Just a thought Ara: if you partly fill a Zip lock with sand it makes a great weight for holding curved and odd shaped parts while the glue is setting. Nice work!
A cat tree would be lovely for Centauri. I really like the bench you made and the illusion of having two separated wardrobes for the captains jackets is just perfect. :}
Strip lights would look really cool along the floors in the dips and maybe along some of the edges in the room- I don't know if you can get them in miniature, but it would look so cool to have a glow.
Fiber optic strands, or the small tube equivalent, could probably create that effect. LEDs would be at one end, and the fiber or tube would direct the light along the path.
I wasn't 100% sold on the future/past captain story, but I get it now. I'm mesmerized by everything you do and have to keep reminding myself that it took you YEARS of doing this to get to this point. Your mastery shows, and I'm here for it!!
Thank you so much!! I am glad you are enjoying the project and my strange ideas are getting coming through! Sometimes I don't know if I make sense to anyone else besides myself lol!
I can't lie. Your channel is my absolute favorite, Ara. This project has been such an inspiration for me. I truly like everything you've done in this (and every) project. You have definitely started doing some things that are out of your and my, comfort zone and I think it's amazing.
I love that the interior of this space ship is cream colored. It’s more beautiful in this warm tone. I’ve never seen a spaceship interior this pretty color. I love it. Thank you for always sharing your goodie’s with us 💗
Is Centauri going to have access to the entire ship? Buttons make great food bowls. Loving it! You never disappoint Ara. I look so forward to your videos.
ah, it looks good! I love the 80's star trek tng/beige spaceship aesthetic. not having a facemask is also the reason my cats can't come to work with me lol
I love the name Centauri for the cat. It's perfect 🥰. I also like the idea of the crew on the ship not knowing that they're actually flying through space. I'm excited to hear the story that goes with the creation 💖
That table is really tops! I would've snatched it myself. The curves give me the spaceship feeling, too. I think it's from the old sci-fi movies I loved to watch so much. They turned out beautifully for you and the design of the doors is spaceshipy, also. I agree with the comment about a hat. Would you dare make a 17th century Captain's hat to match with that uniform? That would be so cool! The aging does give the room contrast, especially since it's subtle and not overdone. The air brush live stream would be really good. I've always wanted one so it be great to see your experiments. Centauri is the perfect name for our furry Captain's Guardian. Centauri might appreciate a scratching post and a nice, cozy bed. Btw, the one-earring look on you is perfect, too!
I would be so nervous to try and make a hat to meet the quality of the coat but it would be a fun attempt! I want to try some aging with the airbrush as well so I am super excited for that! Thank you Andrea!
I think having lights in the changing room will transform the space considerably. Since it's a space-age room, I would try to have indirect lighting if possible. I think adding some cushions and a cat bed would make it feel a bit more lived in as well.
Air brushing!!!! Yay!!!!! You've picked it up so quickly! I hope others will be motivated to give it a try!!! I hope people realize this is literally like the 2nd or 3rd thing you've ever air brushed with wonderful results and with a single action air brush where so many "experts" on the internet try to shove a double action down your throat. GREAT VIDEO!!!!!
I hope so too! The hardest part was getting over the fear of the unknown! I also learned how to clear a clog and that wasn't so bad. Nothing left to fear... only more techniques to learn!
This looks great! I love the Captain's name and the cat's name. They're perfect. Adding the chalk pastels brought out the details beautifully that might otherwise have faded into oblivion. The ship is hundreds of years old, after all. Boots and kitty stuff would be awesome additions. Toiletries might be cool, too, but I'd put them on the window bench in the 17th century section. The future plans are exciting and I can't wait to see it all come together. It's already starting to look cohesive. Thank you! I forgot about the paper towel sanding trick. That's helpful!
That's a great thought! I will have to balance the details between the interior and the exterior of the Captains Quarters area! I am so glad you liked the video!
Just a wee thought that Centauri could have recessed bowls for food and water… loving this project (and all the others too). Thank you for sharing your thoughts and inspiration! Stay well, warm and safe.. ❤️🏠❤️
Love watching you build! Always a pleasure. To finish off your roadside treasure base, might I suggest adding a table top that's the correct depth. Screw it down, router the edge to class it up a bit and then paint the entire thing so it looks like one piece.
That was such a cute excerpt with Stormy at the end! You have such great creativity. Even when you feel 'out of your comfort zone' you have wonderful problem solving skills! It looks great! Thank you for another awesome video. The project looks so good!
Awesome video! I suggest a shoe shine kit in the changing room, or maybe just some leather polish for both the coat and the boots. Lmao at the ending when you were trying to explain to Stormy that she doesn’t have safety equipment. She had clearly not read the osha regulations and does not have clearance for unsafe areas :( so sad.
A shoe shine kit is a great idea! I must have for every captain! She literally barks at me when I don't allow her into the room. It's for your safety silly! lol!
What a fantastic room! I really love the sloping ceilings! It DOES look very 80's and I love it. I am super excited to see the more sci fi aspects of this project. Heh. And I think we need an 1800s looking cat bed in the quarters.
This is going to be so fun to see it all unfold. Love the kitty addition. Perfect for a Captain Maggie. I can see Centauri sleeping quarters being added somewhere😊 Love the idea about the live stream. Hope you have a good weekend! Stormy is just full of energy❤
Ok, It's official. I'm obsessed with the Captain's Quarters/Ship! I was going to quietly grab a cup of coffee and watch just this video... turned into several cups of coffee and probably too much food and a full rewatch of the Captain's playlist. ⛵🚀 (Stormy looked so cute trying to 'help') So now I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for more. I love little Centauri but whilst I had imagined the Captain as female in my mind she was very different so that now I still picture my version (in my head only) every time I see anything ship related. I can't wait to see the next ship video and where this goes. 😁 Oh does Centauri need a helmet or at that scale a space friendly cat crate... I worry should there be a hull breach!
I am so glad you are enjoying the project!! I think everyone had their own vision of the Captain which is why I had someone else create her for me... I couldn't decide between all the wonderful suggestion and ideas for who the captain would be!

You might consider a "Teleport" device. Beam Me Up, Centauri! hehehe Keep up the great work! Greetings Maggie! Have a better day, my friend!
Ara, love this room, reminds me of Star Trek the next generation hallways, they were very tan and grey. would you like some sci-fi greblies? I have molds where I make a bunch of different things for my Star Trek dioramas. I could send you some to help decorate those other sections.
You really got a lot of detail into this little room. I am always amazed at the details you are able to get with layers of paper! I am really loving this series and watching how you figure things out.
I love all your projects, Ara! Seeing the fancy new base and considering the ship within a ship idea... I was imagining some kind of "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen," (1980s Terry Gilliam), Georges Méliès of Fantastic Planet mashup spaceship. Maybe your spaceship is a space schooner and has masts with solar sails for propelling it through space? And considering the base is long, perhaps the spaceship is constructed more horizontally than vertically? Anyway, SO COOL! I can't wait for the next installment!
Thank you!! You should def give it a try sometime ;) There are a lot of all in one kits out there now that help you not have to buy a lot of supplies to see if you like it.
You're so welcome!! I've gotten more inspiration from you and this channel than I've ever gotten from any other channel the whole time I've known about TH-cam. I'm currently getting ready to start a haunted house for my mom and all your Addams family house videos gave me the ideas and courage I needed so thank YOU so much!!!!
Oddly enough, I actually thought that the "trusses" looked even more spaceship-like than it did after you covered them over. Sort of a mid century modern star trek look.
Loving how cool your space ship is looking, I think the kitty needs bowls for food and water and a couple of toys to keep her out of trouble while the captain is working. And I think Boots and a belt would be good additions too and hair brush and comb so the captain can look her best, You got this Ara 😊👍🙏
I have probably "gushed" this before, but it is apparent that your imagination and creative talents have no bounds................ PS Cat Stuff? Capt. Maggie has a (rudimentary) toilet, so where is the space age litter box???? Possibly along with a boring, commercial bag of 20th century bag of fresh litter.............
I love the name of your cat. I rescued a mother cat and her kittens. Because one of them reminded my wife of Rygel from Farscape from behind - and because he was obsessed with food, we named the girl kitten Andromeda, and his two brothers Orion and Sirias. I know, Sirias is the dog star, but we were in a hurry to name them. We found new homes for the girl, the brothers and even the mother, who came with the name Sophie, but we kept Rygel because he helped us with our bottle baby, Oliver (the orphan.)
@@BentleyHouseMinis People would tell us we misspelled Rygel's name because the others were stars, but we knew the star was spelled Rigel, it is just we didn't name him after a star, but an alien...
Does Captain Maggie have a hat (in period) and perhaps a Wig? therefore possibly a hat stand or a wig stand in the changing area? I love how you got the changing area so pristine in shape, and then aged with use. Perfect.
The Dollhouse Bandages are a very good idea for strengthening the entire room structure. I am going to use this technique in the future, but I will have to use the term 'Diorama Bandages' or I will never hear the end of it from a certain someone who shall remain nameless. : ) Excellent paper towel/ultra fine sandpaper trick! I LOVE the way that you scrape the caulk pastels into the covered containers for storage. NICE! The aging of the room really sells the realism of the space (pun intended). The sci-fi door vibe is rocking and Centauri is cool. I LOVE it, Ara!
Lol Stormy needs a face mask! I imagine her thinking “mommy…you’re replacing me with that gosh darn noisy new blue puppy!!!” 😂 I love how well the kitty goes with the Captain! Just the way the two are sculpted and painted- they look like they belong in the same space. And this room turned out absolutely beautiful! Never be afraid to age spaces! You’re so good at it and it gives the project life. Another thing from the 80s we used to always say was “God made dirt and dirt don’t hurt!” Can’t tell you how many times I’d come home from school with dirt in my whiteish blonde hair- so it made it super noticeable- and when my mom would comment, that was my go to reply…😂😂🤣 a little dirt never hurts…
Haha I definitely remember that phrase from childhood as well!! I am so glad you like the cat companion and its good to hear they work together. Stormy has always been suspicious of the air compressor... it would be really funny to know what she actually thought of it lol!
U are absolutely the best part of TH-cam and my day to day life!!! I can’t express how much ur projects, imagination, and just sheer ability to be urself and make it feel like I’m actually spending time with a best friend, which I know we would absolutely be if we were ever to hang out in real life, so much so that u help me to forget that I no longer have any friends in my real life anymore, let alone the kind of joy and whimsy that I’m so thankful to see still lives in u as a reminder of who I once was and hope to get back for myself as a state of being. Not living where space or creativity is much afforded has stunted a lot of my imagination and creativity but thanks to u and ur fabulosity and beautiful heart and soul, uve caused those bits in me to keep smoldering and burning slow and steadfast so as not to allow themselves to go out completely!!! I love the kitties name for it’s name as is, and for the thoughtful way in which uv connected to the number of subscribers u’ve amassed!! All of whom and the many who’re still yet to come, are so far beyond lucky to have u to find and follow!!!!
Thank you so much Toby😊 I am so glad my videos can bring you joy and comfort when its needed! Please feel free to reach out anytime you need to talk (hugs)
Just a thought Ara: if you partly fill a Zip lock with sand it makes a great weight for holding curved and odd shaped parts while the glue is setting. Nice work!

You can easy take the fairy lights and cut the wire and then put them back together with less space between the lights.
Yes! I like this idea!
I like this idea too!
Fiber optic strands, or the small tube equivalent, could probably create that effect. LEDs would be at one end, and the fiber or tube would direct the light along the path.

Love it! As always! But it is VITAL that you add a space aged litter box for Centauri!
We will definitely have to make Centauri feel at home! ;)
Awesome!
I am loving it, well i realy am a fan of your work , i cant wait to see the futur project , :)
TOUJOURS intéressant ! Merci ! 😉
Perfect room!
Very nice futuristic room!! 💪 and good names :)
Thank you! 😊
You need a hat on the shelf! Perhaps a tricorn?
Love it 😍 Please add some kitty things too 🤗
Will do! Thank you April!
Have you ever thought of designing and building your own house some day? I feel like your house would be epic lol. 💚💚💚
I wouldn't even know where to start lol! Too many ideas already!😄
Love love love your videos!!!! Hugs from Montana
Fantastic, Ara!!
