Looks like you had a great time mate. Should inspire others to follow. Keep up with the great work mate 👍

Nice to see a route recommended for e-bikes. Looking forward to seeing the remainder of the tour. Will you put up a gps route please?

Thanks ... and of course the crux with e-biking is to make sure there is power supply at the end of the day. This trip was planned to make sure there were sockets and storage for bikes 👍

Also having knowledge of good accommodation / charging points / secure bike storage is a must.

When you are planning accommodation do you specifically ask them if you can charge your bikes before you book.
Also do people expect a payment for charging your bikes.

Yes, for this trip we contacted all our accommodation to confirm that they had secure storage for our bikes, and that they had power to charge our batteries. All were very helpful and didn't ask for any payment for charging. My wife and i had removable batteries which made it easier for us as we could take them to our rooms.
The accommodation logistics is a wee bit more complicated however i used bookings.com as they allowed bookings to be cancelled if the accommodation chain didn't work.

Hi, yes i'm just waiting for clearance from You Tube before i can add links. This is all new to me so learning on the go. I'll probably add a link to Strava ... will this work for you?

Strava works for me Bob! You may have to make your Strava profile "public" or take "Follow" requests from folk?

@@2007bobd Great Bob! It all worked just fine .I didn't have to "Follow" you, but gained access to your whole Strava profile. I'm not sure if you actually wanted that though. I had to then find the month of the tour in your Activities (August!) to drill down to find all of the five days, and then exported each of the gpx files. Its not really that intuitive to work through all of that but if a user is familiar with Strava, its ok. I have been messing about with similar aspects of the whole TH-cam video, gpx download thing myself so I can entirely relate to the "learning curve". Because of the "access all" Strava profile thing, I have been trying out an app called MapMyRide. I don't use this as such but thought it would be a good place to park gpx files for rides I was happy to share. I set up a trial (wobbly) TH-cam clip and put the single gpx track link in the comments. Give it a go and see what you think as an alternative to the full access Strava method.

@@nickforwood yes maybe not a good idea to put my strava in public domain. I will remove that link. I am subscribed to Ride with GPS which i use to create routes so perhaps that's the way forward. I have all the rides as GPX i just need to find a place to put them on here ...
