Something I used to do with my kids when they were little was I would have the character sign the book and then I would take a snapshot from that same moment and put them all together. We would end up having different books for each trip and now looking back on them it's a great Keepsake to have! Bill
Last time I went to Disney with some friends, I made us all personalized autograph books. We were there for 10 days, doing lots of character meals and planned on a ton of meet and greets. I made pages for every character you could possibly meet and so many were so surprised. Merida said she had never been in a special autograph book before and even took a picture of her posing with it by herself and another with us. Sarge loved it so much that he stole my autograph book and started showing it to other people in Pixar Place. I followed him for about 5 mins before he gave it back haha. At all the character meals we did, the characters were so excited. Because what I did was for Chef Mickey’s, I did all the characters with chef hats, and Ohana, they had Hawaiian leis on, and so on. Next trip I really want Rapunzel and Flynn Rider to sign a frying pan! And Ariel and Eric to sign a dinglehopper. I also want to get the Disney Character Encyclopedia and have them sign their page in the book.
I love this video! This gives some great ideas. I love the postcard idea. It would be cool to get Mickey to sign a postcard to send to my sponsored child in Thailand! I also like how you stand up for the characters. I saw some people on the internet get mad because Mickey wouldn't sign their kids arm cast, but I totally understand why Mickey couldn't sign a cast. There is too much possibility of further injuring the child and the liability of touching a broken appendage is huugggeee!!
On my Disney Halloween cruise last October I had the characters sign inside a copy of the book called The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury. The Halloween tree that's in Disneyland, and also in the ship's atrium for the Halloween cruises, is inspired by Ray Bradbury's book.
DarktrooperDalek I wondered how they got it in also! My husband works security and when I asked him about it, he said it happens a lot! I'm surprised they don't consider it a weapon lol
Thanks Sir Willow. I have a person that I work with that has never received a postcard in the mail. She was excited about just the idea of getting one. So I plan on mailing her a postcard when on my Disney trip. After watching your video I have been inspired to no only send the postcard but to also have it autographed. So thanks for the extra pixie dust I'm sure she will love it.
I remember when I went my sister and I were getting autographs from woody and jessie and woody wanted my sister to speed his name, she spelled it like w-o-d once when the she forgot the second o he smacked the book to the ground, we were laughing so hard
My wife and I recently took our boys to Disneyland Paris and had a fantastic time, especially as they have the "Summer of Superheroes" at the minute. As a massive comic and superhero fan, I had bought a Marvel baseball cap on the first day in the park. We had their superhero meal booked (where you get taken to meet two out of Captain America, Thor and Black Widow). I had to get if signed. Thor happily obliged but Black Widow unfortunately didn't get to it. After we had finished our meal, we walked past where the meet and greet was taking place with Captain America and Black Widkw there... and there was one family having their moment with no one else waiting. I took this opportunity to ask the character attendant if I could quickly get Black Widow and Captain America to sign my hat. I think they realised just how much it meant to me and said yes. They even gave me my own little experience with them :)
I love the picture frame idea, and Disney makes so many posters that look like fine art you can't go wrong, I just love the color palette of the one you showed! I really love the lquilt idea too, I want to make one with old band t-shirts. (wonder what the Carpetbagger thinks about the quilt, lol)
for my 16th birthday I took a pillow case that I had customized and had the characters sign that! I even got an awesome shot with Mickey and Minnie (my profile pic)
I actually have a VERY similar story! Ok! If you don't know, I'm a HUGE Barney fan to the core! Lol! So, I went to go see him at the Bronx Zoo on my 18th birthday! He signed my autograph book wishing me a Happy Birthday! And when I got to see him the 2nd time that same day, he also signed my birthday shirt (while I was wearing it)! That made two amazing birthday gifts! Not only that! But 2 years ago, I went to visit an internet friend of mine in Canada & we went to go see Barney together! We saw his show & we had a personal meet & greet with him! Taking pictures, talking to Barney & telling him how much we LOVE him! I also asked Barney to sign my VHS tape I had! Not only did he sign his name, but he also wrote: "Thank You For Coming To See Me Today! I Love You! Barney"! That one magical moment I've had with Barney! Not just with Barney, but one of my friends & I went to Sesame Place in April of 2015 & both of us met Elmo! He signed our books & he signed our Elmo hats! And, that was one awesome collectors item! I'm NEVER gonna trade those items for anything! I'm also gonna do the same IF we ever do go back to Disney! Because, I LOVE character autographs!
Great ideas for unique keepsakes for a family trip to Disney. As an aside, might I suggest using the verbiage "all my patrons" instead of "the rest of may patrons" when thanking them? I think it just sounds better for some reason.
I really want to go back to Disney sometime soon because I have something I really want to get signed by some characters.Back in February,I got this book on Disney history for my birthday because I'm a big nerd who cares about that sort of thing. If I could get a character's autograph next to a paragraph of their film's history,I would probably geek out myself to death.
I remember my sister gave me a drawing of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and I got that signed for her. Also, a question, has anyone ever came up to a character (mostly Mickey and Friends) and had something Kingdom Hearts related that they were wearing?
I know I have told this story before but I'm gonna tell it again because it was a really neat thing me and my family did but when I was about 3 or 4 I got these Disney princess dolls in my Christmas stocking that my grandma got at the dollar tree for a dollar a piece. I carried those dolls everywhere. and when I was 7 me and my family went to Walt Disney World. So we took those 1 dollar dolls and got the Disney Princesses to sign the dolls. They all loved it! They were like "Oh my goodness its a mini me!" And when I went to get Jasmine, it wasn't just Jasmine there Aladdin was with her. When I pulled the Jasmine doll out. Not only did Jasmine love it, Aladdin did too! He looked at me and said "What know little me doll?" I was like sorry no. He was kinda jealous. It was awesome to go and get them to sign them. And did I mention dollar tree doesn't sell those dolls anymore? After we got them signed my mom made a shadow box and put them in it. I got so many offers for people to buy it but its just one of those things that you would never sell even if your life depended on it that was one of my favorite things to get the charcters to sign
I love what you did with your autograph book. I remember that video and I bet it is really neat for current cast members to meet former cast members! Will you be doing something similar for your trip in October?
More than likely not. We'll really have our schedule pretty crammed for time. I'm probably going to take the same book with me, just in case. But I don't know how many autographs we'll get
I can appreciate that. In our 2 prior trips to Disneyland my kids didn't wait in line for autographs because they wanted to experience the rides and shows. They did get several autographs, but many of them came from characters at Ariel's Grotto.
My daughter is saying she still wants autographs. We do have at least 2 character meals planned, but they are with characters that she already has in her book, so we'll see.
I still have my mini princess notebook with The characters autographs then I got to me when I went on the Disney cruise ship (specifically the Disney dream) and I loved it :) I also had a pillowcase (but I made a mistake of using it so it was all bled and ruined but that was my mistake oops lol 😂
I’ve never been able to get any autographs when I’m in the parks. I get star struck and a bit shy around them. That never happens when I’ve meet movie stars or bands. I guess being a fan of them for over forty years puts the Disney characters in a higher place for me. I know it seems silly, but it’s true.
Just curious, do the character actors have to learn how to sign as their character? Is there a particular signature style each character uses? Or do they just use their own style of signature?
Would characters sign a birthday card? I am going to be at Disney Land during my daughter's birthday (and she will be at home) and I was thinking of bringing a stack of birthday cards and having any characters I meet sign a card.
What about a sports team jersey? When I go to Disney I want to get a Roosters jersey signed by all the characters...Just because I’m a big fan of the team and want something 100% unique.
No guarantees on that one. company policy on that seems to change sometimes- sometimes it's ok, sometimes it's not. But never hurts to ask. And have a sharpie ready. :-)
I know this sounds weird but when I go back I was hoping to bring Goofy a Father's day card. My dad is gone and he's the best dad I know so I thought it would be sweet!
In your opinion would a character like Mickey be able to sign a Disney mug if I or one of his friends held the mug so the it wouldn't be slippery in his hands?
Blank index cards are great things for them to sign. We saw a lot of people that would have the characters sign cards, then take the photo, so they could put the cards under the photos in a scrap book later. Or keep the cards in a book or file system to keep track of. I did see a couple of guests with little file boxes they used to keep track of who they had and who they didn't.
i went to disney years ago and i got a stitch shirt for stitch soo sign i love stitch and they said he couldnt sign it it was off my body and ready and it had stitch on it and i was like uhhhh i was kinda upset about that and it wasnt nothing bad
No one was wearing it and they said Stitch couldn't sign it? That's really odd. I know policies change from time to time, but I wonder what the reasoning was.
i have no idea either i was just a normal stitch shirt i got from the store their after the stitch ride soo i just had him sign my autograph book instead
Something I used to do with my kids when they were little was I would have the character sign the book and then I would take a snapshot from that same moment and put them all together. Totally. If you look close at the thumbnail, that's actually what it is- my daughter getting one of the chipmunks to sign her book.
The quilt sounds really cool!
We always got tons of autographs when we went to Disney! Best part of our trip!
I have tons of lithographs they could sign. Only problem is most are huge.
I LOVE the quilt idea.

I like the new higher quality closing segment.
The quilting squares one is SO COOL!
You are so welcome, Sir Willow! I look forward to your videos.

My daughter's kindergarten class did an Aladdin play. I want to ask Aladdin and Jasmine to sign the DVD.
ReyJusuf that would be so cool

that's a great idea! I totally forgot to mention them signing books
5 years late but I'm actually bringing a book onto the cruise and was hoping to see some confirmation in this about that haha@@SirWillow
I saw a lady pull a cast iron pan out of a bag meeting Rapunzel... Uh isn't that heavy to carry around all day??
Patty 9778 you’d think. I don’t even know how they got that in! Creative though!
DarktrooperDalek I wondered how they got it in also! My husband works security and when I asked him about it, he said it happens a lot! I'm surprised they don't consider it a weapon lol
Haha! That's hilarious!
Patty 9778 lol yeah that would be super heavy but really cool to have her sign it
I've always wanted to do the quilt, but I just can't get organized to get it done before a trip!
Thanks Sir Willow. I have a person that I work with that has never received a postcard in the mail. She was excited about just the idea of getting one. Mickey, sign my mousetrap
just found this channel and im so glad I did! I plan to stay tuned for sure
This is a great video.
Excited for the live show tonight!!!!
me too!

I was in Alice In Wonderland Jr and would love to have Alice sign the poster for it.

I remember my sister gave me a drawing of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and I got that signed for her. Also, a question, has anyone ever came up to a character (mostly Mickey and Friends) and had something Kingdom Hearts related that they were wearing?
Kingdom Hearts wasn't really a big thing when I worked there. It's grown a bit over the years.
Oh, I see.

I love your videos sir willow
when i went to disney world when i was 6 i went to disney world and the character sighned my cast hell i still have the cast
I still have my mini princess notebook with The characters autographs then I got to me when I went on the Disney cruise ship (specifically the Disney dream) and I loved it :) I also had a pillowcase (but I made a mistake of using it so it was all bled and ruined but that was my mistake oops lol 😂

I got Mickey’s autograph on a postcard for a former coworker who loved Mickey Mouse. Last year in April.
What did I do on my last trip? I bought a pair of toon gloves, and the fab five (Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy) to sign them.
I did see the Mickey hands get signed a few times. :-)
Would you be able to get them to sign your Sir willow shirt if u wanted?
probably. :-)
I bought a large belle doll at the Disneyland store and had all the Disney princessess sign the box,
People do some weird stuff for sure!!
Just curious, do the character actors have to learn how to sign as their character? Is there a particular signature style each character uses? Or do they just use their own style of signature?
The characters autographs are definitely recognizable as their own and each characters is unique to themselves. :-)
So I guess they wouldn't sign a Universal shirt? Hehe
Would characters sign a birthday card? I am going to be at Disney Land during my daughter's birthday (and she will be at home) and I was thinking of bringing a stack of birthday cards and having any characters I meet sign a card.

When i went disney about 3 weeks ago I was in the line to meet Goofy and the boy in front of me had a hat with Goofy on it and characters signed it
I know this sounds weird but when I go back I was hoping to bring Goofy a Father's day card. My dad is gone and he's the best dad I know so I thought it would be sweet!
That is an awesome idea!! Be sure to explain it to him. Good chance you'll make him cry- in a good way. I really like that- so incredibly touching.
I'll be sure to tell him! Maybe even draw in it for him!
In your opinion would a character like Mickey be able to sign a Disney mug if I or one of his friends held the mug so the it wouldn't be slippery in his hands?
Probably. I've seen them sign mugs before, but it's always up to the character's discretion.
Is it allowed to ask them to sign in one index card each character?
I am just asking.
Blank index cards are great things for them to sign. Thank you@@SirWillowfor the information.
SirWillow, are they allowed to sign cds too?
@@kaykaysparkles8951 They can sign anything as long as it is not inappropriate or on your body.
Kayleigh Askew Ok, thanks 😊
i went to disney years ago and i got a stitch shirt for stitch soo sign i love stitch and they said he couldnt sign it it was off my body and ready and it had stitch on it and i was like uhhhh i was kinda upset about that and it wasnt nothing bad

Have you ever been to a theme park in Oklahoma?
Frontier City and Bells, both back in 2004
Oh I haven't heard of bells they must have torn it down or something
6:49 What is wrong with being a cheese-head? I am from Green Bay, Wi and I am proud to be a cheese-head.
lol sorry, no offense meant towards Wisconsinites. :-)
4:06 bottom line Disney isn't like M. A. Larson, They won't sign everything
SIGN MUH BAYBEH!!!! 😂😂😂
We saw someone try get a bra signed it made me sad why it’s disgusting Disney is magic no room for undwhere
well... about that
