@@robertschoelerman7496 pretty much. That, and they can’t bear to admit that Josh Allen is truly the best player in the league this year. They can’t even use the turnover prone line because he has been very smart.
All-22 review is definitely my favorite episode of anything every week. I am very glad that the Bills earned another one next week- let’s hope that it’s an optimistic one! I have lots of thoughts about the AFC Championship game. On the one hand, the Bills are in a solid spot. They ran the ball very well against the Ravens, who have a much better run defense than KC, one of if not the best in the league. They seemed to rely on it a bit too much at times, especially when the Ravens halftime adjustments kicked in to counter it, but all in all it was good. Defensively, the Bills were more physically dominant and aggressive than I knew they were capable of being, especially in the first half before they got tired. I think that in a lot of ways, this was a dry run of what a battle with KC will be. On the other hand, there are some concerns. Being the team that lost the first matchup, Kansas City has a bit of an advantage. It is very hard to beat a team twice in a season. They also have home field advantage, which is huge. Additionally, this past game was a physical brawl. The Bills had to play an incredibly tough game, and fought harder defensively than I have seen them play in a very long time. Kansas City has an extra day of rest, and a battle like this takes its toll. The Bills are a bit banged up too. I have said for a while that the Bills are a Super Bowl team, but they need to be perfectly healthy to get it done. They are on the healthier side, but have some key players banged up. They don’t have the depth of previous years to do it with backups at any level, so they’ll need to get healthy really quickly to take down KC. One thing that I find promising is that the Texans ran the ball all over Kansas City. The Bills are a better team than the Texans, and my hope is that everybody eats with Keon Coleman and Dalton Kincaid back, KC will be in a tough spot, having to choose between putting extra effort into stopping the run and covering all of the Bills weapons. Kansas City’s defense isn’t as good as they were last year, and the Bills offense is better. Kansas City always steps up and plays better against the Bills, and they have a really good offensive coach, defensive coach, and QB who will game plan well. I think it comes down to Superman Josh Allen and the Bills defense. If KC stops everyone from eating, or if the Bills defense is too banged up to make big plays, it’ll all come crashing down. However, I am the most confident I have ever been in this Bills team. Go kill em, boys!!!!!

Haven’t watched yet, but it’s not so surprising we are all wondering the same thing… It’s like at halftime of this game, Joe Brady forgot how they got to 13 wins and became the most balanced scoring offense in history and stream rolled the Broncos. They reverted back to an old timid/passive approach of protecting a lead and playing hyper-conservative. A win is a win, and I don’t care so much about the narrative around sports media and fans, but it’s still frustrating when people say that Lamar and the Ravens played an impressive second half and had a chance despite all the early mistakes. They sure did-and it’s more because Buffalo’s offense completely took their foot off the gas and primarily focused on running clock-less about the Ravens.
Edit after watching: My mind wasn’t changed much, other than excusing Brady on that one huge 3rd down screen that Josh checked into. And also adding that perhaps Bobby Babich and Coach McDermott can shoulder some responsibility for taking a similar approach on the second half defensive schemes. Oh, and more credit to how the Ravens adjusted and executed👌👌
I'm extremely happy with the lack of down field throws honestly. Any other season a cover 2/3 would destroy our offense and cause Allen to play careless. This game showed we can play gritty football. We've always known about the explosive capabilities of him, but safe and smart football is what will get us where we want to go.
I think Mac Hollins was wide open the first pass of this game, just like he was at least two other games and, just like those games, Josh missed him on the throw. If we get that early pass next week it will really help set the tone.
Outstanding breakdown, Joe! Thank you. We MUST lock up Spencer Brown long term! He’s become both a fan favorite and irreplaceable part of this CHAMPIONSHIP team!

Thanks for explaining things so well Joe. Why don’t the TV sportscasters understand football as well as you? Most of them said we didn’t play well and that Josh wasn’t very good.
I agree for the most part Joe. The argument that we needed to move the ball by passing downfield when that was what they took away, is one that is more likely to bring a turnover. But there was opportunity to do that in play action. That was working, and when we'd bring the defense forward for a moment then having them bail that transition seemed slow to me. The times we did try to pass downfield without doing play action were not very successful, and I wish they'd have done more play-action in those situations, but I don't question the W.

I honestly think that the Bills played to allow the Ravens easy acces to the score. Once Lamar hit the play rolling out, the clock became the big issue. Let them score, then load up on one play (conversion) to stop them. If they score we have olenty if time to get the fg. I thought, from a game mangement perpective it was next level

@lyn2839 yeah it was borderline, but I don't think OPI was a consideration on that at all. I looked at the replay again and Tre definitely locked his left arm down at the moment he lost his footing and Keon just basically freed up his hands once the ball came through. He honestly still could/should have caught it either way and could've walked in for the score in the process. If anything, that was a makeup call for the horrendous hold call on Dawkins on the drive after the Rapp INT. Should've been at least 24-10 at half until they knee capped them on what should've been 2nd and 3 and went to 2nd and 20 as a result.
Lamar and the ravens have been trying to prove something all year. Allen could have padded stats late in the year and was giving tds to cook instead. Josh is about winning lamar is trying to prove he's a winner a certain way.
We played a Ravens team that was missing their #1 wr, had 3 turnovers to our 0 and we still barely won by 2 points thanks to an Andrews drop. Yes a win is a win so we will take it but if you think we can play that poorly and beat KC at home you are delusional. The offense needs to step it up and the dline NEEDS to be able to generate pressure without blitzing
This KC team is not as good as the Baltimore team we just beat. Now they do have the refs in their back pocket and thats what worries me. They cant beat us straight up.
Wow negative Nancy! Ravens and Chiefs intirely different therefore game plan will be intirely different. Yes Buffalo will have to score more points. Defense will focus on wrs more.
Can we get elam instead of douglas? Douglas is arguably the worst corner in the NFL, he is giving up a passer rating of 112 when targeted in man coverage. The bills want to play more man coverage but can't because Douglas is ass.
@ Elam is literally our best graded man corner over the last three years. I'm not saying he's our best corner but he is literally our best corner when we play man and if we wanna play man more he needs to be our corner from here on out.
Credit to Hamlin, for sure. The man played his heart out, and made several crucial plays.

Phillips can only play well when he gets the chance to wear a winter coat during warmups. Dude is not right in the head. Go bills!
Love 69 on gap
Bills vs the Refs next game !!! If clay Martin refs the game it’s 💯 L for Buffalo !!!!
running Josh Allen up the middle on the 2.5 yrd line is becoming too predictable - change it up!! Fake hand off and pass.
What are tge odds that Micah hyde plays for rapp due to his hip injury,???!?!?! 😒 hmmmmmm
Your obviously reading this sponser shit verbatim. . So your really like it Bro? Or just paying the bills?
First ❤
Can we get elam instead of douglas? Douglas is arguably the worst corner in the NFL, he is giving up a passer rating of 112 when targeted in man coverage. The bills want to play more man coverage but can't because Douglas is ass.
Elam is no better. A new corner this off-season is needed. Elam has been here long enough.
@ Elam is literally our best graded man corner over the last three years. I'm not saying he's our best corner but he is literally our best corner when we play man and if we wanna play man more he needs to be our corner from here on out.
Bills have to play better next week, on defense and offense.. without the turnovers they lose
KC offense is not Baltimores
OK, Mr. NEGATIVE
