Hi Hoover - I normally wouldn't be into a corporate channel, but I do appreciate you putting this up. It's great. As you know, some people really, really enjoy the sound of a vacuum cleaner. Ever since I was a kid, it gave me chills. These days I have a TH-cam playlist of vacuum cleaner sounds that I put on before bed most nights. The sound gives me a lot of comfort, especially when I'm feeling anxious. For context, I"m a man in his 40s :) This is a great video because: 1) It's long 2) At no point does the vacuum stop or do you hear annoying clicking (such as when someone changes the setting of the vacuum). 3) It seems like the vacuum is picking up stuff, but there's not big, overly crunchy items that will distract me. Some people like that, but I don't. 3) The person is actually vacuuming a room while the camera/mic are in a fixed place, as opposed to just recording the sound of a vacuum cleaner that is just sitting there I'm going to add this to my playlist!

I will echo everything that Michael H said as our preferences seem to align. While not necessary for ASMR, some folks prefer the screen to go dark after a few minutes if they use these videos to fall asleep. Just a thought for future video ideas. Quality work on this one and the sound is deep as opposed to “whining” which works great with the forward/back oscillation.
I have a 5 month old and this is the ONLY thing that will calm her when she gets overwhelmed or like right now when she has a cold and is struggling more than usual. My husband thinks that if I ever saw this lady vacuuming in person I’d probably just run up to her and hug her.
These sounds always take me,back to my childhood, just getting out of the bath, with a,towel over me, sitting in my room and mum then hoovering. My whole body would shiver and I'd just lay there on the floor in a ball, with my towel as a cover, just so relaxed
I remember fondly the smell of the hoover bag when it was full of debris when it was time to swap the bag my mother would let me change it for her this was a big deal for a ten year old me I approached it like a surgeon who about to do an operation the nylon bag had a zip which you had to open first then you had to undo the bag which was full to the brim I would lay the bag on the kitchen table which had newspaper laid on it to catch the dust then it was time to fit the new bag once that was done my mum would let me check the fan belt to see if it too needed changing this was my favourite the belt was a small rubber ring which you had to fit in a figure of eight way then you would put the front plate back on zip up the nylon bag which dangled on a wire spring which hooked on to the metal arm of the hoover then it was time to switch it on job done those were the days 😂❤
This is my go to. Has been for a while. I sometimes see other hoovers but i always come back to you. Cannot believe this is actually a hoover erm hoover. We had one all through my childhood, and into my teens. Such a comforting sound.

What a wonderful sound reminds me of the hoover junior when I was around 5yrs old I am now a 53yr old grandad who is now going to put this to the test by having a little nap 💤
My first child, born in 2001, had frequent colic spells. One day, in line at the grocery, my baby kept crying, and a nice lady tapped me on the shoulder and asked if I had ran a vacuum to calm her down. When I got home, I turned on my Hoover Elite Supreme and BOOM! Asleep! I then made several audio tapes and used them in the car. (But here is where the story gets interesting). I taught 6th grade language arts, and we had to listen to a Shakespeare audio activity. I pressed the wrong play button (double cassette player), and the vacuum tape started playing. Embarrassed, I stopped the tape and was going to switch. But several of the students asked if I would let it play in the background; they said it was a great noise for the background. This set up a tradition for several years to come. I literally would have students to ask if I would play the vacuum tape, especially during quizzes and tests. To this day, I get former students, now parents themselves and using videos like this to soothe their babies, sharing stories of the class vacuum tape. I hope you realize that these videos are a great resource for sleeping, but also offices and classrooms!

That vacuum reminds me of the oreck cordless bag upright vacuum witch looks similar has a same battery platform (Hoover one pwr) and is both own by the same company (tti) the only difference is maybe a few different changes in look and a different color

Just found this - been an avid fan of vacuum asmr for a long time and so shocked to see that I haven't come across this sooner. The quality is a lot higher than most of the videos I've watched. If you do intend to do more ASMR videos (which I strongly suggest you do) I do have some feedback. 1. Consistency is key: breaks in the sound are distracting, and other sounds are distracting too. Some people like additional things like rain apparently in the background but I myself don't really see that as appealing. 2. Variation is also key: videos that record one vacuum sound and play it on repeat for 10 hours are not interesting, eventually your brain catches on to the pattern and will start mapping out what sounds go where, I want to zone out not freak out about patterns. 3. Many vacuums have different sounds, I tend to like ones with a little bit of a higher pitch, but also like lower ones like this for sleep. Becuase people seem to have a preference it's important not to mix them! Keep one sound per video 4. Spotify: start a Spotify channel for this, please! Most people have some sort of Spotify device in their house which would make sleeping a breeze with some nice Hoover asmr!
Same here! I remember once as a child getting moms Hoover out of the closet, turning it on, laying on the floor next to it letting the exaust air blow on me, and falling fast asleep. That was 60 years ago and is one of my most pleasant ingrained memories. Thank you Hoover!

Hey! Sorry for the delayed response here - hate to remove the movie magic, but this is edited 🙈 however, this vacuum comes with two batteries, so it can run up to an hour with both pretty easily!

Great question! It's because the brush roll is constantly rotating in one direction (forward), so when you pull against it with the machine to go backward, it'll make a different sound than pushing forward with it. Hopefully that made sense!

Just discovered this and I'm living. I would just love it if on any future videos please don't make it so bright. Best time for these videos is late evening and all the white can be harsh on our eyes! Keep up the great content!

Why the different sound backing up ?
Great question! It's because the brush roll is constantly rotating in one direction (forward), so when you pull against it with the machine to go backward, it'll make a different sound than pushing forward with it. Hopefully that made sense!
