I’m glad to hear both perspectives of the story. If there’s anything we can take away from this video is the acknowledgment that Roi was going through stuff and Alex didn’t know how to be the friend that Roi needed and this a common issue that almost every friendship runs to. These guys are humans and they made mistakes - like any human does. I’ve been watching wasabi since I was 14 and going through my own stuff. As a 27 year old, I now work as a elementary school counselor, and Alex’s saying: “If you’re not happy, you’re doing it wrong” stuck with me ever since then. I made a poster with that same saying and it’s in my office so my students can read it when they leave my office. The influence these guys left with us is so profound ☺️

These guys were legit one of the first youtubers i ever watched at a friends house in like year 8. By the end i was in tears. Look at us now, in our 30s, talking kids and reconciling broken relationships.

I remember being like 12 when they split and now I'm twenty and my inner pre-teen is screaming, crying and throwing up. I'm glad these two were able to revive their friendship, they vibe so well together. just finished binge watching every spicy fruit video yesterday (took me like three days but i did it) and I've never felt more whole in my life.

You know after Anthony came back to smosh the first thing i did was come to this channel to see if you both had the same realization, and to my suprise there was spicy fruit. What i realize is sometimes things need to get bad before they become great. Better and stronger together. Having a friend like that is something to cherish in life surround yourself with the people who shaped you, cause you only get that once.
I thought so too! Funny when you realize this video came after THAT video in Smosh Pit. Such a strange coincidence. When both Ian/Alex and Anthony/Roi opened up to each other, they were respectively going through the same things. And they both reunited.

The fact that they still think about each other all these years, truly mean that, as much as they hated how they were being treated by each other back then, their love for one another is stronger to over come that tough obstacles. Some of these topics they shared about each other really hit home for me, sometimes you and your friends has to grow apart for a bit to mature ourselves first to truly bring out each other potential ❤
This was really a crucial talk. For years there were speculations about why you guys split, who mistreated whom and in the end it came down to Roy entering a type of depression - a word that seems to be a taboo - and Alex not knowing how to deal with it, neither of them communicating. The fact that you're talking openly about this is also showing you've matured and learned to express your feelings, strengthening your relationship and becoming better versions of yourself. Congrats on the tremendous growth.

Exactly and Roi's mom saying pay for college yourself, bc Film Studies not being worth it... Yeah I'm 2023 Film Stuides is very worth it. Idk about 2006 with just TH-cam but now there are many social media jobs or even broadcasting coordinator jobs with video editing. And programming even fits into that. In 2006, videographaper was only known even though event planning was a paying good. Ppl still think a degree in CS, business are the only set paths in 2023. It's very clear that in 2023 employers value experience over a piece of paper. But it's so ironic that while Roi didn't need a degree in Film studies forTH-cam, he could get other great paying jobs with it now

Back then your break up actually affected me a lot, i used to watch you guys pretty much everyday you guys were such a big part of my childhood but then that video came out. As a kid i just couldn’t understand how this perfect duo could break up and couldn’t understand why. I remember crying about it too😂 Man that kid in me really needed this video. Its amazing and emotional listening to everything that went down and the emotions y’all felt, really feels like a reality check and honestly i feel complete now

11/25/2015 is a day to remember because it is the first time that I discovered you guys. Surprising to remember but I do. Seeing this video made me cry seeing the way you guys made us happy, it’s an amazing feeling. Now, you guys were apart for a long time and I started to miss you guys being together. I’m actually so happy to see this. I stayed and watched both of them when they were together and even after they had split and now they’re back together to become even more successful then ever. So proud of them and I do agree that communication is utmost important in any sort of relationship whether it’s family, friends, your coworkers, or your boss, your doctor even. It is the one skill that I think a lot of people have issues with (haha we all have skill issues). But like actually though, we humans are never perfect and so our communication are never perfect. All we can do is improve and improve on whatever skills and on ourselves as an individual.

Literally had me crying while watching the emotional parts. My best friend and I started watching y'all when the first Rolanda parody came out. We would do nothing but watch Wassabi Productions after school. When the split happened, I was freshly in college and had slowed down on watching, so I was confused and sad. But I kept up with the both of you on social media and I was SOOO happy the first time (and every time after) that you did videos together again. I am over the moon happy that you two have grown so much and have come back together with SpicyFruit. Y'all been such a blessing to myself and many other viewers with your videos and I am excited to get to see the next season.

I actually cried watching this. As sad as your parting was, it's so beautiful to see the pure regret that stems from years of missing out on a genuine brotherhood. As someone similar to Roi and who resorts to being passive aggressive in situations, especially to those I love most, I'm able to identify those feelings but don't understand them quite yet. This video is pushing me to seek help or dig deeper and help me resolve those issues. Alex, I know Roi needed to hear how highly you regarded him because watching your best friend flourish while you struggle can definitely cause permanent hardships. I'm so proud of how y'all matured and have never been a bigger fan of you two. You have two very huge hearts, personalities, and futures. Both so different, but neither less than the other in any regard and I love that in your current friendship, you both can finally see that now.

As a kid I used to watch all of the old Wasabi Productions videos like ones with Rolanda not knowing what had happened. Fast forward now I understand all that had happened while I was a clueless kid. But now to see you guys reunite makes me feel like a younger kid watching you guys but now understanding all the adult jokes and more. I just want to say thank you for my childhood and now making my teens way better watching Spicy Fruit.

Man, I used to watch you guys along with Smosh when I was way younger. 2023 is such an awesome year with people reuniting. You guys made my childhood the best ever.
