Joel Embiid’s immaturity and inability to lead both on and off the court is the reason for the destruction of the 76ers. Instead of leading he trolls, publicly blames teammates, never protects his teammates under all conditions, always unhealthy, can’t carry a team in the final quarter and I can go on.

This team is an organizational failure from top to bottom. 20 plus years of not making past the 2nd round, 40 years since our last championship. 30 plus years of failure to build around their superstars, including these recent failures to keep all star caliber co stars. Leading to losing our franchise players to trade requests. This team has been a problem for a long time and it's time they and the fans comes to grips with that. So I don't blame Joel if he requests a trade. In fact I'm hoping he does we need a reset, that includes not just getting draft picks, but an entirely new front office

When they got rid of Jimmy Butler I knew the organization wasn't the smartest, I know it sounds crazy but I'm a big harden fan. But I'd put more faith in Jimmy than harden and it shows why, Jimmy helped Miami reach further in the playoffs THAT NO ONE EXPECTED. Even me, Harden has shown time and time again he cannot finish in the playoffs, and this is coming from a Rockets fan, plus the injuries played a part as well.

Guy was drafted in 2024, it's almost 10 years later. He's been through like three different team eras with the Sixers, the process has failed unfortunately. There's probably nowhere to go from here for the Sixers besides another rebuild, time for Embiid to leave. Not everything was the Sixers fault ofc, if Ben Simmons was wired right mentally things may have been different. Embiid has had a good amount of help in his time with the Sixers, but all the help has been dysfunctional and/or short lived

Joel Embid is probably one of the most dislikable players in the league that I also feel kinda sorry for. Even though he’s a villain and he’s come up short more than once come playoff time, he’s also had drama on his team every year since Gasol made him cry. Can’t help but be curious what he could do on a franchise like the Spurs or Miami. Or hell, even Toronto with all the international talent and a GM connected to Africa.
I don’t like him and cheer to see him fail but the basketball fan in me also wants to see him in a good situation to see what he can really do.

From what ive heard it could also be possible that the houston story came from morey asking harden to look at other options so that way he had an easier time giving him the max. Like hey see ownership harden could leave we gotta give him the bag. But no one wanted to give harden even close to what he wanted so now even if Morey wanted to givr him the 4 year max he litterally couldnt. No idea what happened but this makes the most sense to me since i dont understand why morey would just turn on his goat. I also believe that morey promised a trade if harden wanted but again after harden didnt get offered a contract the trades there probably werent great and morey expected a kings ransom for harden and decided it was smarter to keep him.

In fairness on the Okafor selection, it sort of made sense at the time. Okafor was considered the safest bet at that selection. There were also a lot of rumors/belief that he could play the PF position. While the idea of having two paint-bound bigs on the floor at the same time is questionable, there is at least a line of logic there. A dominant, bruising PF next to Embiid would have allowed the Sixers to absolutely dominate the painted area and Embiid's ability to space would have made it slightly less of a liability.

Celtics traded down their pick and got more pics to get their players and look how many times we've seen the Celtics in the conference finals. that team is knows how to draft the right way! this is what loyalty got Embiid and Harden to the team/Daryl Morey

Idk what it is but when a team is underperforming with the assets the Sixers have had/still have along with a constantly rotating starting roster, it usually means some higher ups in the org are messing something up. The problem with this theory is all the reporting that Harden opted in because Morey wouldn’t communicate with him.
Also, the idea that Harden was going to get more money as a free agent is laughable. The trade discussions have made it clear that nobody really wants him at his current salary. He opted in because he knew nobody was going to pay him 36 million a year if he became a free agent.

As a Lakers fan, I do *not* want James Harden. His on and off court antics would run wild in California, and we don't need bad press and a heated locker room when we're trying to contend this year. He's said or done something to throw off teams in the past and even though he's a good facilitator now, so is LeBron. The Lakers just don't need him. Even with as inconsistent D'Angelo Russell can be at times especially in the playoffs, I'd rather have him on a much more *reasonable* contract than the one that James Harden could ask for.
