. I couldn’t believe his behavior! A look, glance and even a couple awwwwwws I can deal with, but dude was kinda stalking us! Just do what I did if that happens. You’d be surprised on how they react.
@15:53 again what the hell? She purposely trying to step on dakota tail! Wtfb 😑 and she "oh im sorry" like what? U are purposely putting ur foot out to step on the dogs tail!
Had a little girl try to kick my service dog while I was at mass at St Paul’s Cathedral in New York City. The kids mother didn’t seem surprised she tried to kick my dog! The space between pews was so narrow I had to have my dog in the aisle. After 3 other people stepping on my dog the little girl was the last straw. I sat on the steps running the length of the sanctuary, they were set back from the aisle and out of the walking path. My husband and I were there with my daughters high school choir, they had performed at Carnegie Hall the night before. This was Memorial Weekend and it was a beautiful service with many military participants in the service with the Bishop. I was appalled at the hundreds of people who treated the church sanctuary like a tourist stop and wandered around during the mass taking photos, which is why my dog was getting stepped on.
Ciel One Hell of A Service Dog the Pope issued a proclamation that service dogs are welcome in ALL Catholic Churches. I take my service dog to functions at my daughters catholic school all the time. The only problem I have is the school priest loves to pet my dog, kinda hard to tell the priest no, especially when he is such a kind man 😝
I think the staring/glances is granted with so many service pups in one area (like the guy and his kid looking how do you know he wasn't explaining to his son what service dogs are and how they're working therefore you can't go pat) however the pictures are NOT okay and it's an over step on privacy and just common decency.
I agree that a gathering of service dog teams would get attention. The dad may well be teaching his child about working dogs too (good on him!). I would also point out that Lexie is taking video of people...which makes complaining about others doing so a bit one-sided. If the arguments is that handlers can film because it's a public space, so can anyone else.
@Vincent Ray Ahhh, my apologies I got mixed up with what you were commenting on. You are 100% correct. It can be a bit rude at times (having somebody just record and take pics of you) but is fully legal and allowed.

I 100% agree that if they stood there for a few seconds but some people were there for quite a bit. People need to keep in mind that it is very rude to stare, no matter what your looking at. If there were 20 people in wheel chairs passing by you, yeah you would look, but you wouldn't stand there just baffled by the fact that there are 20 people in wheel chairs. People need to understand that there are so many different people in this world, people who if know your staring at them begin to feel uneasy and could go into a panic attack. You never know, so if you see something cool, don't stare for to long unless it's there for your entertainment, which they certainly where not.
Personally when i see a dog i look to see if its service or pet cause pets are stupid to bring to walmart or something where its not allowed and im always there and then after that i get lost in how cute the dog frekin is....im a child at heart...but then i look at the owner cause they are sometimes pissed at me for looking and i feel guilty so i smile say cute lil dude there then awkwardly walk away cause im an awkward bean...this happens all the time i cant stop help....its like a endless awkward cycle
Oh didnt specify nah i glance at the dog for 2 seconds (Mississippi stuff) then the owner immediately from awkward panic...i aint starin or takin rude ass pics
They did it to get the point across that its rude. They are not being assholes just because they are sticking up for themselves. Get with the program. @Mya_xia UXU
It's like their taking a picture of a wheel chair or oxygen tank. The dog is medical and psychiatric alert so she/he is basically her medical equipment
@@stackofthwoksGacha why? I don't mean to be rude, just I want to know for the future because if a dog is super cute I am going to look at it. kateelisaxo it can cause extreme anxiety and panic for the handler. it can trigger some people’s PTSD or other mental illness. i’m autistic + PTSD and if crowds of people were staring at me i would start having an extreme panic attack. plus, it’s rude in general. you shouldn’t be watching people intently who are minding their own business. it’s weird.
kateelisaxo you wouldn’t stare at people with wheelchairs, you shouldn’t stare at service dogs who are working. they are working to aid with a disability, just like a wheelchair would for certain physical disabilities. it makes a spectacle of the service dog. it isn’t a free animal zoo for you to view, it’s an actual medical aid and they are on duty. staring could distract them and/or cause anxiety and panic to the handler. all in all it’s just really uncomfortable. plus people with service dogs don’t want to draw unwanted attention..they aren’t trying to be special. they need them for medical reasons. it shouldn’t be something people feel the need to stare at. i hope my comments make sense!
It can be. My daughter's boy is still young and he views, at this point, staring at him as a threat to either him or my daughter. He will vocally tell you to look somewhere else.
To be completely fair while I'm sure you held their attention longer because of the dogs a group of people sitting on the floor inside a store would already have perfect staring at you. This is in no way a judgment I've only just started public access with my puppy and I'm aware it can be ridiculous.
I *can't* believe there were over 100 people staring and people taking pics of y'all. I would freak out! Lol stupid auto correct said don't I meant can't
If you're in public they can, you might not like it, but it's not against the law to take pictures of others. Anyone has a right to take photographs and video in public places in the United States is protected under the First Amendment under free speech. that includes people, while it's weird and creepy, it's not against the law. Only when it's federal, or private property is it illegal, or unless specified by signs. Even being on a sidewalk, taking pictures of a government building is legal, because a sidewalk is public access, but on their initial property, you can't.
@@dieselwolf3005 I never said it was against the law. I know it's legal. I just think it's crazy how many people there were staring and taking pictures. And I'm fine with it being legal.
But for adults to take pictures of minors which is anyone under 18 is illegal, and Lexie is under 18 so is illegal for them to take pictures of them, and her boyfriend too is under the age of 18 so it was illegal in that case. So there you go.
Hey if you’re sitting on the floor, leaning on products don’t act like people can’t look at you! I fully respect your situations - I suffer from ptsd as well. Doesn’t mean the other people are any less than you. I don’t agree with pictures either, but then again you are recording children! It’s a shitty situation from both sides.
Girlllll I hear you on the stares and pictures! However.... I think at least half of them were because there were a bunch of you sitting on the floor in the middle of the store. Yes, when you need to sit and let your dog task, by all means, do it! I think we are all guilty of not listening to our dogs alerts sometimes and we really should! I wouldn’t have been able to be in that store more than 5 minutes with all the foot traffic in there, so good on you all for pushing on. My anxiety brain was screaming on the inside when I saw how crowded that store was. I’m not saying that you did anything wrong at all, as you are well within your rights to do what you did. I just think that was why you got so many looks. The general public knows very little about us or how our dogs work for us. For the most part, they are just super curious and envious as their dogs at home probably don’t listen and are not trained at all lol They are probably thinking “Omg why are all these girls with dogs sitting on the floor like that?!” “Ew!! There is gonna be dog hair all over all the merchandise” “OMG my allergies!!! How dare them bring those dogs in here!!!” “Kids, go over there and pet the dogs while I shop okay? Yeah, it’s totally fine, just go pet them!” (Ahhhhhhh) “Is that a HUSKY?!?!? OMG! I LOVEEEEE HUSKIES!!!! My best friends brothers roommate used to have one! But he’s dead now so.... *awkward silence*” “😱 OMG LOOK AT ALL THOSE CUTE DOGS IN THEIR BEAUTIFUL COSTUMES!!!!” (Yeah well... I see Max was sporting some cute ruffwears! And yes, I’ve been to Disney lots of times! It’s great, but HOTTTTT and super crowded, but a must go experience for everyone at least once.
While some of the people staring at you were definitely being disrespectful, other people just seemed kind of confused why you were sitting in a shop with dogs, because they didnt understand the context.
I'll be honest here. You're sitting in the middle of a store where people want to shop. You're going to get looks. Now to defend that dad with his son, it looked like he was teaching his son what was going on in that situation. How do I know what he was doing? Because I've done it with my daughter. I've stopped her to point out the situation and explain that those dogs are service dogs and they are helping their handlers cope with a situation. They are not to be touched, or talked to, but you can look. Now I get it, being stared at isn't very nice, but when most people walk around a corner and have to put on the brakes REALLY FAST or risk stepping on a dog or person, YEAH, THEY'RE GONNA STARE. At least they aren't harassing you or trying to pet the dogs. ETA: ALSO, a majority of those "STARES" you counted were just glances. You took them to a place where I GUARANTEE a majority of those people have NEVER SEEN a service dog in action. And your dogs are gorgeous. I stare at beautiful things.
A few of the people staring were just glancing at the dogs. I do the same whenever I see a dog somewhere but I just look at the dog and smile because dogs are great
I honestly think a lot of the people that stopped and seemed like they were staring was them actually reading the patches on the pups vests. I know that I'd be one that would read the patches but it looks like I'm staring on the other hand there were definitely people staring. But I love your videos and your pups are so adorable!
*Walks through store looking for souvenirs...sees section with stuffed animals/items I might want...stops when section has 4+ people and dogs sitting on floor in that area...observes...walks away...is secretly called rude for assessing a situation.* Grow up.
Yes staring is rude but you can’t judge I mean if you see a dog walking down a street your going to want to stare at the doggy cause they good pupper but people who stare at the owner is rude but some people might just want a picture of the dog yes that’s still technically rude but ITS A PUPPER yes it’s at work but still good boy
Remember the dogs are there to keep their handlers SAFE. Having pictures taken of them can not only invade their privacy but distract the dog. This, in turn can put the handlers at risk. No matter how cute the dog is pictures are not allowed unless you ask. There are so many other dogs out there you can pet, please leave the service dogs be! ♥️
Honey Mint I agree and that’s why the irony of this video cracks me up, they literally film hundreds of people with out asking AND post it on a very popular TH-cam channel.
Am I the only one that thought that the lady at @21:37 was cute? Like she read the vest and then politely asked questions that weren't intrusive or rude, she seemed to want knowledge and I think it's sweet she stopped, read and asked instead of what a lot of other people do
Domo _loves um ok why are you saying all of this. All I said was you shouldn’t look at service dogs because it can confuse and distract the dog. If they weren’t service dogs it would be different but you left out “service”.
I mean it seemed like some people were actually just curious how these service animal do their job the guys that were stare #10 just seemed interested in the cute dogs and seeing them “work” so to speak a lot of the older people though seem a little rude . I might sound like an ass I do glance at service dogs because it does warm my heart and I like dogs cx
Awwww. I used to do the same. Now I work w a service dog and I'm sometimes surprised when people apologize for noticing my dog. Not all handlers are uncomfortable with questions, just so u know. If someone smiles at you it may be fine to say hi or ask questions. 🙂

Don't forget calling her dog over from a short down stay and had her dog run in front of a person. I'd never put my dog in a down stay just to have him fet up in front of someone, not too hard to watch my surroundings.
To be fair y’all were sitting in the middle of a shopping spot. So I would look too tbh. Some people have allergies to dogs too so maybe they felt a little uncomfortable. I don’t believe they should stare, but you guys could’ve sat anywhere else tbh.
i feel like some people were just looking at the dogs bc dogs make thel happy? i always look at dogs bc they're cute but yeah most of the people really kept staring
I’m gonna be 100% honest. I was at six flags the other day and a kid had a service dog. I made the sweet doggy voice but when I did that I did not see the service dog vest. As soon as I saw it, I looked away and minded my own business. Staring is wrong. Glancing is okay. :) Respect the service dogs!! :D
please tell me this is a joke. You're sitting in the middle of the store, covered in dogs, and you're counting the number of stares? Then you call off your dogs to take a picture of them in their hats, and yell at people for also taking a picture? Please stop. This is embarrassing.
i mean, y’all are a big group that are together and sitting in the middle of the floor, what if someone was trying to get something but y’all were in the way of it OFCOURSE they’re gonna stare.
I am going to Florida in 3 years for a band trip to Disney, I hope that, if you visit when my class does, nobody states because that's rude, also, that old lady who was asking questions is awesome because she asked questions and honestly I love it. I like how she didn't just stare but wanted to know about them.
Only issue i had was that you put the hat on the dog then put it back on the shelf. You do know that some people are allergic to dogs and some don't like dogs so wouldn't want to purchase a hat that a dog has wore You want people to respect these working dogs then respect people.
people stare because its a place you don’t usually bring dogs too and to see a pack of service dogs around the park is cute, quite frankly every time i see a dog i stare because they’re to darn cute. i don’t think the stares were meant in a bad way.

No it's creepy, you try owning a sd and take it out one day and see how it feels to be the center of attention 24/7. 5 minute runs to the store turns into an hour long run to the store because we're stopped all the time and asked the same questions over and over. I don't want to be in some random persons camera role without my permission. Who the hell just takes a picture of someone and their medical equipment without asking permission first?
I know how you feel. I have heard too many horror stories about the parks to trust going there. They are nice to look at on tv, but that's also how I look at dangerous animals that want to eat my face...yeah, ignore the rant. Having a bit of a bad day.
I am stressed out 90% of the time while at Disney due to the crowds and people’s lack of respect. I can’t imagine bringing my sdit. One day I will, just to concur that fear, but all I can think of is my dog getting trampled! I got trampled while using a mobility scooter in there! So yeah...
When I drop to the floor and Titus assists me I often have people tell me “can you move?” “You’re blocking the way” like how hard is it to go to another isle for now until I can stand up. People are so rude and entitled. Good job handling the situation. Much love ❤️
Also keep in mind that people are reading what is on your dogs vest (which you want them to do) I found that out as I have a service dog myself and a lot of times I would think they are staring (which they still do don’t get me wrong) but most times they are reading what’s on her vest
Anybody else find it cool how all of them had a service animal. It’s so cute to see how service animals act with other service animals vs “service animals”😂
Omg can we just talk about how adorable all the dogs are? I mean look at the face of the golden retriever at 10:15 it's so cute! And I know it's hard to walk in disneyworld with a service dog because everyone looks at you like you're a attraction. I get a panic attack if I even think about that but you're so positive about it you helped me a lot!
Can people get service dogs bc of social anxiety or no? Bc I remember I had an anxiety attack and I was next to my dog and when I started to pet him it was like releasing stress and he helped a lot.

EXACTLY
I agree that a gathering of service dog teams would get attention. The dad may well be teaching his child about working dogs too (good on him!).
I would also point out that Lexie is taking video of people...which makes complaining about others doing so a bit one-sided. If the arguments is that handlers can film because it's a public space, so can anyone else.
@Vincent Ray I’m not sure why you linked that, it is not applicable at all for this.
@Vincent Ray Ahhh, my apologies I got mixed up with what you were commenting on. You are 100% correct. It can be a bit rude at times (having somebody just record and take pics of you) but is fully legal and allowed.
@Vincent Ray You should not take photos of someones owned and their own animal or anything without asking kindly
I guess the dad at 13:28 was explaining to his son what a service dog is
ya i bet the son was asking why do they have dogs at disney world:)

Can you really blame people for staring at a literal pack of service dogs? It’s not a normal sight
It's still rude. I'm not criticizing you, it's just that a glance would be okay. Don't just stare at them. It'll distract them from working.
Staring like they’re wild unicorns? Yeah, you can blame them. They’re dogs in vests, they aren’t foreign creatures. Carry on with your day.

To be honest I would be looking because I think service dogs are very important now taking pictures of them is another story but the staring in the glancing is nothing to be offended by
Especially if there’s a big group of y’all and you’re filming
I 100% agree that if they stood there for a few seconds but some people were there for quite a bit. People need to keep in mind that it is very rude to stare, no matter what your looking at. If there were 20 people in wheel chairs passing by you, yeah you would look, but you wouldn't stand there just baffled by the fact that there are 20 people in wheel chairs. People need to understand that there are so many different people in this world, people who if know your staring at them begin to feel uneasy and could go into a panic attack. You never know, so if you see something cool, don't stare for to long unless it's there for your entertainment, which they certainly where not.
I'd glance at them but not stare

@First Last take pics of children is though isn't it? some were very young as well
It's like their taking a picture of a wheel chair or oxygen tank. The dog is medical and psychiatric alert so she/he is basically her medical equipment
Is staring really THAT bad? I mean there are adorable dogs and I think as long as they respect boundaries then they shouldnt be getting filmed.
kateelisaxo you shouldn’t stare at service dogs for too long
@@stackofthwoksGacha why? I don't mean to be rude, just I want to know for the future because if a dog is super cute I am going to look at it. And in the video people would only look at it for like 3 seconds. I get when they filmed people who stared for more than three seconds, but I think the filming for people just walking by and looking was excessive and rude to those people :)
kateelisaxo it can cause extreme anxiety and panic for the handler. it can trigger some people’s PTSD or other mental illness. i’m autistic + PTSD and if crowds of people were staring at me i would start having an extreme panic attack. plus, it’s rude in general. you shouldn’t be watching people intently who are minding their own business. it’s weird.
kateelisaxo you wouldn’t stare at people with wheelchairs, you shouldn’t stare at service dogs who are working. they are working to aid with a disability, just like a wheelchair would for certain physical disabilities. it makes a spectacle of the service dog. it isn’t a free animal zoo for you to view, it’s an actual medical aid and they are on duty. staring could distract them and/or cause anxiety and panic to the handler. all in all it’s just really uncomfortable. plus people with service dogs don’t want to draw unwanted attention..they aren’t trying to be special. they need them for medical reasons. it shouldn’t be something people feel the need to stare at. i hope my comments make sense!

For the most part, they are just super curious and envious as their dogs at home probably don’t listen and are not trained at all lol
They are probably thinking
“Omg why are all these girls with dogs sitting on the floor like that?!”
“Ew!! There is gonna be dog hair all over all the merchandise”
“OMG my allergies!!! How dare them bring those dogs in here!!!”
“Kids, go over there and pet the dogs while I shop okay? Yeah, it’s totally fine, just go pet them!” (Ahhhhhhh)
“Is that a HUSKY?!?!? OMG! I LOVEEEEE HUSKIES!!!! My best friends brothers roommate used to have one! But he’s dead now so.... *awkward silence*”
“😱 OMG LOOK AT ALL THOSE CUTE DOGS IN THEIR BEAUTIFUL COSTUMES!!!!” (Yeah well... GEAR, but they don’t know that, 🙄🤭)
“Are they part of the Disney street productions?? Looks
Like they are about to start! Let’s get a good seat!! “
“Those poor dogs are probably so hot and don’t wanna be here, ughhhhh” (which couldn’t be more wrong, but they do seem to think/say that a lot lol)
Andddd the ever so popular... “OMG those dogs are so fucking cute I simply can’t contain myself!!!! I have to touch them!!!!!!”
LOL yeah... I get it!! All we can do is continue to educate the general public, one dope at a time 😂 jkjk they don’t know any better so I shouldn’t be mean.
Did y’all have a good time? It’s been so damn hot out lately! I want to get out and do some out door things bring it’s the summer and my son is out of school and my SDIT can totally use the experiences. I’m just so concerned with her feet getting burned on the hot pavement. I’m looking into buying some ruffwears for her so we shall see how it goes! What are your thoughts on dog boots? I see Max was sporting some cute ruffwears!
And yes, I’ve been to Disney lots of times! It’s great, but HOTTTTT and super crowded, but a must go experience for everyone at least once.
My daughter's SDiT wears ruffwear, and we're greatful for them. Not just for heat and cold, but there can be so much broken glass and used gum too.
While some of the people staring at you were definitely being disrespectful, other people just seemed kind of confused why you were sitting in a shop with dogs, because they didnt understand the context.
Be like "you want me to take a picture of you- oh wait you didn't ask me so why am I asking" *takes 50 pics in different elaborate angles*
I stare at beautiful things.
you shouldn't get mad at people for being curious. it is a strange thing to see a bunch of people and dogs just sitting on the floor in a store.
Yeah it is I think if they taught people at a young age in school they would def be better about it
A few of the people staring were just glancing at the dogs.
I think people stare because they're like: "Those dogs are so darn coot. I MUST LOOK AT THE FLOOF"
exactly people look at pretty dogs!
*Walks through store looking for souvenirs...sees section with stuffed animals/items I might want...stops when section has 4+ people and dogs sitting on floor in that area...observes...walks away...is secretly called rude for assessing a situation.* Grow up.
It's absurd how many people, not just kids... adults too, just stare at people with service dogs. XD
Yes staring is rude but you can’t judge I mean if you see a dog walking down a street your going to want to stare at the doggy cause they good pupper but people who stare at the owner is rude but some people might just want a picture of the dog yes that’s still technically rude but ITS A PUPPER yes it’s at work but still good boy
xxKermitDaFermitxx it is extremely rude to take someones picture without their permission.

It was very hard having my service dog in Disney mainly because EVERYONE wanted to pet her and when people did.. Well it wasn't a happy moment 😂
Only issue i had was that you put the hat on the dog then put it back on the shelf. You do know that some people are allergic to dogs and some don't like dogs so wouldn't want to purchase a hat that a dog has wore You want people to respect these working dogs then respect people.

No it's creepy, you try owning a sd and take it out one day and see how it feels to be the center of attention 24/7. 5 minute runs to the store turns into an hour long run to the store because we're stopped all the time and asked the same questions over and over.
You have to talk to your psychiatrist or doctor they can help you with that question
Sitting in a store
On the floor
Chilling with what five dogs
Go home and chill that
store is for shopping not sitting
1) that's Discrimination, they shouldn't have to go home because they have service dogs
2) I thought the public would not be so childish
Sitting in a store
on the floor
chilling with 7 SERVICE dogs
because they are having a medical episode
go home
Loved this video especially when the complication of people were staring was on, like hello have you never seen a dog before smh 🤣 love you guys & Max is so adorable. I hope to get my dog as trained as you have Dakota & Max. 💗
That is so sweet of you to let someone sit with you and to help her and to cheer her up.
I suffer from severe depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
I go every week to the cancer infusion center to get my infusion. I just met a therapeutic dog about 3 weeks ago. I did not realize how amazing they are and how much it truly helps.
