It’s a good fold. Most of the time you won’t hit a set and when you do, it’s the bottom set in a high rake environment. There’s no guarantee that you will win a big pot, in fact you can lose a lot of big pots. And just getting raked to death even when you would win. It might be marginally winning call preflop but when it’s 5% uncapped rake it’s just -EV. You’d much rather have 77 and see a flop because then you can set over set people who try to take deuces multi-way. Plus these more middling pairs don’t actually rely purely on flopping a set (which may or may not be happy to actually play a big pot)

Hi very nice video .i want your advice i play nl5 6max reg and zoom 8 tables..in zoom after 130000 hands my win rate is 3.83bb.my biggest leak is that im lossing -50bb from big blind and only -3.26 from sb..I play same style LA in both formats and in reg tables from big blind im -24bb..In reg tables after 87000 hands my win rate is 13bb.Iam concidering to move up to nl10 in reg tables 6max and wait untill i fix my leak in big blind at zoom tables.Whats your opinion ?Thank you for your time and look forward for your answer .Panagiotis
That's really good from the SB, and actually not as bad as you think from the BB. Can't really say much else just from this. But you should probably at least take a shot at nl10 with a solid winrate and if it doesn't work out drop back down and regroup

Tipically, regular tables are better because you can table select. MMAsherdog once said in his webinar that it doesn't matter how good you are. All that matters is how much better you are than your opponents. And I can only agree!

If you're talking about the number next to the cards dealt, it's the random number generator which is used for close spots. For example if you know that you call 50% of a time and fold 50% of a time, then you use RNG whenever a number is bigger than 50 you call and when it's smaller then you fold :) hope this helps.

From personal experience, 5NL and 10NL are pretty much the same, you may see less cbets of pot size from the pre flop agressor but other then that, its all the same play the same

It's not NL100 but he plays with stacks showing number of Big Blinds and not cash amount. That is usefull feature especially if you play mixed limits so you don't get confused in bet sizes :)
23:43 you fold AQ in the SB, I understand that your strategy doesn't include a flatting range in SB. However, I think 3 betting and flatting can't have a worst EV than folding especially against a 2,2x open. I may be wrong and underestimate the rake impact.
All the serious solid regs from poor countries are grind hard for a livin' somehow on pokerstars! The most difficult mizery poker cash environment nl10 ,nl16, nl25 .Up to Nl50+ I never grind . A profit about 200-700$ per month is a greater than a salary of decent job of these poor countries.

Hi @John. We can agree it can be frustrating, especially when we play vs lot of crazy and unexpected plays. Another big problem is rake on sites which drops your winrate even more. But on the otherside with all of those crazy plays, people make very often huge missplays and leak a TON of money. You can do that on most boards but no every board, some boards are simply too coordinated to have 100% cbet strategy

Calling SB is horrible because of rake, 3bet fold is best. Calling certain hands in SB is ok when the pot is going multi-way

AQo is not 100% a 3bet in solver land I suppose, so it's fine to mix it in some folds, especially on a pool that people open too tight at UTG.
