i got to be good friends with jim and maury. his best songs were not what made him famous. almost 50 years and i miss them like yesterday. he also did some great songs with ingrid

Definitely one of his most underrated tracks.. "I'll catch a swig in Hell from Gunga Din."
I REMEMBER THIS POEM BY RUDYARD KIPLING FROM SCHOOL BUT NEVER KNEW CROCE RECORDED IT. REALLY ENJOYED IT
Also used sparingly in the 1939 film. Three oscar-winning actors - action, adventure and romance - and a bit (or 2) with an elephant. One of my faves :)

After watching Grant, McLaughlin, and Fairbanks - many times .. was surprised to hear Jim choose this great Kipling epitaph - to pour out a folk song - RIP, Jim.

Sounds great in mono,
It was on his first album. I don't think it was rereleased until it was on CD.
