Where was Lacob when it came to keeping KD? That's your Jimmy Johnson moment. He chose Green over Durant.
@@TheeRobertPhoenix KD didn’t want to come back. Get over it
I absolutely agree with you, Lacob is drinking his own kool-aid and he forgets that the only significant contribution he has made is spending money.
Uhhh this is delusional and uneducated take. He hired bob myers, steve kerr, and brought in jerry west. He inherited a gimpy ankled steph and a 26 win roster with no talent. You’re making it seem like he inherited some loaded team with a storied history. They were a perennial loser before he bought the team with no hope. He put a loaded roster and great coaching staff around steph
Lacob went from consulting with The Logo to talking to his son...
It's going to be a long while for the Golden State Warriors to achieve this amount of success again.
Like some franchises, say, the Boston Sox, it might be 100 years before the Warriors rise again.
I didn’t know light years were so short…
when you are traveling at the speed of light, time slows down. Lacob is mister light years, so he is moving slowly compared to the rest of the league.
@@sammyk988 lol. A fool and his money are soon to part.
Light years can happen at the snap of a finger when you are the captain of the Enterprise.
Joe Lacob oughta have guts: replace Steve Kerr with another coach such as Terry Stotts or Mike Brown.
The GM ought to trade for a tall 🦒 starting center.
Kerr is closer to Switzer than Johnson. Any half decent coach could’ve won it all with four future HOFs.
Jerry Jones and his son have much better in the NFL draft than John Lynch, Larry.
Draymond was responsible for Jacob Evans.
The warriors are toast period. San Francisco and Oakland fans are back to basketball being second rate.
Lacob is an arrogant ass & a control freak. I agree with the Jerry Jones comp. And what was their big, relevant move to make the team competitive this season? To trade for an old, washed up Paul George & they couldn't even pull that off! And remember, Lacob was the one who wanted James Wiseman!
The correct off season move would have been to trade Curry & Green for a great combo of picks & players & do an instant reset. Now all they can do is search for bandaids!
Trading steph , klay , or dray would be stupid as far as attracting future free agents. You let them leave on their own accord . You can’t trade franchise legends . I believe in karma too . Look at how the niners did their legends back in the day. Now they haven’t won a chip in 31 years
@ninerempire3398 with the bloated salaries of their aging core they cannot pay any decent free agents! Of course you can move on from your stars, don't be ridiculous! Otherwise you don't stay competitive. This "run it back" mentality is what has caused this team to be non competitive & nearly unwatchable.
Why are these new warrior fans such crybabies ? This is how dynasties always end. Their main players end up getting old , losing a lot of steps, and then it’s time to for a rebuild. Did the bandwagon’s think it was gonna last forever? What dynasty competes for 12,13,14 years straight? Somebody tell me
I agree. The runs we went on were special. It’s extremely difficult to replicate what we had. A lot of fans are very entitled but sometimes there is literally nothing you can do.
Gary St Gene 2.0. Let the hurt begin again.
Gary St. Jinx to us old school fans
How quickly these fans forget the Cohen years. Larry knows exactly what topics will get viewers. I’d take Lacob as the owner of the Giants. The warriors have no capital to make trades.
Light years behind, and cocky. He thinks he's going to bring wnba to nba level should tell you his stupidity .
Idk, it's like they are scared to pull the trigger on Free Agents, & Mike Dunleavy ain't it!
Free agents? This is a real casual comment. They’ve been way over the salary cap for years. They haven’t been able to sign anybody significant for years because they don’t have the money to do it
@@ninerempire3398 Please explain the LA Lakers for me then.
once Steph retires, the Warriors are going to be a bottom of the barrel team, that will have alot of emptier seats.. no one will show up esp with the ticket prices these days to go to a game . Lacob is an absolute joke of an owner
No he isn’t , that’s delusional. Every dynasty goes through rebuilding years at the end of their run. This is standard
Already there at the bottom if you compare payroll to wins
@@ninerempire3398 U A FOOOOO if you think he's light years ahead. call it lucky at best.
@@gcman1111 where did I say any of that? You a bandwagon bro. You weren’t here when lacob wasn’t the owner. They were garbage and hopeless before lacob bought the team. 😂😂😂😂 how is it lucky? You don’t get lucky turning a bottom dweller into a dynasty . That’s delusional
Kerr 11 years not one draft pick panned out in to all star Myers sucked Kerr suck as decision makers.
Kerr seems to be meddling in front office stuff too.
on behalf of Draymond 😐
It's ok if Lacob lets his son be the GM but let him be the GM and get out of the way.
For a supposedly smart businessman, Joe Lacob does not know how to pivot with the market. If your team is getting beat up by competition with big men, then you go get a big man. Not a closet full of wings.
Not even wings. Guards
@@user-ek4nh8oq8f pivoting with the market would mean trading steph and dray. But they won’t trade their legends who got them 4 chips and that makes sense. People always make it seem like it’s a big man issue when really it’s your star/best player getting outplayed almost every single night against other team’s stars. You can’t win at a high level with your star constantly getting outplayed
Larry I coined this on my own 3 days ago on one of your shows. I’ve never heard a single person say this ever. But I tossed it out there because I believe it.
I’ll comment on my own comment. You word smithed my thoughts from 3-4 days ago. It was football talk and then something about the warriors and what they’re doing. While watching the show that’s when it hit me, I was like Joe Lacob is the young new Jerry Jones and how he’s taken over and let talent leave. Anyways, always good stuff. I need zero flowers. I’m trying to upload the 2024 Krueg Show in review with your guys permission. I just busted my ass Saturday night trying to avoid mud and here I am in crutches and a boot and thought I tore me knee. Go Trent Balkee!
We gotta fix your mic larry
I can hear him well
It’s clicking
He still has Steph, he trying to be loyal a-la-Lakers w their all-time players. The franchise has historically been bad, they want to honor their best player.
Hard, hard, hard disagree with Krueg on this. The warriors issues all boil down to one fundamental problem: they are a late stage dynasty, who cannot make the move that would get them moving forward again, but that is not Lacob's fault. Compounding the issue is that the NBA just passed a CBA specifically designed to stop the warriors. The NFL never passed a CBA specifically designed to stop the Cowboys.
The problem with the warriors is that Steph is old, and Steph is not prime Steph anymore. All the metrics back up this assessment of the team. When you have Steph, Draymond and Andrew Wiggins making $100 million per season in a league with draconian spending limits, and two of those three players are way past their primes, you have the late 90s and early aughts San Francisco 49ers: a late stage dynasty, with superbowl expectations, that are no longer reasonable nor feasible.
The obvious solution is to trade Steph somewhere he can win a fifth title as a #2 option, trade Draymond, bottom out, get a top 5 pick, and rebuild through the draft. The warriors can't do that. Lacob does not believe a team built around a soon to be 37 year old Steph can content; if he thought a team built around Steph could contend, he would have dealt all the assets and gone all-in.
Ultimately, late stage dynasties end in two ways: either something happens that causes it to blow up (the 49ers, with Aeneas Williams ending Steve Young's career, should have been that moment) or, the late stage dynasty eventually slides into irrelevance and no one cares anymore (what actually happened to the niners, and the giants too). Lacob is trying to keep his assets so that he's able to bounce back quickly.
@@SuperSupersoda 100 percent correct
@@ninerempire3398 What I don't get about Krueg and other delusional warriors' fans: the current warriors aren't similar to the late 90s Cowboys at all, but they are exactly similar to the late 90s 49ers, and the late teens SF Giants. Why aren't you using the comparison that actually fits? They are a late stage dynasty, with the additional handicap that the league they play in fine-tuned the CBA specifically to stop them (but not the Lakers, apparently). The single biggest story in all of sports is going completely uncovered: the NBA threw off the last attempt to cover it up, the NBA is RIGGED, 100%. Collusion is the only explanation for Luka going to the Lakers. Cover that, Larry!
They need to get rid of Kerr but again nepotism with Kerr’s son as coach in Santa Cruz. That means they most likely will not get rid of Steve.
Lacob got rid of Jerry West. Basically a reprisal of Jones firing Jimmy.
Close but not quite. He fired Mark Jackson.
@@TheeRobertPhoenix excellent move. Jackson stunk
@ Mark Jackson was not the personnel guy, West was...like Jimmy Johnson. Close, but not quite.
Don Nelson did not build the team that won 4 NBA Championships!! That’s crap!!
Good call. Troy Murphy deadline deal coming…
Excellent take
Not a good comparison. Dallas is a wreck of a franchise that hasn't won in 30 years.. Warriors won in "22.. We can have this conversation in 27 years
We need Bob Myers back
Jerry Jones got Tre Lance for a 3rd round pick and the Niners gave up 3 firsts for Lance. Who got the better end of the Lance deal?
Not bailing water for the Cowboys but how does the last four Niner drafts stack up with the Cowboys?
Extremely harsh comments about Warriors ownership by The Krueg.
He compares what they have done to the destruction of the NFL Cowboys by Jerrruh Jones.
What Krueg says carries the ring of truth.
No single player will really help them to be the best team in the west, they all know it
It’s hilarious you’re doing this after what Dallas just did
You are right... what a joke.
At the end of the day, the real fool is Steph Curry. Got brainwashed by the owner and head coach. He should requested a trade When Myers left.
Everyone is nepotistic, when given an opportunity.
West is the reason they were a dynasty. Lacob would have traded Thompson.
Sell the team next 10 years are going to be 👿 .
bring back monta ellis
Didnt the warriors win like 4 chips in the last decade after being mostly irrelevant?
The NBA is very lucky. Lacob, Meyers, and Kerr….i assume they make decisions together. Really made about 6 decisions that kept the warrior
S from being dominant for 20 years.
Yep
That mic is doing my head sorry im out
Funny how NO ONE wants to play for the Warriors!
And why is that? Answer: Draymond Green
I have the warriors scheduled to win their next title in 2065 its over lacob should sell he's not fit to run a hot dog stand.🌭🌭🌭🌭
@@ronaldrollins1558 what an idiotic take. He turned a dumpster franchise into a dynasty
i said this last night!!!!!
Remind me of another person too well lol
Nobody cares about the NBA
The Lakers got NBA hotter than the Superbowl
football is repetitive talk about the same games 6 days straight
Agreed.
NBA was third rate even with magic and bird football and baseball always ahead.
Lost me at Steph is done.
He’s done bro. Why can’t warrior fans accept it? Most athletes are done at 37. Why is steph the exception?
There is no sense in reasoning with fools. You're probably not even a warriors fan. More like a Lakers fan from the Bay. Since your a Lakers fan you probably recall lebron winning chip at 36. How about reggie miller still compteing for chip in his late 30's? Better yet how about Spurs old roster? Worry about your own team and stop trying to troll.
@@anthony-julian bro, take the warriors/rose colored glasses off. He is 37, why would you think he’s not done? Almost every single player in nba/sports history was past their prime at age 37. Why is steph different from every other player in history? Because you’re a big steph stan?
I gave you examples to contemplate. Generational talent rarely gets drafted. "Trust the Process "chants in Philadelphia! LUKA is now on your Lakers Team. But like I said no reasoning with fools. Steph stan!? Coming from a front running Laker fan. Shut up. I just appreciate 4 championships winning. Your trolling is weak. Haha, you probably want to fire Shanahan and bring back Eric Dickerson, Mike Nolan, Mike Singletary, Jimmy Tomsula and Chip Kelly. Complainer and worrying about someone else.
@@anthony-julian I’m from the city, what do you mean I’m an LA fan not from the bay lmao . He’s clearly past his prime and those are some weak examples you gave to contemplate. Why you in your feelings about steph being out of his prime? It’s weird. And telling the truth makes you a laker fan 😂😂😂😂
Bob Myers and Jerry West were the real brains that got the warriors dynasty established. Someone needs to remind Lacob of that. I was saying they should have traded everyone in 2023 after they lost to the lakers. They be on their way to building another contender again like OKC did. I wanted Green, Steph, Klay all gone back then. They could have gotten a monster haul for those guys. Now it’s too late.
oH STOP IT. ABSURD IDEA OF THE PAST.
@@jpete3027666 bob myers was a horrific drafting GM. The dynasty would still be on if he picked correctly
Lacob is acting like Joe Biden
