We would have had greatness. But instead, we got empty broken promises and constant delays. Doesn't help that the creative director of this project, Emile Morele, just died this year.
At this point i don't even care if its a prequel open world rpg (first game wasn't that different either) or sequel i just want to play it before i die but it's also unlikely that even the current concept will release someday.
@@luisfernandosilvaquintero Its funny, aside from the inclusion of RPG, beyond good and evil was originally a planetary open world game but of course their ambitious idea had to be scaled down greatly, and even more so after the director critized another open world game with water at the time. So I guess their ambition or lack of director got the better of them once again.
Double H and PeyJ chilling and having a couple drinks at the akuda bar would've been an awesome sight to see in Beyond Good & Evil 2. Sadly thatll never happen because BG&E 2 has been rewritten into a supposed prequel 😢
I don't know why BGE2 got rewritten into a prequel tbh. This seems like something that belonged in a direct sequel to the original BG&E. If that will ever happen, of course.
Nice that you documented the cutscenes of BG&E2 2008, but I would've like to see you guys post the clips of the original Snowy design for the Tintin movie tie-in, for those of you who don't know, the game was originally going to have an art style that resembles more closely to the original comics, but it was ditched to make it have a closer resemblance to the film.
Yeah, I don't think that worked in their favor if that ever was the case. Given the poor reception and sales of that game, and the fact Ubisoft has lost so much money recently they are looking at outside investors and even possibly selling the company as a whole does not paint a good picture.
@jakd.rabbit It wouldn't be surprising if after a cult buildup of 20 years, fans say fuck it and pull a sonic mania, developing BG&E2 themselves while Ubi gets caught holding their own bag. For a company so focused on cashing in (albeit bland and pretty bad) open-world franchise sequels, they can't seem to do it for the one game that initially wanted to be open-world and be a franchise with sequels.
@@danielpridemore3997 the fans were technically already involved. I forgot the name of the website (I think it was People Make Games or something, it's owned by actor Joseph Gordon Levitt), but there was a site partnered with Ubisoft on the most recent version back when it was announced that allowed fans to submit assets for use in the game like posters, textures, models, etc. that the community could then vote on as well as affect the direction of development via polls and posts. The point of the website is to be a development resource for indie developers looking for input on their next projects or to get help, not big companies like Ubisoft; but we've technically already assisted with Ubisoft's development and I even submitted some stuff and participated in polls (back before I got really busy working on my engineering degree) back near that time frame.
It's just drunk people gebberish with a "joke" at the end based on an idiom expression not worth the translation. - And then I see the kid (gamine so a girl), you know what I say to her? - No ? -I put the axle in front of the holes (the idiomatic joke part) he says "j'ai bien mis l'essieu en face des trous" that refere to an expression "Avoir les yeux en face des trou"" so the joke is : he replaced "les yeux" (the eyes) within the expression by "l'essieu" (axle) mechanical term
Such a shame BG&E 2 never materialized.
The first game was so amazing.

Such a shame we are getting space GTA prequel shit instead of this version of beyond good and evil 2

I dont mind the direction. Considering I want to live as my own character in the BGE2 universe but I don't even know if we are still going to get it
Dude, we're not getting shit.

Litrally everyone else loves it
Give us BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL 2!!!
Ah la vache, je sais pas ou t'a déniché ça mais bravo, punaise ça fait rêver pourtant, merci et bravo pour cette trouvaille 😱👏😁👌

BGE 2 PLEASE 😭😭😭😭😭😭
If we are to be somewhat hopeful
Maybe the star wars game ubi is making is the testing grounds for this game

Жаль что прототип убрали, и поменяли финальную версию...
C'est excellent!
WHAT
Do you think if the new remake is successful that could get a sequel and I heard has an epilogue
Anyone speak French to translate the convo they have?
It's just drunk people gebberish with a "joke" at the end based on an idiom expression not worth the translation.
- And then I see the kid (gamine so a girl), you know what I say to her?
- No ?

@@AkioJunichiroThanks for translating and explaining. Every now and then I randomly remember this and am curious what Pey'j was talking about.
It’s still being made
Not this version. They started over completely.
No, this project was scratched completely. They are working on a different game, set before the events of BG&E1
This bg2 prototype game can be downloaded?
Mdr 😂
