This is social history gold.1981 eh? 41 years ago ! I went to this Rock Festival in 1978, Quo headlined. Yup it certainly brought back memories. To all the snowflakes out there, this is how it really was back then. Look at 5.03 with the Police Sergeant smoking in the station, the millennials and woke brigade will have a heart attack looking at this!
@@WarrenCromartie2 I saw Quo there in 1978. it was £4.50 for the whole day. I remember Lindisfarne and The Motors also on the bill. Cant remember much about the other bands though!
All that rubbish on the floor... Though the Internet would have you believe that young people today are the first to have no respect/trash everything... "back in my day blah blah".
I was there. My first festival. I remember it being very peaceable
" Philip ! Shut up and don't tell them your name !"
Robert Plant complaining about Hells Angels
Magnum on fine form.
you're nicked squire..for possession of vegetable matter.!! Hilarious
Thanks for uploading this.

I hate to say it, but when it was pycadellic rock/jazz with bikers, it looked unique but the music fucking sucked!
What a waste of time pulling all these kids
I bet the festival was a lot cheaper then to get in there.
I'm sure when I went in 1987, it was about £13 a day. Got to see Alice Cooper & The Stranglers for that. Good days.
@Charlie@78 Like it is now, tories in charge, recession, awful music in the charts. Just no internet to spread the shit far and wide ;-)
It was about 5 quid for a day ticket back then.
