We R Memory Keepers Printmaker - www.kqzyfj.com...
Setting up a Printmaker in May 2022, watching along, thank you so much for the video!
Hope you enjoy yours!
I purchased this to use on my nature journaling watercolor sketchbook. It is a bit of a challenge to set up (mainly because I was so excited to work with it and didn't read that it needed to be fully charged before you start pairing it).
Though I used a ruler to help guide the printer, I can see how the guide might be very helpful.
This printer uses HP printer technology.
It is wise to place a piece of paper to protect the rest of the page behind where you wish to print. When you press the button on the top of the printer to start the printing process, the printer can leave a bit of rainbow ink on the page. An easy solution, though, is to add a piece of copy paper to protect the page.
To make titles large enough, you will often need to print your title in sections. That isn't a huge problem because the light is spot-on as a guide.
Practice makes perfect but I'd suggest you print on a practice sheet before you print on your project to ensure you have the right font size.
I purchased my printer from eBay and it was $45 with free shipping. I also purchased replacement ink from an eBay seller.
You can print in various single colors or a rainbow of colors.
The ink is not waterproof, though it is water-resistant. If you are using it with watercolor, print last!
There are many lovely fonts but the word designs in the app can not be altered to make other titles (sadly). If there is a workaround for this, please share.
I hope you enjoy your printer as much as I'm enjoying mine.
Thanks for the tips!
Got mines today and I love it.
Have fun!
I haven't found anymore videos from you about this printer I am subscribed
Here ya go - th-cam.com/video/GE4emtZKJDQ/w-d-xo.html
I am curious to know how long the ink lasts
Me too!
I’ve heard it’s 1000 inches per color, 3000 inches overall.
Well that is almost tooo much cuteness in one place!! I have never seen this before..like making your own washi any way you like it! Thanks for sharing this , its really a fun little thing!
I totally agree!
I'm a gadget freak but hadn't felt the need for this but now I'm reconsidering 😋 Might have to check it out
It is so fun for sure. I am anxious to play with it and see what I can really get out of it. But, definitely super cute.
It appears that the black stripe on top also helps with placing so you know where it will print. The light is great! Definitely better than some of the other mini printers like this. Michaels carries both printer kit and replacement cartridges.
I agree...there is still room for improvement, but I think it is better than other similar printers.
I see it can print words horizontal on the ribbon but you print words vertically on the ribbon? Thanks for the video
It does not print vertically...that would be super cool!
Omg!! I just saw the accessories at Michael's last night!
It's such a cool little machine for sure!
I think elementary school teachers would find this very useful. It's like doing your own washi almost. Very cute and handy little thing.
Totally!
So much fun! Love this little white square!
Me too!!
Extremely helpful! Thank You
Glad it was helpfuL!
I bought the first version that came out and it was a disaster!!!! I sent it back and swore I'd never do that again. Now that I've seen your video demo-ing the newer version, I cannot believe how much WRMK improved on this little printer. I'm so glad. Your video just may change my mind in considering purchasing this one. I'll be watching more of your videos on this cute little thing. Looks like fun. Thanks for sharing! ; )
WRMK is definitely known for rushing tools out when they are not quite ready, so I am not shocked that the first version was not great. I am hoping that they have ironed out some of the kinks with this one.
Wow technology is amazing
Cool, right?!? It's a fun little machine!
Looks interesting. Aparrently it is not availabkel in Australia until next year. I can see some really cool uses for this
Darn! Sorry it isn't available quite yet. It is pretty cool with lots of possibilities!
Thank you for the demo. I just got mine but have not opened it yet. Will try it out on the weekend when I have time.
Hope you enjoy it!
I tried so hard to get this to work but sadly it wouldn’t so had to send it back. Would not open any of the free designs. It’s cute and a great looking printer so sad I couldn’t get it to work.
Sorry to hear that
Very cool tool. Lots of fun uses. I will be interested in your full review. Blessings Elisa
Worked on the full review today! There are definitely some kinks that WRMK still needs to work out, but this is going to be a useful tool.
So you have to put it back on the charger after every time you print something?
No, it stays charged just like a cell phone. I just choose to re-dock it between printing.
I have this, and I am having a hard time with it. I click on when it is green and it only sometimes will kind of work. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Any tips that I am not doing? Should I hold the green button for longer, like a certain amount of time?
I don't think there is a specific amount of time...truthfully, I have not used mine in forever. If it is not working, I would definitely reach out to the company!
Cool! Would love to see more of how you use this and final thoughts you have on this printer. Thanks!
Thanks! Will be sharing more in the next week or so!
I would love to make washable baby bottle labels with this. How water resistant is the ink? Or do you have an idea to make the ink waterproof?
I'll have to think through the waterproofing....
HOW LONG DOES THE INK LAST, AND HOW MANY PRINTS COULD YOU GET OUT OF ONE CARTRIDGE I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW..
I haven't run out yet, but I don't use it very often. I think it lasts a pretty long time, but I don't know an exact number of prints.
I like it so far
I would love to see on material and wood and what to protect it with as a sealer
I did a picture ,address so far.
I did not see link for the other video? U mentioned
I would like to find ink cartridges cheaper?
The other video will be coming soon!
How much was some of the clipart subscriptions?
$29.99 for the year!
WOW! this is cool for bullet journaling!
It would be GREAT for bullet journaling.
Can we add our small business logos or images to the printmaker and create stickers or just the images that come with the printer?
You can totally upload your own logo!
Thanks for your info and tips! I received mine a few days ago and unboxed everything and it’s all lined up on my bar, just on display, waiting! 😂 I think I am now motivated, at least to go put the ink cartridge in and charge it up! (PS. There came a gray spongy type thing to hold the white strips to clean the cartridge.)
Haha, yup, found that spongy thing afterward! That's what I get for recording my initial unboxing 😂
Does it print pictures from your camera roll on your phone ?
I believe it does, but they would be tiny! I will try that in my next video!
Yes please try a photo. Thank you.
I would like to see how you would do multiple lines
Sure thing!
So cute! Thanks for sharing the unboxing.
You are very welcome!
Just bought this and thanks for the help! I'm a dinosaur and need all kinds of help. Will stay "tuned in"
Hope you enjoy it! Next video coming soon!
This is ADORABLE!! I LOVE how it Chirps. You should use your Cricut to give it a Cute Little Robot Face to match its “Chirpy” personality. 😂
How adorable would that be?!?!?
@@ScrappyWife Right? You could even make it into a cute little bug - a Rainbow bug LOL!
It sounds like R2D2
I have the little cricket on Mulan in my head when I heard it chirp.
@@Marqaisa Oh Yeah!! That would be super cute on it too!!
I would like to see how it prints in a notebook, like the composition book you have on the desk.
👍🏻
Can it print on clear sticker paper as well?
I think it should print just fine on clear sticker paper. I will definitely be giving that a try.
I bought one today
Nice!!
Does it only print templates or can you print an original design?
You can print an original design as well.
I mine should be here tomorrow. Can't wait to try it out
Hope you like it!
And just like that I never have to worry about lining up sentiment strip stamps and I can totally personalize my cards and scrapbook pages. Charge it!!!
Right?!? Isn't it so cool!
Thanks for this video. I'm looking forward to your comprehensive video. I purchased it from HSN too and have unboxed and tried it once.
There is definitely a learning curve, but I think it is going to be a really useful tool to have for sure.
I just ordered mine from hsn the other day and it comes tomorrow! So excited to try it out!
Nice!!!
I just bought the printer and it comes with the code but I put it in to redeem but it won't redeem it, Could it be that it must be totally charged?
I would contact the company. I know there were some issues with the codes when they were first released.
Has anyone had issues with cyan not working? I returned mine and my new one printed something in cyan once and now it won’t do it again, I have tried cleaning it tried a new ink cartridge and it’s still not working 😢
Sorry, I don't have any feedback on this!
I love it. You give great directions.
Thanks Judy!
Thanks for sharing
You are welcome!
Can you make custom designs or only use theirs?
You can make custom designs and import them in.
Hi, what's the largest size it can print? Tfs.
I will cover that in my next video for sure!
Could you tell me if it works with iPad?
Yes, it does.
Hoping to see how it works to make washi tape, I would get a lot of use out of making my own designs for projects I think.
For sure!
Thanks for sharing! I just saw this in Michael’s but I like to do my research before purchasing! Your video helped!
Glad it helped!
I used it to address an envelope, but was getting a line at the end. Not sure what I was doing to cause that, haven't had more time to troubleshoot, let us know if that happens to you. The guides make it super easy to line up on the envelope and center!
That has happened to me a couple of times, and I am not totally sure why either. I will keep playing to see if I can figure out why.
Thanks for this video! Do you know what the max height is of the printer?
I will cover all those details in my future video!
That's definitely different. Haven't heard of it yet but thanks for sharing. I don't need anymore tools though
It is pretty cool. I can't wait to work with it some more to see what it can do.
Excited to see your unboxing! I'd seen this in an e-mail I got from Michaels and wondered how it would work :)
It seems pretty cool for sure.
So since this is hp ink I am going to assume that you can sign up for instant ink. perhaps that would help with the price
That would be awesome for sure!
cool! looking forward to your next episode😄thank you!
You are welcome!
I just received mine from HSN. Your video is taking away my fear of learning to use it! Thanks!
Go for it! Wasn't the absolute easiest thing ever to set up, but definitely learnable.
I love it and I thought your tutorial was so informative.
Thanks!
Does this works on cotton material? T-shirts?
It does, but I am not sure how permanent it would be after washing.
@@ScrappyWife thank you! Do you know what I could use to seal the ink on the fabric?
Would like to try this on a shirt to see how this looks. Thanks
Oh, Good question... I do sometime put cloth on scrapbook um I am all big eyes, ha because I am deaf all my life, lol...
It will work on material, but it is not permanent if washed like on a t-shirt.
I really like your tutorial video! I would like to see how you printed your name because I am interested in using this printer to make personal cards.
Thank you! Will do!
How much ink is used in each print?
Probably depends on the color - I am also interested to know how long the cartridge lasts.
What cartridge number is it? Cost? Where can we get cartridges?
It's a unbranded HP standard inkjet cartridge which go for about $40.
@@SpotterShelly thank you. You can get at Michaels than?
Cute! I’d love to see what it does on ribbon you own and not the ones they want you to buy. Really curious how long that cartridge will last, it’s pretty small.
Yes! I am going to head out and get some different ribbon types so we can see how it works.
Is the strip that small??
Yup, it is meant to be on a small scale.
Wonder how this compares to some off brand ones on aliexpress that have been around for a while. I'm guessing we're paying for the clip arts on this. The chinese ones are mainly used for labeling crates and stuff so I never bought it.
Some of the graphics are free, but yes, there are some available for purchase. I think the graphics definitely set this one apart.
Help
Mine won't print anything apart from "create inspire", 😢
Sorry, I don't work for the company - definitely contact customer support!
Have you found a source for replacement ink cartridges? I don’t see them anywhere, unless it can use one of the regular HP printer inks, if so what number???? Thanks
Michael's craft store, and use the store coupon
Yup, Michaels stores are the best source.
I really wanted one after I saw these available. I saw you can use it to date your planner and thought that was cool. Maybe something like that you could try or in memory keeping!
That's a great idea!
Is the ink water reactive?
Not that I know of, but I haven't gotten it wet yet.
Haven't tried mine yet but bought it to personalize my event welcome bags. Could you show how to do the text? Also, can these strips be made larger size? i saw Beth demo a baby onesie printed with text and the text appeared to be proportional to the size of the onesie
You do have a limit to the size of the text, but can do multiple lines if you line it up correctly.
How does this compare to the cricut joy?
The cricut joy is for cutting things out and this is for printing, so they would serve very different functions.
@@ScrappyWife cricut joy has writeable function as well . I make cards with it.
Yup! This definitely functions as a printer with the capability of printing more graphics.
This is a fun toy!
Isn't it thought?!?
I would love to see the print on fabric like a pouch and canvas.
I will definitely cover that in my next video!
I have been playing with mine and loving it. Would love to see how you would make an address on an envelope that would be large. Maybe multiple lines? Thanks for sharing.
Maybe so! I am definitely interested in the addressing of envelopes as well.
Can you buy HP ink for this
Yes on Michael website
I do not think it is currently part of the HP instant ink program.
Love this! Would love to know how big it prints.
I'll include some more specific details in the next video!
looks like washi tape, but only one width. Would be nice if it could print 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch, full inch. But print head area looks fixed size
My app hasn't been able to discover the printer 😞
Ugh, I am so sorry. That stinks.
How, I just subscribed to you, but I have been watching for a long time. I love my printmaker. Thanks for showing me the teachers images. I must try them.
Thanks for subbing! Glad those images will be useful for you!
I bought this butI haven't used it yet. Looking forward to your review . Thanks so much Kristi, new subscriber
Welcome! Thanks for watching!
What kind of screen saver do you use on your iPad?
Screen protector? It is one that is meant to make it feel more like paper when I am using my Apple Pencil. I'll have to look it up and see if I can find the name somewhere.
That is so cute. I like this.
Isn't it though?!?
PS: This is an HP product and HP has an INK PROGRAM where for a monthly fee they will send you the ink before you run out and they will Recycle the ink cartridge when you mail it back.
But…..does this purchase qualify for this specific ink?
Did you look that up on HP Instant Ink? I can’t find it listed.
I am not totally sure that this ink will qualify for that program, but that would be awesome!
I looked to, theres no replacement for it yet..and if ya think about it, the free ink comes with sheet counts ran..could get mighty costly
This is cool…. I was watching the michaels video about it yesterday.
It is pretty neat. I am looking forward to working with it a bit more.
Where is the Michael's video?
So stinkin' adorable!
I think so too!
Wow, looks like it would be great/ What type of HP cartridge # does it use. where do you buy?
You buy the HP ink cartridge from WRMK or Michaels. Not currently available as part of the instant ink program.
Can the printer print any bigger images than the strips and text you printed in your test?
It does have a height limit. I will experiment a little more in the next week and include that in my next video.
Does the ink smudge easily or run if it gets wet? I make personalized banners and was thinking about getting this to also personalize the ribbon but I wouldn't want something to happen to the design on the ribbon during shipping and ruin the whole banner. Also, can you upload your own images such as a logo?
Yes to uploading your own images! The ink is basically the same as an inkjet printer. So, if you are printing onto a porous surface, you should be fine.
Wow this is awesome 🤩
Isn't is so fun! I'm loving it so far.
Very interested in your review since HSN has so many bad reviews.
I am definitely looking forward to working with it more. My first impression is that it is not exactly user friendly, but I think you can get better at it once you work with it more.
Yeah Rebecca I saw that too & so many sent it back.
Also, how wide can this print? It looks to be less than an inch in your demo. Can it print wider?
All of that is covered in my full review video!
Do you know where i can purchase extra ink and how much it is?
You can buy the ink cartridges at Michaels I believe.
@@ScrappyWife thank you. I ordered mine and all the accessories 😍
I got the colop e-mark and kind of disappointed. I don't want to disappoint again.
I get that - from everything I have heard this is a big upgrade.
I ordered this from HSN too, when it was the Today’s Special, plus a bag to carry/store it in. I wasn’t able to enter the coupon code for a years worth of subscription that was included. Did you have that issue too?
It did work for me after all, but I got a notification that there might be issues. Hopefully they are working it out!
I wasn’t able to enter my code either. Please share if you figure that out.
Try entering in lower case instead of all caps. It worked for me.
Wow that's awesome!!
I am loving it!
Wow! Thanks for sharing this. I think I need one now 🤪
Haha, it is super cute for sure!
The link you post doesn't work ! I'll go check on amazon
Worked for me! I don't think it is available on Amazon yet.
What is the height of the print canvas. I know that the length is basically infinite, and I know you can print letters and numbers of any height if you position them vertically, but what is the maximum horizontal height of the canvas?
The height is just over .5"
@@ScrappyWife Yay! Thank you so much! 💖
Hi, I enjoyed your video. I do have some questions. I have not bought this yet because I want to use it in Bible Journaling and scrapbooking. Will it bleed through terribly in my Bible? Watching the HSN videos I was led to believe that you could print more than one line. I will want to print three or four lines. I did d/l the app on my computer but if I hit the return key it will not let me go to the next line. I did try to type the second line and it has to be done separately. This is a hassle. I am sure they could fix this problem in the software. I really think that this is a great tool for some but so far it doesn't meet my needs. I so wanted it to. I await your next video. Thanks again
There is still some development that needs to happen for sure. Covering all this in my next video, coming up soon!
Is the ink that is uses permanent, i.e. washable?
I don't believe so, but I do think there is a way to preserve the ink on fabric. I will look into it!
