Thickened water is absolutely lifesaving for people who have issues swallowing. I work as a disability support worker and have clients who have to have all fluids really thick and fed to them on a spoon because they can't swallow well. I am so grateful for my ability to swallow regular fluids.

Had to look up Thick water which is a beverage specifically designed for people with dysphagia (difficulty swallowing). Well, now you know... 'sensitive gag reflex' not had that in a while!
It’s water with a thickening agent added. It’s thickened for people who have difficulty swallowing because thicker liquids are safer for them than thinner ones. My nana had to have it when she developed dementia because she tended to aspirate regular water.
The thicken water is for people that have trouble swallowing. There are different levels of thickness you can get, looks like they got you the really thick one lol. Not gunna lie I’ve wanted to try them lol
