This guy knows his shit ladies and gentlemen. If it wasn't for my current living in BFE, I'd be out there learning from Frank & AZHP as much as possible. Miss you man, keep up the great work!
Will do. This was one of our first dives into quality video production. Among getting better video quality and audio quality, getting a quality video monitor and better teleprompter solution are both on the list. Thanks for the suggestion.
No prob and thanks. We'll have a Qanba Obsidian review coming out in a few weeks as well. Don't forget to sub and check out other arcade stick related content here. :-)
amazing review. By far the most through and informative of all the dragon I saw before I purchased the stick, which is amazing. and yeah the thing is a fingerprint magnet.
Hey I’m not sure if you know but can you clip the wires for the start select and insert then into the UFB do you know it that’ll work??? I’ve been trying to figure out for the longest.
Excellent video. Extremely thorough, not only with the stick itself but with the background of fighting sticks. I’m new to fighting sticks and this video gave me a lot to think about. I’m really glad I found this. One thing to think about though, it might be nice to have your microphone closer to you for better audio. Your mic looks solid but it seems like you had to sort of yell into it due to distance. I’m sure you know what you’re doing though.
Had a friend lend me his and wanted to learn a little more about it. Had I not played on one I'd call you a shill, but omg, this stick is fucking niiiiiiiiiiice. He's offered to sell it to me, I might take him up on it.
Hi Frank I just got my Dragon and the LEDs on the top left are much brighter than the right side. I'm not sure what to do is that something I could repair if it gets worse down the road. This stick is amazing I really don't want to send it back but I want to keep this for years and in great condition, any advice would be great. Love your channel.
Hi Mike. While speaking with the Shoryuken Tech Talk guys this weekend while modding at EVO they mentioned on the Obsidian they can be rewired to the 5v line instead of the 3.3v and they're brighter. Not sure if it's the same for the Dragon, but the stock LEDs are kinda dim by default. Most people are okay with that as it adds a bit of color but isn't so bright it distracts. Honestly I wouldn't care, but if it's really a problem for you just replace the LEDs with a new one of a color of your choice. Take out the old ones, go get new ones for like $1.50 each at Fry's Electronics or whatever your local electronics store is, and put the new colors in. Not worth returning a $300 stick over a dim LED imo. Take the opportunity of what I showed in video for you to learn about the tech stuff. Get that knowledge bruhhh... -FrankCastleAZ
It's the entire top panel with the exception of where the plastic sides are. It essentially fits inside the bottom base when shut and clasped. The sides are part of the bottom base though and aren't that big as is, so it depends on if you're referring to the entire length as just the top or if you're referring to the top and bottom together when clasped.
OK how do I make Qnaba Dragon artwork? I need to know the perfect size + the type of paper that I will use to print on. I used A3 and it was too small unfortunately
I design fight stick art and I have a print cut and delivery service so you don’t have to worry about all that. Email me at ksmashkreations@gmail.com or Instagram @fightsticksmash
I'm stickless right now and want one so bad but can't find one anywhere. this sucks! eBay has one but the shipping is 150 extra bucks. I'm not paying 450 for it haha.
We've seen the "Dragon Slay" arcade stick on SRKTT but haven't done a tremendous amount of research on it. It seems to be a midrange quality arcade stick but the big flaw is having to pair a controller with it and keep it plugged in as you play. Not ideal for any situation whether home or out at a tourney.
dacbiet you can find it from China where qanba is based. They have an official shop on taobao.com. Just checked, price is rmb 2099 plus shipping to you.
Really nice vid. I wanted to buy one, but it´s not possible, cause i´m from germany :(. These comment are from FA(Focus Attack): "Qanba Fightsticks cannot be sold to customers outside USA and Canada until further notice.", and this is from Arcadeshock: "Due to licensing restrictions, we can only ship these to the USA and Canada addresses - No exceptions" So i´m not able to buy this, OMG! I thought I´d to "Freak out", but one dealer from canada makes it real on ebay, now im waiting for this beast to come. :)
i had to sub because you seem to have love for sticks and know your stuff nice video bro. i have a ps4 hori premium vlx and i don't even use it because its to heavy on my lap and not enough room to rest my risk and play so i just use my te2+ instead but i hate the way the buttons feel due to the weak ass panel if there ways a way to make it stronger and have the buttons feel better, any advice will be appreciated
With what you own now you're just gonna have to choose what negative you'd rather deal with. The buttons on the TE2/TE2+ aren't the issue. The hollow feel of the TE2/TE2+ is mainly due to riser rings on the buttons, and the way the panel and plexi is mounted on the top base. Of course that's not including the give on the panel due to hinge design. I'm not aware of anyone who provides replacement metal panels for the TE2/TE2+ as of now, and even if you did get one with a plexi that goes underneath the buttons instead of around I'm still not sure you would solve the hollow/cheap feel of the top unless the metal panel was super thick. Even then it wouldn't solve the hinge/clasp give on the TE2/TE2+ anyways. The only thing I can think of is if you removed the plexi, and removed the riser rings on the buttons and put the buttons back in. Buttons would be 100% on metal panel at that point, but you wouldn't have artwork unless you went the Lamilabel or vinyl graphic route. Of course that brings the issue in play where you'd have the bezel sitting 1/4 to 1/3 an inch off the metal because it doesn't have plexi supporting it. I know Tek-Innovations Art's Hobbies that I mentioned in the above video does have replacement plexis where it goes under the buttons and balltop instead of around it and at that time you'd be able to (and have to) remove the riser rings on the buttons. Just some thoughts and ideas. Also as a 270 lb guy I don't mind the weight of a heavy stick like the VLX or Dragon so I can't relate to your issue there. Not like you can make the VLX lighter or anything, but I'd be playing on that (after change to Sanwa or Seimitsu of course). Thanks for the sub, glhf, and let us know if you have any other questions. :-) -FrankCastleAZ
I finally solved the issue by buying a new stick lol i just bought the qanba obsidian and i love it got it for a good price to man now if i could get some good art work for it but i kinda like the black for now thanks for the reply
You can replace any of the buttons and joystick on the Dragon with ease. Adding LEDs to a joystick and buttons can be a complicated process to install though, as you'll need an LED board such as a Kaimana PCB, a hollow stick shaft, and the LED button inserts with semi transparent buttons like Sanwa OBSCs or Seimitsu PS-14-GN-Cs. All of this stuff you can get on Paradise Arcade Shop including hollow shafts. bit.ly/azhppas We may do a video in the future on how to install LEDs into a stick. Good luck and if you have further questions let us know. :-)
The Obsidian is nice from what we've seen so far. We received one in for review and should have that review up within the next 2 weeks. Enjoy your arcade stick!
We'll review the Obsidian if Eightarc sends us one. We've already asked. :-) Whether you'll get it is another story though haha thanks for the love tho Chris
well.. very nice joystick! But.. call me old fashion... Flashing lights when you hit your buttons or your controller ???!!.... No way for me ! I don't customize my car with "lights"... and so i don't customize with Led my joysticks !
VLX is still a great option, but disappoints it doesn't have Sanwa out the box and still has plastic sides that can crack with a fall especially since the VLX is so heavy. It's not like Hori has replacement sides like Madcatz did with the TE1 or TE2 either.
This guy knows his shit ladies and gentlemen. If it wasn't for my current living in BFE, I'd be out there learning from Frank & AZHP as much as possible. Miss you man, keep up the great work!
I love mine. Currently working on modding it with custom plexi, custom metallic silver buttons/stick, and venom art work :)
I hope someone puts out a vid on how to install a brooks universal fighting board on this stick
I'm using the Hori mini stick as a training wheel right now, but I'll eventually want to move up to a 'real' fightstick, and I'm considering this one
So is it possible to stick a brook ufb with mostly all functions working in this case?
"if you can afford it, fuck yeah buy this arcade stick"
I just went on focus attack and bought this arcade stick. fuck yeah.
I was pretty hard into the mindset to buy one of these, and this video confirmed it for me.
One good sugestion for you in future video's look at the camera more.
Will do. This was one of our first dives into quality video production. Among getting better video quality and audio quality, getting a quality video monitor and better teleprompter solution are both on the list. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks a lot for this review, it really has helped me choose what arcade stick I'm going to buy now
No prob and thanks. We'll have a Qanba Obsidian review coming out in a few weeks as well. Don't forget to sub and check out other arcade stick related content here. :-)
this is the best fightstick review not just for this stick but any stick PERIOD. well done! i found a dragon on ebay $150 and it is awesome 😎
How do you know if it's in good condition before you get it?
amazing review. By far the most through and informative of all the dragon I saw before I purchased the stick, which is amazing. and yeah the thing is a fingerprint magnet.
razer atrox had the break away braided cable several years ago. Dragon is a step up for sure though.
Do you think the LED will still work even if you use a Brook UFB? The UFB doesn't have 5 2 pin connector sockets is why I'm asking.
Hey I’m not sure if you know but can you clip the wires for the start select and insert then into the UFB do you know it that’ll work??? I’ve been trying to figure out for the longest.
is that Ace Combat shattered skies next to Final Fantasy 7? two of my favorite Playstation games next to each other
Yes! The top row is our founder @FrankCastleAZ 's top 5 of all time. Although that will probably be edited soon.
Hi ! Can you put on this qamba dragon a pcb optico gamefinger sanwa or just the regular joystick sanwa with micro-switches
Is the latency okay with Tekken compared to the UFB?

Yo Frank , where you able to put a brook in it?
Finally I can see The PCB Thanks
Glad to help. :-)

AZHPGaming ty for your help I'll definitely take your advice
With you the force is
Hi Can you use hex screws to mount the Plexi. If so what size.
Does the top metal panel (under the plexi) span the stick's entire length or only 2/3rds of the way (as it sorta looks like)?
It's the entire top panel with the exception of where the plastic sides are. It essentially fits inside the bottom base when shut and clasped. Phoenix320 focusattack.com has them on sale for 250$ plus 15$ shipping
I had the same problem but found out the way to get it for 350 USD. LOL!
Hello have you heard of the dragon slayer fightstick.

I send an Email to Tek-Innovation guy because I couldnt find the Qanba Dragon plexiglass/artwork option in his website.
Hey I need artwork for this who do I contact

I'm getting it. Thanks man!

What a fucking great review... Very nice job, thanks a lot
Fuck Yeah Buy this Arcade Stick !

Do the obsidian and send it to me for being your best commentor.
We'll review the Obsidian if Eightarc sends us one. We've already asked. :-)
Whether you'll get it is another story though haha thanks for the love tho Chris
AZHPGaming I'll always love you :p
Looks like an Obsidian review is coming. The stick is on it's way for me to tear apart. :-)
well.. very nice joystick!
But.. call me old fashion... Flashing lights when you hit your buttons or your controller ???!!....
No way for me ! I don't customize my car with "lights"... and so i don't customize with Led my joysticks !
Too flashy and looks sort of cheap. Hori VLX for the win.
