Although the freezer is the worst tower, it's relatively balanced for noobs, as newer players' defenses lack dps, so the freezer buys time. Also the Act III glitch where it perma-froze everything, everyone used it.
Ideas, if the freezer was to get a rework: - In Level 0, let it actually deal damage. Even if it is just 1 damage per shot. - Give this tower max hits. So like when upgraded to a certain level, let it freeze up to 2 to 3 enemies or so. - Display in the upgrades section how long the freeze time is. Increases almost every upgrade. - Have the enemies suffer damage while they're frozen solid. So maybe make that a level 2 or 3 upgrade or something. - Freezer's defense melting is pretty useless and pyro does it better, so get rid of it. - Bring his ability back. Please. We all miss it and that was what made him OP back then.
Okay, some of this stuff I agree with, but removing its defense melting is very unnecessary and bringing back its ability is a little too much, considering its a Beginner tier tower, it shouldn't be having abilities.

Here's a good idea for buffs to it: first off make the base fire rate 1.5 - 1.25 but also add a passive at max level that slows By 25% and if there in for longer then 3 seconds they get frost bite which reverses there armor into more damage taken and increases fire duration by 1.5x

Sledger also getting nerfed in this is horrible for me since I have him in my main load out. I constantly have to warn people with G. Pyro that my sledger won’t freeze the bosses and tanks that are on fire.
This is the same with the sledger and the jesters ice bombs. Toxic gunner is now the best tower for defence reduction if you plan on bringing freeze towers.
I feel like the freeze debuff and burn debuff should negate each other. If a pyro burns a frozen enemy, it takes off the frozen debuff and applies burn. If a sledger freezes a burning enemy, it takes away the burn effect and freezes it. It gives you the option of stalling with freeze or melting defense with burn but not both

this is exactly why sledger is the best stun tower (in my opinion) - it's cheap like gladiator - it has piercing (at a certain level atleast) - it can deal HELLA DAMAGE, im talking it can take down 6 abnormal bosses at once - fast hit time, so it can get more hits if you dont have sledger, just use electroshocker please. it's electricity chaining or whatever is really good, but i'd pick sledger over it the only bad thing about sledger is it has no hidden detection, but you shouldn't even need that if you have a minigunner or even a gold soldier (unless hidden boss lol)
My idea for freezer rework Coins needed for freezer will be now 2k Passive: can inflict cold and when it reach to 3 or after freezer hit it 3 times it will gain frostbite then lose 10% (stackable until 30%)of the enemy defence and last for 10 seconds but if there is a pyro nearby the freezer the frostbite effect will be removed from the enemy but the passive will change to hypothermia that will slow down the enemy by 10% (not stackable). I wouldn't really say freezer is bad tower since it's a support tower and people mostly compared it with its dps. Remember it's in the starter tower mean it's meant to help new player as it's the cheapest support tower they could afford on a early level so us a higher level player didn't use it and considered it bad because we can afford a better support tower that does better and start to meme on a starter support tower that is meant for easy mode and not difficult mode like fallen or hardcore. We all know we ain't bringing a starter tower to a hard mode like bring paintballer to hardcore mode cause it can do damage to lead like at that point that we unlocked hardcore we already have unlocked other tower that can do the exact same thing but way better. We don't really see much people bringing sniper, demoman, hunter, (scout and soldier doesn't count cause they have a golden skin) to play fallen or hardcore at all, because we have tower like minigunner, cowboy, accelerator, engineer to beat the mode already. Heck I use freezer on fallen and it clutch way more than I thought, just by placing 3 max out freezer help out alot and save me from losing so many time.
Being a starter tower and a support tower are not excuses for it being pretty terrible. Not only is it very oudated (Hasn't even been updated enough to use new animations, and its legs are completely stiff) but it's also just an objectively worse version of Sledger. Pyromancer and Electroshocker are two other support towers that you can get pretty early in the game, and they help a ton even later on, since they are actually decent towers. Freezer isn't bad because it's a starter support tower, it's just bad.
You said its meant for starter players to be used in easy mode. Tbh id much rather just use scouts and soldiers to win in easy , freezer wont help at all

I prefer to use it for fun as it's still decent for slowing enemies down at max if you play right, the game is a strategy game so freezer can have some what of a use for beginners but it won't last long until they get new towers like electro shocker or warden but it still take along time to grind for.
@@Monochromystii I'm pretty sure pyro is not a support tower on easy mode as it has no support because the mode early on have no reason to bring pyro as a support but as a crowd control tower like there is no enemies on easy or molten have defence armour and pyro is better off supporting on fallen and hardcore. Sledger is an event tower so beginners can't get that anymore only if it comes back as a gamepass but ok. Also this is my opinion don't take things too seriously.
I have literally no idea how freezer saved you from "losing so many times" when you spend like 30k (expensive ass tower for no reason) on it to deal like 10dps when you couldve used that money for like accelerator, minigunners, military bases, more farms, hell even scout can get you somewhere better, or even maxed out sledgers if you have the tower that do the job of freezing better and deal a ton of damage. that's kinda the problem, freezer gets outclassed way too damn easily lmao. also just because its a beginner tower doesnt even matter because if you have the material to win fallen mode, freezer is a bad investment. if you have the material to win normal mode, freezer is a terrible investment. if you have the material to win molten mode, freezer isn't a good investment but its not bad because you get a lot of money in that mode, but nonetheless its still very bad to spend your money on it when you can just spam scouts and farms and actually get far, but if you just waste like 30k getting maxed freezers, thats a bit crazy and you're definitely going to leak some rusher zombies. FREEZA SUCKS.
freezer just needs to have it be pyro's damage numbers and similar costs, while freezing after building up a bar against enemiees (has pierce) so that way it can do decent damage, slow and have enough impact to be worth putting in a loadout. Because as it is, its pretty much worthless. Even its older version kinda sucked since its better to just replace the- 10k cost (not joking) with like 3 max gold scouts to get a way bigger profit. Its damage is low, its freeze is bad and to make things worse, it has no splash and low attack speed.

The only way to use freezer is to use it in a cheesy way, that by just spamming them so hard to delay a enemy that you know you can't beat, That the only thing I've seen it be used for. I used the Pw2 old coin grind strat where you spam freezers to stall the amalgamation. thats literally it.

If a enemy is on fire, it can't get frozen. This means if a frost blaster, sledger, or freezer hit an enemy while its on fire it won't freeze them. Makes sense but it sucks.

Clearly this man hasn't seen the Bee tower, The bee tower does 1 damage and speeds up zombies on each hit while to top that off the tower's animations and some of the meshes on it are broken. Or even the Frost Blaster tower.
Freezer actually have a use, for stuns in strategy. You know strategy must had a perfect money so you can follow the strategy, because of how upgrade money works in freezer, you can't use electroshocker because the cost to upgrade is different from strategy. And one of them is hardcore gems grind strategy, use it to slow down the slow boss.
hey heres an idea what if the admins made a new tower maybe called snowman or something that would do splash damage deal defense melting and freeze enemies for long the higher the boss the lower the freeze time but it would work faster plus if it could freeze other enemies that arent frozen yet it would work so much faster it is a great idea if you give it the right stats but the starter freezer yea theres no saving that tower but making a higher level one would work better
For those who never played tds back then. Freezer once had a ability that droped a cube that freezes enemy infront of it for a long time. (even effecting the final boss). Super op right so they nerfed the ability. Now this is a full freeze aoe ability that freezes medium level bosses like the slow boss and all enemies below. It had crappy dps still but the ability somewhat made up for it. Tds devs: remove the ability.
Sledger also has the nerf that the freeze gets molten well when i played with 2 randoms 1 put down sledger and 1 put down pyro and sledger was completely useless
There is one time I was obsessed with freezer and medic a couple of years ago their standard upgrade cash was about 14,000 for the both of them without DJ the molten boss always had 2,000 Health left

They changed the effect system. So now they can do some things with it like this that enemies on fire can't get freezed from anything they will most likely add more of these lil things with effecgs
Honestly I want them to rework freezer into being an aoe tower like Pyromancer where it sprays some cold icy waves, or turn it into a mage like character (not a skin) that has aoe stunning on it's entire range (kinda like the fire mage from arena tower defense)

I actually quite like the freezer, now call me what you want but i think if you place enough of them down they can stunlock a long time for the price, I (thanks for noticing) understand its not the best at its job and DEFININITELY needs a buff but i believe it can do ok ammounts of stunning for its price and i feel like its unfair to compare it to like eletro or sth cuz first its a beginner tower and secondly it 350, quite cheap, i understand the. Also the balancer must've slept 23 hours 50 minutes a day because freezer "promised" rework that have been announced about a year ago doesn't get released or revealed at all.

this is exactly why sledger is the best stun tower (in my opinion)
- it's cheap like gladiator
- it has piercing (at a certain level atleast)
- it can deal HELLA DAMAGE, im talking it can take down 6 abnormal bosses at once
- fast hit time, so it can get more hits
if you dont have sledger, just use electroshocker please. it's electricity chaining or whatever is really good, but i'd pick sledger over it
the only bad thing about sledger is it has no hidden detection, but you shouldn't even need that if you have a minigunner or even a gold soldier (unless hidden boss lol)

My idea for freezer rework
Coins needed for freezer will be now 2k
Passive: can inflict cold and when it reach to 3 or after freezer hit it 3 times it will gain frostbite then lose 10% (stackable until 30%)of the enemy defence and last for 10 seconds but if there is a pyro nearby the freezer the frostbite effect will be removed from the enemy but the passive will change to hypothermia that will slow down the enemy by 10% (not stackable).

I wouldn't really say freezer is bad tower since it's a support tower and people mostly compared it with its dps. Remember it's in the starter tower mean it's meant to help new player as it's the cheapest support tower they could afford on a early level so us a higher level player didn't use it and considered it bad because we can afford a better support tower that does better and start to meme on a starter support tower that is meant for easy mode and not difficult mode like fallen or hardcore. We all know we ain't bringing a starter tower to a hard mode like bring paintballer to hardcore mode cause it can do damage to lead like at that point that we unlocked hardcore we already have unlocked other tower that can do the exact same thing but way better. We don't really see much people bringing sniper, demoman, hunter, (scout and soldier doesn't count cause they have a golden skin) to play fallen or hardcore at all, because we have tower like minigunner, cowboy, accelerator, engineer to beat the mode already. Heck I use freezer on fallen and it clutch way more than I thought, just by placing 3 max out freezer help out alot and save me from losing so many time.
Being a starter tower and a support tower are not excuses for it being pretty terrible.
Not only is it very oudated (Hasn't even been updated enough to use new animations, and its legs are completely stiff) but it's also just an objectively worse version of Sledger.
Pyromancer and Electroshocker are two other support towers that you can get pretty early in the game, and they help a ton even later on, since they are actually decent towers.
Freezer isn't bad because it's a starter support tower, it's just bad.
You said its meant for starter players to be used in easy mode. Tbh id much rather just use scouts and soldiers to win in easy , freezer wont help at all

I prefer to use it for fun as it's still decent for slowing enemies down at max if you play right, the game is a strategy game so freezer can have some what of a use for beginners but it won't last long until they get new towers like electro shocker or warden but it still take along time to grind for.
@@Monochromystii I'm pretty sure pyro is not a support tower on easy mode as it has no support because the mode early on have no reason to bring pyro as a support but as a crowd control tower like there is no enemies on easy or molten have defence armour and pyro is better off supporting on fallen and hardcore. Sledger is an event tower so beginners can't get that anymore only if it comes back as a gamepass but ok. Also this is my opinion don't take things too seriously.
I have literally no idea how freezer saved you from "losing so many times" when you spend like 30k (expensive ass tower for no reason) on it to deal like 10dps when you couldve used that money for like accelerator, minigunners, military bases, more farms, hell even scout can get you somewhere better, or even maxed out sledgers if you have the tower that do the job of freezing better and deal a ton of damage. that's kinda the problem, freezer gets outclassed way too damn easily lmao. also just because its a beginner tower doesnt even matter because if you have the material to win fallen mode, freezer is a bad investment. if you have the material to win normal mode, freezer is a terrible investment. if you have the material to win molten mode, freezer isn't a good investment but its not bad because you get a lot of money in that mode, but nonetheless its still very bad to spend your money on it when you can just spam scouts and farms and actually get far, but if you just waste like 30k getting maxed freezers, thats a bit crazy and you're definitely going to leak some rusher zombies. FREEZA SUCKS.
freezer just needs to have it be pyro's damage numbers and similar costs, while freezing after building up a bar against enemiees (has pierce) so that way it can do decent damage, slow and have enough impact to be worth putting in a loadout. Because as it is, its pretty much worthless. Even its older version kinda sucked since its better to just replace the-
10k cost (not joking) with like 3 max gold scouts to get a way bigger profit. Its damage is low, its freeze is bad and to make things worse, it has no splash and low attack speed.

The only way to use freezer is to use it in a cheesy way, that by just spamming them so hard to delay a enemy that you know you can't beat, That the only thing I've seen it be used for. I used the Pw2 old coin grind strat where you spam freezers to stall the amalgamation. thats literally it.

guys come to think about it Below needs to buff, Freezer, Paintballer, Commando, Slasher, Swarmer, Frost Blaster and toxic gunner which is pretty long but, They have been slowly buffing them

If a enemy is on fire, it can't get frozen. This means if a frost blaster, sledger, or freezer hit an enemy while its on fire it won't freeze them. Makes sense but it sucks.

Clearly this man hasn't seen the Bee tower, The bee tower does 1 damage and speeds up zombies on each hit while to top that off the tower's animations and some of the meshes on it are broken.

Freezer actually have a use, for stuns in strategy. You know strategy must had a perfect money so you can follow the strategy, because of how upgrade money works in freezer, you can't use electroshocker because the cost to upgrade is different from strategy. And one of them is hardcore gems grind strategy, use it to slow down the slow boss.

hey heres an idea what if the admins made a new tower maybe called snowman or something that would do splash damage deal defense melting and freeze enemies for long the higher the boss the lower the freeze time but it would work faster plus if it could freeze other enemies that arent frozen yet it would work so much faster it is a great idea if you give it the right stats but the starter freezer yea theres no saving that tower but making a higher level one would work better
For those who never played tds back then. Freezer once had a ability that droped a cube that freezes enemy infront of it for a long time. (even effecting the final boss). Super op right so they nerfed the ability. Now this is a full freeze aoe ability that freezes medium level bosses like the slow boss and all enemies below. It had crappy dps still but the ability somewhat made up for it. Tds devs: remove the ability.
