For me, Hot Toys has already knocked it out of the park with this Robocop's sculpt originally and Peter Weller's likeness, despite this figure being from Robocop 3. HT could've included a gun-holding hand instead of the articulated fingers, but you can get the gun to sit in his hand decently tight if you fidget and turn the thumb a bit.
The first version's huge miss was the paint job, but this one has *mostly* rectified it with the blue/purple hues all around as opposed to the chrome finish. Also, the chest piece is actually from Robocop 1, as the damage in Robocop 3 did not expose wires and looked very similar (if not the same) as Robocop 2's damaged chest piece when fighting RoboCain.
But all around, this figure is indeed magnificent, especially for those that missed the first release. I feel this Robocop figure is the definitive one on the market at the moment.

@@KCtoyreviews Thank you! The difference in both figures may not be astounding, but just the accentuated blue-ish hue on his overall armor is enough to make this Robocop the one to own.

I remember back when RC3 came out it wasn't available in the UK. So when I saw a guy selling the tapes at a local boot sale I nabbed it immediately. I was so disappointed and realised why they hadn't released it internationally.
I'm surprised they didn't make a new chest piece to hide the speaker holes as it was a feature on the first version. It's a bit lazy imo shows they literally busted out the old molds and just reproduced him. At least it means the original has a feature the new one doesn't I guess.

Great review! I have the original version of this figure from years ago and I just had to buy that flight pack as soon as I saw a loose one for sale. It fits perfectly...
The speaker in the chest is from the first version where it actually has sound and scenes from the movie playing from it via remote control. The die cast pistol is for the leg holster and the plastic one is for the figure to hold in poses for a long time. The leg opens quite easily. Go check the manual and other reviews for assistance.

@@KCtoyreviews No worries man, you are not dumb! lol I thought it didn't open as well on my original. They definitely engineered the hell out of that leg holster! The seams are nearly invisible. No one ever really mentions the sound feature on the original and even I've never tested or used it before. Keep up the great work on the reviews. Definitely enjoying the content.

You’re the odd man out because when Robocop put the jet pack on at the end was literally the best part of the movie and badass. Robocop 2 was badass…. So was lethal weapon 2, Another 48 hours, Die Hard 2, Predator 2. All great 1990 sequels.

Dawg, I realize this version doesn't introduce that feature, but it still totally deserved some coverage and love in this review, or at the very least an acknowledgement for the uninitiated, but you glossed over it. :)
