First, i am really sorry about your ill hotel experience, you should try to get someone who knows the in and out of ib, the internet is not as promising as somone who has a whole lot of info, there are numerous comfortable luxury hotels here. I guarantee 100% comfort at any of these hotels, Bon hotel, Golden Tulip hotel, many more abound to mention a few of the safe and comfy ones, just picture a lagos island hotel and you can have a good standard as well.
Now to my city 😎, Ib is a calm city to live in as far as i have lived 99% of my life here..
There's a whole lot, i mean a whole lot, to explore in my city. When it comes to peace choose ib.
When Agodi gardens used to be what it was, then you will know your experience at the new Agodi gardens is "just there", those that live in ib and have visited Agodi in the past will agree, Agodi now is like a recreational center, those old times of seeing wild animals, the croc's, the ferocious lions the snakes....U.i zoo too have lost it's pride, imagine seeing a goat as a wild animal🤣, days of of seeing crazy animals, who remembers."imade" the gorilla...
Now to the estates, there is a lot to explore. IB is such a calm city, peaceful, non chaotic, explore estates like kolapo ishola GRA, Aerodrome (the father of all estates), having up to 24hrs electricity, i wished i lived there 😊, Carlton gate estate. For the investors there's a whole lot to dable into as we have those that can pay for luxury.
I was in lagos for some months and getting held in traffic is another thing, in ib your max traffic is 3-5min even at that then something is going wrong already. If not for the big companies that are not here, ib will be your one stop.
I just marvel at how somee wants to reside on the lagos island, whereas the land mass here is just more than enough for anyone to create a replica. Just one huge company in IB city and boom, its another story. Imagine having a Chevron and every way leads to ib.
I wished investors can duplicate many of Aerodrome standard, don't worry about the power supply, we will give you solar to cater for a whole estate😎😎.
There is a whole lot about ib, the night scenes and all, so much to say about ibadan.
And yes if there was a big commercial center around this new developing areas then it will be a boom. I remember her saying "investors gather here.. so true...

Your documentary worth a billion dollar. Ibadan has always been underrated despite that it produced most of our nationalists in their early life. When I moved to Ibadan in 2016 from Lagos, I almost rated it above Lagos. There I saw life in a natural way with people's distinctive shinning, opening their shops at 10am and closing at 4:00PM. It's so amazing, even 75% of bike riders in Ibadan build their own house. A friend visited me from Lagos then and discovered how Ibadan Micro Finance Bank are so beautiful and well built like the real commercial banks in Lagos, having their own ATM cards then, as it was not in Lagos then. The quality of their radio station programs was far ahead of that of Lagos that I left. It was a new planetary experience. All cities have both old and new areas. It depends on the area an individual visits that will determine his experience.

Ibadan is so underrated. It is such a beautiful and accommodating city. That is the one city in Nigeria that is dearest to me. Although I was not born in Nigeria nor an indigene of Oyo state, I was taken from the UK to Ibadan as a toddler and left a little over 3 years later. That was some 48 years ago. I remember the shock when I moved to Lagos!! It took me a while to adjust to the maniac pace of life compared to that of the peaceful one I left at Ibadan. My time in Ibadan is permanently etched in my memory. My grandma who never went to school managed to own several stalls of buka at Dugbe and sent one of her daughters to study abroad. If there is any city I will like to live in in Nigeria, it's definitely Ibadan.

Nigeria is in deed an awesome place. If only our leaders will just use a bit of their brains. There is a huge potential for tourism and realestate to be a huge income earner for the country.
I saw a Maya video on TH-cam recently. He was interviewing this black American couple who bought a house and relocated to South Africa. The couple is in the business of facilitating home ownership for disaporan Africans and other nationals alike in South Africa.
That is only possible because of SA government's commitment and investment in both social and security infrastructure in that country.
I have gone on holidays to places like Bali and Fiji, and i can confidently tell you there are no better spectacular places to explore in those locations than those littered across Nigeria.
Bali and Fiji are the most popular holiday spots for Australians.

Hello Mr Moha .M" Mr Omini Ekwe & Mr Mubarak Oduola were actually right, Ibadan is the biggest City in Nigeria in times of Landsize area, we should all try to learn to know ourselves & our Nation history more so that we'll not be committing unnecessary blunders by arguing with each others in public; we're not talking about state but cities bcos both are two different things, then maybe in times of populations' we all can attest that Lagos & Kano state are actually bigger; However" if I may say or predict the future of more greater Nigeria to come' that GOD willing for majority us in current Nigerian to witnesses my prediction of greater Nigeria of our time; We should all wait & watch out for the old Ibadan structurally growing in development & the new emerging modern structure development growing next to the old one will defines how Ibadan is going to be more attractive & start to overtaking others in time of more populations wise bcos of its bigger size advantage; So MAY GOD CONTINUE TO HELPS & BLESSES NIGERIA OUR GREAT COUNTRY WITH ALL ITS INHABITANTS. AMEN.

This is perhaps the best video of Ibadan that's available on TH-cam.
You should perhaps visit again and give us drone shots of Bodija, Jericho, UI and IITA as those places will certainly look great on footage.
For the ancient side of Ibadan, I think I like it a lot. Cos it shows the city has architectural character that's unique to western Nigeria and helps demonstrate the long standing history of such a great city. And it's beautiful as it is. The only thing, I'd do as a governor is to construct more of the street roads in those ancient areas, maintain the green spaces and you'll find that the city's aerial shots will begin to take on the appearance of ancient Italian cities like Venice (without the canals), Naples and Florence around the ancient settings.
Nigeria is truly diverse and beautiful

You should have climbed up Cocoa House like the Tower. ROFL. I know there was a huge fire in Cocoa House over 35 years ago and was eventually rebuilt. As a white US citizen I was interested in it’s history. No elevators work so have fun climbing the stairs. Higher up many of the floors are empty. At some point you reach a gate to prevent one from going higher. But there’s a way to go around this. It’s a nice hike up all the way.

I quess the detailed explanation and drone images makes all the difference. I have always believed lbadan is the only city with the potential to overtake lagos state in a lot of areas if planned properly....lt has the land, it can attract people from lagos, osun, Ekiti, ondo, ilorin even the middle belt just by being a bit closer to these places than lagos state. With the trainline and a good road network lbadan will certainly give lagos state a sleepless night or two. 😂

Your video is top-notch. I just relocated out of Ibadan not too long, I still have the nostalgic feeling. Ibadan is home to me, I don't think I can stay elsewhere in Nigeria even with the fact that I have been to many cities in Nigeria. Ibadan people are real (No unnecessary forming and packaging 😃😃). Ibadan is very very underrated in Nigeria even you underrate it in a way when you are talking about hotels 😢. Asides, from Owu Crown and Premier Hotel there are many luxurious hotels in Ibadan especially in Jericho, Bodija, Oluyole, etc and many are still coming up, particularly the one in front of the customs office in Bodija, and I'm sure of another two in Jericho. As of today, Nowhere in Nigeria that can be compared to Lagos, Abuja does not even come close (my opinion tho). Ibadan has a lot of potentials if the state government can put more energy into infrastructure, cleanliness, and provide an enabling environment for start-ups, and do a lot of PR for the old city the way Lagos state governments do for Lagos, I am 95% sure the city will edge Lagos. Ibadan can be an education hub (The first and the best University in Nigeria and one of the best in Africa), many colleges Nigeria icons attended (Loyola, St Annes, St Lious, GCI, ISI, Ibadan Boys etc), Research Center/ Hub (IITA, NAGRAB, IART, CRIN, etc), the city can also be one of the biggest places for real estate if the government can regulate and do proper planning, also if they can look into entertainment too. The city is one of the media centers in Nigeria back then. I think the brown roof is an iconic representation of Ibadan, it's one of the oldest cities in West Africa. So, Please next time before you do any video, go to Ojo Oba, Mapo Hall, or Beere and give us a nice shoot of the brown roofs. It's a feeling for some of us 😂😂😅😅.
Awesome Content. I'll farabale look into your real estate. Well done 💯🙌🏿 👏

Thank you so much for this documentary about Ibadan. The new estate communities like Ruby City, under construction, should be built to complement the natural green environment. There should be tree preservation in place. The villas should have beautiful vegetation, communal swimming pool, play areas for children and sport facilities. There should be enough garden space per villa to build your own swimming pool if you like. All owners must be made to have lush and green gardens and the sewer system should be cockroach and ant proof, THANK YOU🥰!

Ibadan is a really nice city that will surprise visitors that have never been there before.
Most people judge the city wrongly when they only byepass it to other parts of Nigeria. But once you go inside. It's really nice for what would be one of Nigeria's oldest cities.

University of Ibadan is the First University in Nigeria. Ibadan arguably is the Capital of South West where Yoruba People are Concentrated. You did a Great Job. I hope that the Government will recognize Your Incredible Promotion if Ibadan Definitely.

Wow! What a MARVELOUS job you did about Ibadan. We Nigerians and Africans in general don't appreciate what we have. We focus too much on only the bad side, without noticing the good. Nigeria is changing rapidly, yet many don't see it. Anyway, keep up the good work.

I took two Igbo girls from Lagos to Ibadan to spend weekend, as we entered Ibadan through Challenge, ring-road, Dugbe, Mokola down to Bodija estate where we stayed. they were so shocked to see how beautiful Ibadan is and one of them asked me, do Igbos also live here? when I said YES lots of Igbos live here and most of those good looking fabric/wears you see at Dugbe market are actually owned by the Igbos, I can see that unquantifiable smile on their face.
