This is the third video, and I can say wholeheartedly that I love this series. I know this is the first outing and there are probably things you see that you're looking to improve/fix/adjust, but just know that this is a fantastic series and you should definitely continue to do this.
Love these videos 😁 Please make this a permanent series. Your precon upgrade videos are focused on helping the deck do what it wants to do, whereas this is a deep dive that shows way more options for a precon. 1000000% quality content.
Good video. I think the best format is to have one person go in blind and the co-host be aware of the interactions and rules so there won't be too many mistakes and the review is more than skin-deep. Even if this is meant to be a first impressions video, in depth analysis makes it useful past the precon release window.
You're correct! I just missed that at the time because well... we're all human. I knew that it didn't work with Vesuva just had Depths on my mind cause I just want an excuse to use my Coldsnap Marit Lage.
@xxSaberinyourheart The phrasing of "it enters the battlefield as a copy of ..." is specifically different from "it becomes a copy of" to allow for ETBs so: no, Copy Land would absolutely copy Dark Depths ETB and get the counters.
Just play it out of the box as a legacy 12post deck. Mulligan to get cloudpost or a way to find it, copy it, use mana to draw whole deck, make literally EVERYTHING. Insane deck out of the box, cant remember the last time a precon was able to generate 100 mana AND draw the whole deck with some consistency. And Drown in Dream IS a wincon in the deck. Managed to kill the whole table copying it with sunken ruins by turn ~10.
I personally am looking forward to this deck the most. It has a ton of good reprints in it, and it's rather easy to pivot into any type of lands matter deck. Good thoughts as always from the both of you.
I'm not very good in simic so when I saw the list, I was thinking of doing a cheeky hydra landfall theme but after hearing your thoughts on it, I better just sit tight and wait for your build haha
Copy land and vesuva can etb as dark depths but they keep the counters. thespian's stage is already on the board when it copies so it won't have the counters
and to note i can tell you why replication technique is in the deck because you will realize it said's "target permanent" so you can make copys of lands with it. also "Thespian's Stage" is a reprint thats another Dark Depths combo in the deck
Hi grazzet, I really hope you can make a deck about Jon irenicus . I've been wanting to build this deck, but the mana curve and consistency is weird. Can you help about this?
Hey Grazzet.. so if Omo puts an "Everything Counter" on Dark Depths.. does that mean all other lands with "Everything Counters" on them become Dark Depths.. ?? And if so, how many lands get sacc'd due to the legendary rule..? Ok, that's all.. thanks, Jason
Step 1: strip the landfall parts. Step 2: search EVERY obscure Lord in Simic for the deck. Step 3: the Lord-Lord deck is born. . . plus off land synergy as a back-up win-con.
Yes, yes it does. So sadly you can't have 2+ copies of Dark Depths in play is you were to copy it off of Thespian Stage for example - though you do get to pick which one you keep, so you can sac the orginal that still has ice counters on it to keep the Thespian Stage copy with no ice counters on it and instantly get your gigantic, indestructible, and evasive beatstick.
LIVE GRAZZET REACTION feat. LIVE CAPRAK REACTION Memes aside, amazing Simic as always! I mean Video. Day 1006 of waiting for the Simic face reveal- I mean Grazzet face reveal. Is there a commander you can describe as the most Simic of Simics that has ever Simic'd?
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the support as usual! Honestly, there are a LOT of contenders for the coveted title of "The MOST Simic Commander Who Ever Did Simic" but, if I had to pick 1.... I would say that Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait is likely my pick. Its ramps via additional land drops and it draws cards as we make our land drops - something which Simic is already very good it - so I think it encapsulates Simic's reputation of being a "All in on value" color combination very well.
Great video and please don’t get me wrong but you have close to no chemistry 😢 grazzet seams to be so negative towards pretty much everything his editor has to say about the cards which is, most of the time much more open minded than grazzets opinion. At least that’s the way I perceive it. Hope you two can figure that out. Unless you want it to be that way which is totally up to you two…
I appreciate the feedback. Honestly, the very different stances we have on cards is kind of what we were going for - since both he and I have very different opinions on evaluating cards. I personally feel it helps us have more engaging conversations instead of just the two of us agreeing on everything all the time.

24:20 Why wouldn't Dark Depths have the counters on it if Copy Land says "it ENTERS the battlefield as a copy of target land"?
Because Dark Depths gets the counters as it enters too, so it misses the trigger.
You're correct! I just missed that at the time because well... we're all human. I knew that it didn't work with Vesuva just had Depths on my mind cause I just want an excuse to use my Coldsnap Marit Lage.
@Kaprak10 That's absolutely fair! I was worried my Master Formed Anew deck wasn't working as intended lmao

This deck really has me tempted. I love new/different ways to play the game. Can’t wait to see your take on this one!
I have two landfall decks and the reprints in this one are juicy 😁😁
Fully agree with feedback that’s been given. This is a welcome addition to your video formats, please keep this series going :)

My favorite precon of the set! Can’t wait to see your reaction!
The thirteenth doctor, xolatoyac and clara oswald are gonna be fun includes.

You can't get back the desert you sacrifice to exile all graveyards, because it gets exiled.
LOVE this format
Been loving these videos. Can't wait for the goyf deck
This was the precon im most excited for, haven't sold my soul yet to play eldrazi

Cool series! Love it.
Can you use Arcane denial to counter your own spell on your opponents turn and in effect next turn draw 3 cards +1 on the draw phase?

Nice job!
Surprised yall didn’t discuss Nadu in the breakdown, great vid nonetheless!
More of these!!!!

Does the legendary rule apply for lands as well?

Just an FYI, Kap's with a K. :)
@@Kaprak10 ah, right, my bad. Was writing this at midnight, in my defense.
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the support as usual!

Aw dang it. I just lost the game at 6:20
