    This is a masterful demo!
Not only does it show off ORCHESTRATOR in all its glory, it also demonstrates that ORCHESTRATOR (and OPUS ensembles) work best when the composer really understands mood, musical drama, orchestration, chord progressions, melody, etc.
    Terrific!

I just did a project where I was asked to put orchestral chords into a pop song in a trailer. Rather than loading a template and write each individual part, I just used Orchestrator and played the chords! Super quick and easy!

East West Please allow a MIDI DRAG & DROP in all DAWS, I recently bought Native Instruments Action Strings 2 and Pluigin Boutiques Scale 2 these products do what Orchestrator do whilst having the drag and drop option. This will actually elongate the life of Orchestra as routing the patterns to completely different EW instruments will stop Orchestrator from eventually sounding stock. You've got a TREMENDOUS product, don't be left behind. Please allow Midi drag n drop

About rendering individual midi tracks with East/West Hollywood Orchestrator using Cakewalk/Sonar. Here's my solution. Create a new midi track, then record the original chord track and Opus track to the new midi track. This creates a combined midi track with all notes/instruments. Then, [Process > RunCal > Split Channel to Tracks]. Alternately, Split Note to Tracks will separate all notes from every track in much the same way if you want to isolate individual notes instead.

Hi! Thanks for a great intro. I have both orchestrators, the hollywood and the hollywood fantasy. I have two simple questions.
    1. In logic, dropping the recorded loop on the DAW generates the individual tracks for each instrument. However, in logic it uses the stock instruments instead. Is this going to be solved?
    2. For the scores (rhythmic patterns) is there a way to apply a "hold" like effect as in other arpeggiators so as to get rid of the ugly stops during chord changes? I noticed when you changed chords you kept one finger on while you were changing. I am not a good KB player.

Is there a way to export/convert a recorded "ensemble" Orchestrator passage into individual separate instrument midi tracks? This would be useful to start with a complex Orchestrator section, but then be able to tweak individual lines/voicings for each instrument, play them using different libraries or adjust individual parts or transitions.

How do you send each instrument patch to the DAW in it's own DAW mixer track and piano roll, without loading up a separate instance of the Opus plugin? I'm using Opus in FL Studio and having to load up separate Opus instance for each instrument patch and articulation patches is eating up my PC's memory. I want to be able to load up everything in one Opus instance and then route each specific one to it's own mixer track and piano roll in FL. The only thing I can figure out is how to route MIDI CC to it's own MIDI plugin channel. This allows me to control the notes and CCs on individual piano rolls, but I'm not able to route the actual audio from the individual instrument patch to it's own mixer track in FL to take advantage of FL's mixer settings and effect plugins that I can load up within the DAW.

They sound phenomenal dont get me wrong and i would have lots of fun playing around with it but i dont see the use in actually working for film. Its very, very good for quick sketching but the works i did so far regarding film had to be flexible and quick, changing through multiple emotions within bars leaving no time for a preset. @EWQLTutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

It greatly depends on how you use them. In this sense, the Presets can essentially be seen as building blocks for generating inspiration / ideas, and with the Arranger Mode / MIDI editor, it can allow users to customize their own MIDI passages for all of the parts in one go. Using this to modify the presets allows for a great range of creativity in your compositions. There's a tutorial video timestamped for Arranger Mode / MIDI editor here if you'd like any more information on that - th-cam.com/video/SzlQ65mzKkI/w-d-xo.html

@@EWQLTutorials Thank you. For the record, I think the Opus orchestrator is a great piece of technology with lots of flexibility and options for creative exploration. My point was only concerning the orchestrator presets of particular scores. More specifically, IF many people start to use them, they would get recognizable and boring very quickly. I think most people realise this so I don't see a need to worry about such a scenario. I'm sure the score presets are still great for learning purposes.
