    FYI: the Pixel 6A doesn’t have a telephoto. It’s a 2x Digital crop.

    You do this kind of video so much better than most. More of these please. The Pixel looks better in most circumstances to me but I am used to Google photos so there's that.

      @ThisIsTechToday  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You think so? What makes them better? I always find that these are very hard videos to make and they never turn out at the quality I want or hope for. It would certainly help to know what parts make them good so I can focus on that.

      @@ThisIsTechToday I like the fact that you don't rush them. People throw up photos and say _the pixel is blurry_ but there is no way for anyone to look at 4 photos flashed on the screen for 2 seconds. You showed how to take advantage of light or how to minimize the effects of harsh light. Also, adding humor is great. Most importantly for me I never get the order from _on high_ to *don't buy this device*

      @@ThisIsTechToday For me, it's hard to even find ANY detailed camera comparisons, but on top of that you compare them in very good conditions. I love how much details and notes you say about taking photos and videos. Many other reviewers just take for granted that everybody knows all the tips and tricks of taking photos and what to look at in the comparison.
      The humor is taking it to entirely new level, I wanted to thumb the video up like 10 times throughout the video (i don't normally want to like the videos once, unless I really like them).
      As a side note, I greatly appreciate the amount of time you took to shot all the different kind of photos! Thank you very much ❤️

    Honestly the Poco did better than I thought it would. There are obviously some pros and cons in terms of what hardware you made me not want to use but I did notice that the pixel consistently pulled out more detail than the Poco and that is what I would prefer in a phone. Also the pixel has that real tone and I will want more accurate skin tones especially as someone with darker skin. Interestingly, the Poco, algorithmically, seems to focus on the face and making sure that it is bright and well-lit which I'm sure some people like but I tend to not like that as it seems to make things look a bit fake.....edit: Night sight was no contest...Pixel stomps 😂😂
    Also, I know that park 😉. If you ever need help with holding a camera or just talking to someone while on set in there area, I'm down to pop up lol.

    • @ThisIsTechToday
      @ThisIsTechToday  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah, the Poco is doing really well at providing a lot for a really crazy price. There are extra apps and stuff installed, so that is partially how that is possible, but still commendable. Real Tone is huge for me.

    Nice to see american TH-cam's getting hand on budget devices available in EU and Asia.
    I know Americans have a hard on for wireless charging but apart from that they are quite good. As I am someone who has hard on for his headphone jack and sd card slot on his phone I love these budget phones I am not much of a camera person.
    But regardless thanks for the great video 👍
    Fun Fact :- Most xiaomi or poco phones launched in Japan will have extra features even the budget ones.
    Like having support for NFC (osaifu - keitai a proprietary NFC chip made by Sony for Japan, required for day to day life for most people living in urban areas to pay for public transport and convenience stores and many vending machines), certified water proof rating.

    I chose 6a over nothing phone and X5 pro..
    Only things that hurt me are
    1- Phone gets heats too quickly and too much even when I'm just using whatsapp telegram nothing major
    2- Since phone heats it drains battery even quicker and what even hurts the most is slow charging. Now imagine filling 4400mah cell with just 18w brick 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
    3- Outdoor visibility is still meh on this phone.
    4- Fingerprint sensor still causes issues here and there.
    5- Google still needs to refine bugs like double tap to wake is still bugged since Android 12L days.
    6- Rest all fine, I'm liking pixel exclusive feats like live translate and assistant voice typing. 6.1 form factor is great and I'm super relaxed because I know I'll be getting fastest android updates directly to Google. Also IP 67 and usb Type C 3.1 Gen 1 speed is added bonus 🎉
    Overall a 7/10 Phone

      @@ThisIsTechToday That's alright. But what can you say about the X5 Pro's front & selfie camera in terms of dynamic range, video stabilisation, white balance, skin tones, audio pickup? Display any good in direct sunlight?

    This is not even close, pixel has so much more natural colors, poco's pictures look like heavy edited / saturated. People prefering that have no clue of photography. You can get the same result on pixel photos by putting a filter on. Poco low light quality is a joke, looks like a phone from 2010. Not to mention heavy load of bugs in poco's software, but that's not the topic now.

  • @BIOSHOCKFOXX
    @BIOSHOCKFOXX ปีที่แล้ว

    It's a tough choice to be honest. Sound is definitely way better on POCO. PIXEL has more natural colors and darker blacks, where POCO has blue-ish brightened darks, and more bluer sky, basically more vibrant/vivid colors by default, making sky behind trees look a bit overlapping tree edges. PIXEL meanwhile has some sharpening effect in shadowed places and takes a second or two to adjust in dark areas, on the front camera.
    Other problem is that PIXEL and POCO has no extendable memory, and there is no model with 258GB on PIXEL, it is stuck with just 128, where POCO has both variants.

    I always feel like they assign the development of color science on cheap phones to people with no experience in color or photography, they handle white balance, exposure and the post processing pretty bad. The overly saturated image is always a dead giveaway to me (especially the blues and the greens), as well as the digital oversharpening, tho sometimes it can look good, most of the time they destroy the dynamic range and quality of the images.

    Thanks for the comparison, was looking for one - I own a Poco X3 Pro - and it works quite ok, nothing special - Camera is one of the main weeknesses of this type of phones.
    In terms of daily uses - I think the Poco X5 Pro is better - it gets less hot on normal tasks, has good buttery, has option for better memory and disk space. I like the software in the Poco a bit less though, but using it daily I find not much is a deal breaker with it.
    I am considering this against the Galaxy A54 for my mom and niece, where the Poco is around 23% cheaper.
    Another downside of the Poco is its lack of built in eSim - you need to purchase it separately.

    At 8:52 you clearly rendered the picture to make your potato joke, as at 8:57 the clearly UN-rendered pic was revealed. Why do you do this? I assume this is a Pixel fan-boy channel.
    Poco did a good job overall, especially at sundown. Sure, too much color saturation for my taste. But that awful white-balance of the Pixel here is more annoying to me. Have a good evening 🍺

      You clearly....can't read. I accidentally enabled beauty mode and that's what the slider was, not the aperture.
      If you assume someone is a fan boy, you are the fanboy of the other brand. Don't be tribalistic. It's cringe
