Hey Crafters, I'm still not feeling well, so for today's video let's just sit and crochet. As always, thanks for watching!! ~Jennie #crochet #variegatedyarn #crochetsquares
New member here 😊. Just came upon your video in my TH-cam feed. I love your squares made with butterfly and the 2 after especially 😍. I like them all but those 3 colors are my favorites. If I wasn't already making a camo blanket from Red Heart Super Saver for my great nephew, I would try catching up with your blanket. I have a granny square bedspread started that a friend gave me this past week, which I joined after hiding tails, and started some rounds on. But I pushed the pause button and continued on with the camouflage blanket 🤓. So I'll pick up the granny spread once done. Said friend also gave me 2 enormous bags of yarn cakes and skeins, so I'll be busy til I buy the farm lol
But that's the beauty of making squares! They can be worked on whenever and wherever. To give ourselves plenty of time we don't plan on stitching them together until November. Welcome to the channel!!
Hi Jenny. I’m so sorry about your mouth pain. I can relate. I have been crocheting exactly 50 years now and I’m really enjoying this series of squares. I do love blankets but I am finding that doing long rows gets heavy for me now since I am old and it’s also a little bit boring. These squares are never boring ! Thank you for taking the time to do this even when you’re not feeling too good. I hope you feel better soon.
I have been following your channel for a short while. I have started making patchwork squares. They are alittle bigger than yours 8x8. I have really been enjoying making the squares and they work up pretty quick. Can’t wait until I have an enough to make a blanket and start joining them together.
I remember using that color a long time ago. I really like some of those bright colors that they don't make anymore. It's a shame really because they are so pretty. Enjoying watching you make this
I’m a subscribed follower. I’ve finished my squares and am about to sew them together into a long vest. I love the squares. I love Arlo. I’m new here, but I think your channel is great.
Hi Jennie! Thank you for crocheting with us and telling us your method of doing the different squares! I’m sorry you are still dealing with that infection. I hope you can get that taken care of soon!
Good morning! I made my first variegated square last night. I am doubling variegated baby yarn and doing a 9 inch square in half double crochet. The first one is beautiful. I have a lot of yarn because I made about 250 hats for cancer patients before getting burned out. I will do a single crochet border on mine. I enjoy your videos and just wanted you to know that someone is watching. Have a wonderful day, and hope your teeth problems go away! Bye.
Sorry to hear you are not feeling very well with your teeth infections going on. I know how painful it can be. I just had a badly non restorable tooth that was extracted about a month ago. So I can relate to your horrible pain. I sure hope you get to feeling better soon. It makes me sad that you are in the pain you are in. You are quite a little trooper continuing to put videos out for your subscribers when you are in so much pain. It says a great deal about your character and integrity. You are an awesome person. Feel better soon. ❤❤❤
Sorry your not feeling well, hope you feel better soon. Oh I'm subscribed to your channel, and happy for it. Don't know about squares, it's the putting of them together I don't like. I might give it's a chance. Please don't be mad if I don't. Love your work.. I'm getting ready to do one of your patterns shortly.
I hope you start feeling better soon. I love all the squares you're making. I do have a question though when you make your two scrap squares. And then you go on to another skinny on and another and another, do you ever go back to one of the color of yarn that you had used previously and make more squares with it but the same blanket?
Yes?! Are you asking if I go back to a skein of yarn that I already made squares out of? Yes, I plan on using all of my variegated yarns to make squares until there is nothing left, it's just that I have so much yarn to pick from.
@@jennie-grannysquarepeg I am glad you are starting to feel better. Yes, I was asking if you will continue to make squares from colors you already used. Glad to see that you will. I know, I have lots too and I love the variety. But good to know you will be going back to colors. I will be now doing the same thing! It was fun watching you crochet. You and your channel are great!
Hi Jennie, I hope you get relief soon for your pain. I know its not fun to go through that. Thank you so much for crocheting for us today. The corner to corner is pretty, but i am not a fan to make them. Lol I am sticking to patchwork and granny squares. I am working on a baby blanket for a fellow worker and I want to finish up a blanket i am making for myself using half double crochet in the back loop only. I hope you enjoyed your nap and have a great evening! Your awesome Jennie!! ❤
@@jennie-grannysquarepeg You always help with your videos. I wish I could get in to corner to corner. Who knows ,maybe after I finish this blanket I'll try it! Thank you for showing all options. I can't wait to see yours completed!
Hi Jenny I love what you do, I'm knitting basket weave squares at the moment. If we wanted to send you a gift where do we send it please? Keep up your great work xxx love Joan (uk).
I wish we could talk while we sit here quietly together.😄😁 I am sitting here, tying a skein of yarn together, I have no idea how it got broken and it has been broken not cut. It doesn’t look or smell like a mouse has been at it so I don’t know what happened to it, but I’ve got lots and lots of knots.
Jen, Marcy eight I had to say goodbye to my tiny white Chihuahua of 18 years. I live alone, and we had just lost my amazing. I am 80 years old, and I feel that my heart has been broken.Finn Wayne only a little over 4 pounds when he died his normal weight was about 7 1/2 pounds. It broke my heart to watch him waste away. He was my baby. Totally spoiled, and love beyond measure. I am so sad.
I am so sorry for your loss. They are never just pets, they are family. I had 2 cats, Jake and Harvey, they died in 2019 and 2020, Jake was 15 years old and had cancer, Harvey was 12 years old and had a heart condition. I miss them both! My heart was so broken, I didn't think I could handle anymore cats but then Arlo and Bandit came into my life in 2020 and they both have helped me to heal.
I feel your pain when my Maltese Pom passed away on a pillow next to me. I had to go volunteer at SPCA to have contact with dogs. 3 months later I found my Bailey Kea Jack Russell Maltese at Humane Society, he mended my broken heart. Got him 2010 New Years eve at 2 yrs old. He's now 15 and still going strong like a puppy. They take care of us.
I've had a very rough week, the pain from my dental surgery was excruciating, I'm just now starting to feel better, thanks for asking. I have a whole playlist of videos for the patchwork square but more videos are coming soon.
Forgot to tell you, that I know a couple we just had a little girl, and they named her Harlow. My niece dated a boy named Harlow, but I have never heard used for a girl.
I love all your granny squares they're gorgeous
Thank you

Also, I haven’t ventured into cornet to corner crochet. I will be learning that next.

I have 50 squares done using a J hook. So they measure 4" square. Need to look for more different yarns. How many squares do you do in the same yarn?
I make squares until the yarn is all gone then go from there.
@@jennie-grannysquarepeg ok, I will keep on making. Mahalo means thank you in Hawaiian.

yes, but the infection is really bad so it's taking a few days before the antibiotic starts working
