I am a born again and I know I have the spirit of God in me but am finding the part of speaking in unknown tongues kind of difficult. I've tried to no avail and I so much desire so it can help my prayer life. Is it that am not born again very well.
Hey @engo dooshima you are born again very well, it's just that the Holy Spirit has many spiritual gifts (1 Cor 12 - 14). And the Holy Spirit might have already granted you one or two or more but you are so focused on the gift of tongues that you fail to nurture the others. Read through 1 Corinthians 14 and understand that the gift of tongues is not compulsory and there are many more different gifts. Thanks for watching❤️
I know that I am born again but tongues speaking have been a bit difficult because I am always conscious that the contrary spirit do give tongues too. I have seen many powerful people of God operating in the power of the Holy Spirit without blasting tongues. Gifts of the Holy Ghost differs. Accept and operate in the ones you can manifest and ask the Holy Ghost to take over the rest.

I pray that the Holy Spirit enables me to clearly and simply explain His Word to you and that He opens your eyes of your spirit and give you a deeper understanding of His Word in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. John 6:48 onwards; The children of Israel prided so much in there ancestors/Fathers in the old testament and we see them asking for a sign even pointing out to Jesus that their fathers ate Bread from heaven (Read; Exodus 16 to get a clear understanding of the bread from heaven called manna) but Jesus knowing all things, He knew that the things/signs in old testament were actually a shadow of the things to come (Col 2:17), Christ Himself is the substance of everything writing in the Bible so HE tells them HE is the actual bread of life that comes from heaven what their fathers ate was a shadow no wonder they're all dead. Though Jesus uses Bread, flesh and blood as physical, (He gave these up on the cross for the sins of the world and in turn we receive the give of GOD i.e; The Holy Spirit and eternal life when we believe in HIM and what HE did for us. John 6:51(NKJV) If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” ) He is actually talking about spiritual things (Spiritual food and drink) and in verse 63 He openly reveals it to His disciples John 6:63(NKJV)63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. And Peter understood it in verse 68 John 6:68-69(NKJV)68 But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” The same way our physical bodies need food and water to grow and develop, our spirits also need spiritual food and drink and that is the THE WORD OF GOD and CHRIST IS THE WORD OF GOD.
