You have an answer, if you follow Ignatius. My answer is from the Holy Scriptures, keep the Sabbath, regardless of what others think or do, because God said to and because Jesus did and all the apostles.
Thank you again brother, for another great teaching. What an eye-opener for me, the contrast between the two when you use the word day compared to life. And how we are to live our life according to the life of Yeshua.
A lot of people I know don't understand it or they will however they still won't keep it. Not eating unclean foods wasn't hard and they continually do it, among other things
It amazes me still that most churches that are Protestant, even they disregard catholic teachings, still keep so many of their traditions without being confused. If they do read their bibles, can they not read the warnings about following man made laws. Although there have been alit wake up and leaving the “daughters” churches. I pray every one wake up before it’s too late.
And they defend these ear ticklers. Incredible, but Scriptures says apostasy and worse would happen, so here we are... Stay true to His Word and cast these false ones far out.
Totally blessed by this teaching! It's exactly what the Lord has been trying to show me as to the distinction between the Sabbath as Yeshua lived and taught and Sabbath that Judaism teaches. If correct, Judaism is a religion that birthed from the Torah much later but also regards and follows the teachings of men, more so than those of God. Which is likely why the true prophets were hated and killed, opposed to the treatment of the false prophets who were loved because they told the people what they wanted to hear. Get that a lot 😢. Thank you!
Even though I was brought up going to church on Sunday as a child, I was taught that the seventh day was the Lord's Day. It didn't mean anything to me at a young age. I fell out of going to church through the years, but now, since I'm much older, I've returned to God and church. I've been trying to respect the Lord's Day on the seventh day. I'm not and don't want to be affiliated with the Seventh Day Adventist. I just want to have a meaningful relationship with God and Lord Jesus Christ the way God intended for us to do. As far as I know, God didn't give anyone the authority to move His day of rest from the seventh day to the first day. I've been trying to observe the Sabbath on the seventh day and no other day. I asked the pastor of the church I've been attending about this situation, and he told me I could pick any day of the week to observe the Sabbath on. Well, that didn't set with me when the Bible states the Word of God in The Ten Cammandments, Cammandment four, Remember the Sabbath. God didn't say these words just to hear Himself speak. God bless all. Amen 🙏 ❤.
Great teaching, I always enjoy listening to well thought out arguments that present plenty of supporting verses and references. I am curious to know why Acts 2:42-46 isn’t emphasized more to counter verses of those who hold Acts 20 as a reference to as the new worship day. Great thought provoking teachings from 119 is why I prayerfully and financially support this ministry on a monthly basis. Shalom.
if it was a specific day John would have said either "the sabbath day," or "the first day," but he doesn't because it was a vision of the Great and Terrible day of the LORD.
The sabbath never changed. It has always been on the Seventh day (Saturday in the gregorian, but traditionally friday sunset to saturday sunset) As for the ressurection, this a whole can of worms on its own, but i firmly believe Jesus ressurected late in Sabbath/Saturday. But none of his followers knew about this till very early next day( Sunday/1st day)
Yes i was at a study where that was concluded, it was when I was young and at a Baptist church, but the speaker had all those studies that pointed to how messiah was the sacrificial lamb for passover, it was really interesting and eye opening
Shalom! With regards to Acts 20:7, that reads, "And upon the first day of the week", a careful reading of the Greek text, which reads, "de en heis sabbaton", would plainly show that the first of the week, a sunday, cannot be even remotely implied. "heis" - mean "one" as in a primary numeral. The Greek word for "first" is "prōton" as used in Matthew 5:24. ("Leave there your gift before the altar, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.). The word "first" in Matthew 5:24 is "prōton", which mean first in order, and was not used in Acts 20:7. "sabbaton" - means "Sabbath day" or "Sabbath" or " Week" in the sense of seven days, as implied in Acts 1:12, "Then returned they to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey." sabbath (sabbaton) day's journey - meaning "A week's journey" or "A seven days journey". Matthew 12:8 which reads, For the Son of man is even Lord of the sabbath day (sabbaton). The text is clearly saying, "And on one of the sabbath day, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached to them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight".
I just can't get it why would 119 ministries address this verse and do not mention the translation error (mia ton sabbaton) forced into sunday worship... =\
The reason Acts 20:7 has "first day of the week" is because "first from the Sabbath" was the common Jewish way to refer to the first day of the week at the time. That's how the phrase is translated elsewhere in the NT for the first day of the week (e.g. Mark 16:2). At the time of NT authors, there weren’t names for each of the days of the week, so the Jews would count the days with reference to the Sabbath. Thus, Sunday became “the first [day] from/one [day] from the Sabbath.” That is, the first day following the Sabbath.
For people reading this message, after years of listening to pastors etc. I think 119 ministries are the ones that obey the scriptures, many other obey just parts but not all, which leads to confusion, but 119 ministries are people that obey God, I highly suggest people to listen 119 ministries, God bless all
The context for several of the passages in the Apostolic writings where some variation of "mia ton sabbaton" is used, are pointing to the counting of the Omer, leading to Shavuot. That would be along the line of "in one of the weeks". My (limited) understanding of the Greek is that Sabbaton is plural, or weeks. This still, of course, points to the truth of 1st century messianic "believers" being Torah observant, as Yahshuah exampled for us. Shabbat shalom
It's easy. The Father and the Son are the ultimate authority. They never changed the ordinances so neither should any of their followers. To say otherwise is simply a false understanding and teaching.
Good thing that 119 ministries has a video clarifying that YaHaWaSHaI didn't raise on the 1st day of the week. . Christians are so clinging with the resurrection day being on the 1st day of the week, one of the reason they celebrate it with Easter and worship on Sundays plus all the info in this video.
In Acts 20:7, they were probably meeting after Sundown Saturday evening. The day begins at Sunset, Sunday would begin at sunset Saturday night. The Complete Jewish Bible says “Motzael Shabbat”. The Greek word for week is Sabbaton, which means the 7th day, the Sabbath day, 7 days, a week. Motzael Shabbat in Judaism refers to the time in the evening immediately following Shabbat, Saturday night. Paul was going to leave the next day. He kept talking to midnight. He talked from sundown Saturday night to midnight. It wouldn’t make sense if he talked all day Sunday until midnight née wouldn’t have departed on the Sabbath.
If you mean that God’s Word/Torah is the ‘things themselves,’ then I say Amen... If you mean that God’s Torah is a shadow, I’ll be praying for you to do as Yeshua/Jesus says, ‘Teshuvah.’
Christians keep God's commandments (the "shadows") BECAUSE we honor Messiah. He said, "If you love me, keep my commandments." Imagine creating a false dichotomy between God and his word!
@@billyhw5492 Context, bro. Read verse 31. This pertains to the physical tabernacle or Temple in Jerusalem. There is no practical application of the laws in Lev 15 today because there is no Jerusalem Tabernacle/Temple to worry about defiling. Ritual purity was not about sin but about appropriate ritual status for participating in the Tabernacle/Temple services. It's weird to point to ritual purity laws to somehow try to negate the validity of God's commandments. You're basically saying, "This thing in the Bible that I don't understand seems weird to me; therefore, God's commandments are dumb and you shouldn't be like Jesus and the apostles by keeping the Sabbath."
Sunday is the first day, and our Lord asks sabbath seventh day so, i want to obey the Lord, not Satan s day first day Exodus 20; 8 Daniel 7; 25 Hebrew 4 God bless you all
If the Sabbath was not being observed still, why did the Council of Nicea seek to expel the Nazarene Believers from their midst (clearly stated) by changing the day? Constantine’s edict followed. And, the Roman Catholic Church had been established and named as a new religion about 100 CE with its own structure which followed the Roman hierarchy with its Bishops and Popes. One must understand the added “laws” of the Pharisees and Sadducees for the Sabbath observance.
According to Edersheim, the Tanakh readings would begin for a child of three. Education was extremely important. However, the new Gentile Believers would not have had the Tanakh. Furthermore, Paul refers to the history of the Hebrews regularly as if his letters were intended for the northern kingdom Hebrews who had inter-married with other peoples (Timothy and Luke are examples).
@@flatearthwithnod8407 I believe it, but I also understand metaphor, allegory, and other literary devices that are employed throughout scripture. I also understand that the Bible is not a science text book and it was written to specific people at specific time periods with limited knowledge of scientific realities that were not necessary for Yah to convey the spiritual truths that He did intend for all people, in all generations. As you may have heard said "the Bible was written for us, but not to us." Each book was written to a specific audience using language, idioms, and other figures of speech that the intended audience would have understood in their cultural backdrop and context.
119 Ministries is one of the few that have observed Passover this year as per Scripture at sunset 14th of first month as per their feast calendar. This year was on friday 26th March while many rejecting the commanded ways to follow the Jewish tradition of 15th Nisan as Passover rejection Yahshua as the lamb slain for our sins even in NT at 3pm on 14th. Because of this error Pentecost many will observe it on the Rome date a week ahead of actual. Also noted that this year the fall feast too are a day or two ahead of commanded dates.
There’s only 8 verses that mentions the first day of the week but is mentioned only after the sabbath day had passed. And when they broke bread it simply means to eat dinner.
Ok. We know when romans sacked Jerusalem, they attacked on Saturns day( their history) when the Jews were praying and resting. It was ALWAYS Saturday Sabbath. Read Macabees and stay away from ANY teaching on this channel. They cannot even pretend sunday is biblical.
Look up “first day of the week” in Greek. It will be “mia ton SABBATON.” Sabbaton is a transliteration of the Hebrew, Shabbat. Sabbaton is always translated Sabbath through the Septuagint (Grk translation of the OT) and in the NT except in 9 verses...8 of the 9 are the resurrection passages (6 verses), Acts 20:7 and 1 Cor 16:2.
Ignatius also wrote “If they then who walked in ancient customs came to a new hope, no longer living for the Sabbath, but for the Lord’s day, on which also our life sprang up through Him and His death.”Ignatius praised some who were no longer observing the Sabbath.

Your ministry is causing my marriage to fall apart. It is so painful. My husband gets so angry that I don't believe with him all these things. If he reads this message, he will be so angry. I don't understand. I cry every day. This can't be from the Lord. I am so sad. There is something greatly wrong with what you are doing. It is tearing our family apart. Jesus is love. What you teach is not love. I am a strong Christian woman who loves the Lord. I have been praying day and night for peace about following Torah, and I have received none. I don't understand, Lord, please help me!
Shalom darciecoombs5050, We are so sorry that you and your husband are struggling. It can be so hard when one spouse changes their beliefs and the other spouse feels like they don't even know who they are married to anymore. If it helps, we would like to clarify what we believe because most likely we have more in common than not. We believe that we are saved by grace ONLY through faith in Messiah (Jesus). Obedience is not for salvation, but it is evidence of our salvation. As James 2:18 states:" But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith BY MY WORKS." We love because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19) Just like you, it is our desire to walk out our faith by following our Messiah. As you and your husband read and study together, we pray that the Father guides you both and shows both of you exactly what He wants you to know and see. If you would like to contact us, the best place to do that is through our contact us page on our website. Where is the text in the Bible where someone commanded that Sunday, the first day of the week, should be designated by the term, "the Lord's day"? Are you folks seeing something that I don't see?
In the old testament if an outsider was residing in Jerusalem they were to abide their laws. They were allowed to integrate into Israel and become Israel. Basically grafting them into the vine they would keep his laws and statues and be his people. There wasn't much changed from the old to the new testament, if anything changed
John MacArthur is, frankly, a horrible pastor. He's one of those who makes people twice the son of hell as himself. He deliberately dismisses entire portions of scripture, much like Vodie Bauchum, and catholicism, in favor of the modern understanding of "do as thou will," that has taken over most people who claim to have faith. Most of modern christendom treats the Torah as an ala carte menu they get to pick and choose from and rejects the notion that God has actual expectations to us beyond what their own minds conjure as expectations for themselves.
"The Lord's day" is the great and terrible day of YHVH when He brings His wrath upon this earth. John was in the Spirit seeing this wrath played out before him. Its not the sabbath or sunday.

This teaching is flawed in that Acts20:7 and 1 For 16:2 The phrase " On the first day of the week" is a mistranslation. The word Fist is actually better translated "one"..The word day is italicized so it is not in the original manuscripts. The Word week in Greek is "Sabaton" or Sabbath. This means that it should be "On one of the Sabbaths" or On the First of Weeks" This means it was describing the "Feast of weeks counting from Passover to Shavuot(Pentecost) where they count 7 Sabbaths and then add a Day
There is perennial problem and confusion on the word 'lord' 'Lord' 'LORD'. The capitalization scheme is useless when we are dealing with spoken language. In the Bible esp., it is a translation word for Gk. kurios, which is often used as a title, means depending on the context. If vocative, it may be 'O master'. 'Sir!'. etc. When someone is called 'Lord', it does not mean he is a God. Confusion with Lord Jesus and Lord God. Even when used in reference to Yeshua, it is not a divine title employed for 'God Jesus' of Trinitarians.
Brother please help me, what is the first day of the Month of Aviv or Nissan according to the Bible? So that I start following the feasts days..Shalom And God bless you.
In the diaspora/dispersion (time with no priesthood or Temple) the Jews follow the Hillilel II calendar (easily found online). Those who are following alternate calendars are, in my opinion, insulting our elder brothers to the point of antisemitism. It clearly says in Jeremiah, that we (the nations) are to grab hold of a Jews Talit and follow them into the new Jerusalem...🙏
The first day of a month always occurs when the sliver of the new moon is sighted at Jerusalem. The Hillilel calendar, while providing a reasonable alternative, is often off by a day or two. Hence, a group of scholars (Jewish and Christian) in Jerusalem, regularly meet and observe the moon to determine the exact date. In addition, they monitor the stage of barley crops on the Mount of Olives to ensure that there will be sheaves of ripe barley available for the Feast of Firstfruits. This provides an accurate determination of the beginning of the first month of the year. Google "biblical hebrew calendar michael" for details and monthly downloads. Their yearly printed calendar usually contains months with two pages; Page A applying if the new moon is sighted as expected, or Page B if the new moon is not sighted. This is critical for the first day of the seventh month as that is the only feast day for which no man knows the day or the hour. So there are three calendars being used; 1. The pagan Roman calendar used by most self professed Christians, 2. The Hillilel calendar used by most Jews, and 3. The biblical calendar used by our Creator to run the universe according to His timetable.
@@statutesofthelord as the sum of 12 moon cycles (months) is less than a solar year, a 13th month needs to be inserted periodically to keep the seasons from progressing. When is it added? Two options. 1. When the 14th day would fall before the spring equinox, as that would result in two Passovers in one solar year. 2. When the barley crop is not mature enough to ensure that there will be ripe barley sheaves available for the Feast of Firstfruits. Of course I do not know everything. So I defer to the scholars in Jerusalem who monitor the sighting of the new moon each month and are much more knowledgeable.
I stopped watching about midway because I ran out of time. I will finish later, but I need to know why you did not even mention that neither Acts 20:7 nor 1 Corinthians 16:2 says anything about “first day of the week” in the Greek text. Both passages reference “Sabbath.”
Shalom Col, We can understand your confusion, however we do not feel that we are contradicting ourselves. From our Was the Last Supper a Passover Seder teaching: “Yeshua rose on the beginning of the 18th day, also known as Firstfruits. This placed him in the tomb for exactly three days and three nights according to Yeshua’s prophecy. Mary discovered that the tomb was already open and the Messiah was already risen once it became light on the 18th day.” First Fruits is the first day after the weekly Sabbath that occurs during the Feast of Unleavened Bread. This would mean that he rose at the close of the Sabbath and the beginning of Sunday. To better illustrate this, please see the graphic in this teaching. We hope this helps to clarify this for you. Blessings and Shalom,
@@119Ministries Yes, He rose as the weekly Shabbat was ending, but I heard you say at least two times, that he rose on Sunday. Check the video. On that Shabbat, it was permitted for the priests to pull the grains that would be waived on First Fruits, just as Yeshua was plucked from the grave on that Shabbat to be waived or manifest on First Fruits. It may have been totally nonintentional to say "Sunday" after being raised as a Protestant, as I have done similar slips, due to my Charismatic upbringing, but I encourage you to edit those parts of the teaching video to reflect our true beliefs. Many Blessings!
Sadly John was in prison, and its highly doubtful that prisoners were allowed a day off for religious exemptions. So its doubtful that he was allowed to observe a sabbath.
The seventh day is the Sabbath. Read Exodus 20:8. There is no place in the New Testament that changes the day specified by God in the Fourth Commandment. God does not change and His Law does not change.
@Меѳодїи Thanks for sharing. I agree with you that the 7th day is the Sabbath of the Lord. 8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

Revelation 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, The only day Jesus referred to as His day is in this text: Mark 2: 27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
@Меѳодїи I didn't, I just referenced the bible. Please reference where the Lord had two special days or that they are different. I am willing to learn from the bible. May God bless you sir, I respect you.
sunday observers always start at acts 20:7 to justify sunday. why dont they start at Acts 20:6 it says AFTER THE DAYS OF UNLEAVENED BREAD or PASSOVER. UNLEAVENED BREAD is evidence paul kept the law feasts of YHWH. Paul also said Acts 24:14 i worship the god of my fathers believing in everything that is written in the law and prophets.
Still, my only complaint is that you use Yahweh when established evidence reveals His Name is Yehovah. The number of times Yahweh appears in Hebrew texts is zero. There are over 2,000 places where the vowel pointings read Yehovah. I think this settles the matter until Yeshua returns.
His Name is Yahuwah brother🙌❤️ The letters E, O and V are not in Ancient Hebrew so that makes the name Yehovah automatically incorrect. Oh and even the Jehovah witnesses admit that the name they use is wrong
@twice blest Just to add to the reply of @Jaron, I've learned that when considering a matter, we must seek out and review all available research and "expert" opinions (and I don't mean this in a negative way) that's available to us. I've made the mistake just like many others have, by taking the first "good" sounding explanation of a matter and running with it and being quick to tell/rebuke/correct everyone else concerning the issue, just to later find out through my own continued research, that there's other things to be considered, other perspectives and so on, that the first "good' sounding citation I came across doesn't reference or left out; plus, we must also be mindful of the background and perspective of the author and try to discern their intent in their presentation because there could just as well be a bias present. I urge you to continue researching the matter (and do the same for all other matters that you will have) because there's also strong evidence to the contrary about the pronunciation of the letter "Vav" in Hebrew.

I’m gonna say something that is controversial to all: neither Judean nor Christian observes the correct calendar. It was changed by Babylon, Rome, a long time ago, as Daniel 7 prophesied: “He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.” Daniel 7:25 ESV ------ And so Judeans, having come from Babylon, mixed the ways of Yah with the ways of Babylon. Go and see where waxing crescent new moon observance first came from. Care to guess? Babylon.
@@jaron5333 Any calendar that doesn’t use the sun, moon AND stars is probably not entirely correct. No offense. “And God made the two great lights-the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night-and the stars.” Genesis 1:16 ESV ----- There is only one phase of the moon that “rules by night”. Only one. “Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.” Psalm 81:3 ESV ----- So we count our days, identifying our Sabbaths based on that phase of the moon above ^^^. And the stars bring in the seasons and the new year: ““Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades or loose the cords of Orion? Can you lead forth the Mazzaroth in their season, or can you guide the Bear with its children? Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you establish their rule on the earth?” Job 38:31-33 ESV ----- And the smoking gun is the solar eclipse that took place at Passover on the day Yeshua died, which was the 14th day of the month. Look how the Orthodox J’ish Bible puts it: “It was already the sixth hour [noon] and choshech was over the whole land until the ninth hour. [Amos 8:9] The shemesh being obscured; and the Parochet [between the Kodesh HaKodashim and HaKodesh] in the Beis Hamikdash was torn in two. [Ex 26:31-33]” Lukas 23:44-45 OJB ------ There is only one moon phase the produces solar eclipses -- and that is the conjunction moon phase. Anyways, you need three witnesses to know the appointed times. It’s all there in Scripture, you just have to believe it and depart from popular doctrine.
@@goldenremnant2610 New moon is a mistranslation brother. I use all 3 witnesses for the calendar I use. It looks like you’re using a calendar that is mainly based on the moon, the following verse is one of the many reasons why I don’t follow a moon calendar: Jubilees 6:32-38 And command thou the children of Israel that they observe the years according to this reckoning- three hundred and sixty-four days, and (these) will constitute a complete year, and they will not disturb its time from its days and from its feasts; for everything will fall out in them according to their testimony, and they will not leave out any day nor disturb any feasts. But if they do neglect and do not observe them according to His commandment, then they will disturb all their seasons and the years will be dislodged from this (order), [and they will disturb the seasons and the years will be dislodged] and they will neglect their ordinances. And all the children of Israel will forget and will not find the path of the years, and will forget the new months, and seasons, and sabbaths and they will go wrong as to all the order of the years. For I know and from henceforth will I declare it unto thee, and it is not of my own devising; for the book (lies) written before me, and on the heavenly tablets the division of days is ordained, lest they forget the feasts of the covenant and walk according to the feasts of the Gentiles after their error and after their ignorance. For there will be those who will assuredly make observations of the moon -how (it) disturbs the seasons and comes in from year to year ten days too soon. For this reason the years will come upon them when they will disturb (the order), and make an abominable (day) the day of testimony, and an unclean day a feast day, and they will confound all the days, the holy with the unclean, and the unclean day with the holy; for they will go wrong as to the months and sabbaths and feasts and jubilees. For this reason I command and testify to thee that thou mayst testify to them; for after thy death thy children will disturb (them), so that they will not make the year three hundred and sixty-four days only, and for this reason they will go wrong as to the new months and seasons and sabbaths and festivals, and they will eat all kinds of blood with all kinds of flesh.

Acts 20:7 says "first from (or one from) the Sabbath." This was the common Jewish way of referring to the first day of the week (e.g. Mark 16:2). The NT authors, like all Jews of their time, counted the days with reference to the Sabbath. Thus, Sunday became “first/one from the Sabbath.” The translation is correct, but Luke wasn't referring to it as a regular religious observance. It was just a day they happened to meet one time to spend time with Paul before he had to leave.
The first day of the week begins at sunset (our Saturday evening), not at midnight. As the Sabbath was now over they gathered at someone's house where supper could be prepared (after the Sabbath was over and they could do work). At the meal, they partook of the bread and wine in the same manner as at the original last supper with Jesus. Then Paul preached until midnight (4 to 5 hours), and left on his journey the following sunrise (our Sunday morning). @@DavidWilberBlog Not necessarily true. It could also be translated, “one/first of the Sabbaths” (the Grk is plural. I understand context can make the plural have a singular meaning, but context can also keep it plural) which is significant to the Biblical counting of weeks to Pentecost. For, the context of ALL “first day of the week passages” are during the Spring Feasts. And, as I’m sure you know, the first Sabbath after Passover began the seven Sabbath count unto Pentecost. Thus, “one/first of the Sabbaths.”

I love this channel, but hearing Yahweh and/or Yahshua be referred to as "lord", or even worse, "god", is agonizing. I understand having to keep it "christian friendly" in order not to scare "christians" away (all things for all people), but when discussing Yah's Torah and HIS word, HIS name should be used and honored, and pagan titles (god, lord) should not be used. ~Exodus 23:13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and MAKE NO MENTION OF THE NAME OF OTHER GODS, NEITHER LET IT BE HEARD OUT OF THY MOUTH. (god, jesus, lord, jehovah, etc, all false pagan mistransliterations). Thank you for all your hard work. ~Shabbat shalom to you all in Yahweh.
I agree David, but God isn’t a name it’s a title and there is much confusion in the name. Is it Yahweh? Yahweh? Yeshua? Yahushua? There are also others to choose from

Correct Sir, since Yahweh is specific then we should also be specific. Just makes good sense. This business makes for confusion. Our Elohim is not a Elohim of confusion. We need to become more clear in our vocabulary. Enjoy Elohim & Be Blessed Happy Passover!
Don't make this dichotomous. Honor the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Celebrate the Lord's Day, the day of the Savior's resurrection, breaking bread and singing songs of praise. There are traditions out there that celebrate the Sabbath and the Lord's Day.
Agreed. The feast days were shadows (rehearsals) of things to come. The Feast of Firstfruits was the temple high priest offering the sheaves of barley at sunrise the morning after the Sabbath. This was fulfilled once when Jesus ascended to the Father to present Himself as the Firstfruits of the resurrection (at the same time the priest was offering the barley.) There was no weekly rehearsal of this event, so no day of the week can be of any importance. It is solely a yearly event.

Shabbat Shalom! My question answered finally as a six year old as to why we didn’t keep Shabbat!
You have an answer, if you follow Ignatius. My answer is from the Holy Scriptures, keep the Sabbath, regardless of what others think or do, because God said to and because Jesus did and all the apostles.
While many Christian churches supposedly do not teach "replacement theology," they certainly practice it with Sunday observance.
Yes indeed... "we" don't say or officially state it. But that is exactly what our actions display.
Thank you again brother, for another great teaching. What an eye-opener for me, the contrast between the two when you use the word day compared to life. And how we are to live our life according to the life of Yeshua.

Unfortunately for most, they won't wake up and the bible tells us they wont. They take the broad road while Gods road is the narrow path.
Thank you!
Great explanation! 💗
Amen 🙏 ❤.
Dave, Its good to see you here!
Shalom.
Good point and I missed it. Thanks
if it was a specific day John would have said either "the sabbath day," or "the first day," but he doesn't because it was a vision of the Great and Terrible day of the LORD.
The sabbath never changed. It has always been on the Seventh day (Saturday in the gregorian, but traditionally friday sunset to saturday sunset)
As for the ressurection, this a whole can of worms on its own, but i firmly believe Jesus ressurected late in Sabbath/Saturday.

Wow I just checked the word translated as week in my strongs concordance 4521-sabbaton. Sabbath the seventh day. 1520heis- one. Thank u for sharing
Excellent observation. Thanks for sharing.
This is deep!
In Acts 20:7, the word day is added ( italics) so could be referencing the counting of the sabbaths for the upcoming Shavuot
You got it. It's so easy to see when we look at what the text simply says.
Imagine honouring the shadow of things, rather than the things themselves. Insane.
If you mean that God’s Word/Torah is the ‘things themselves,’ then I say Amen...
If you mean that God’s Torah is a shadow, I’ll be praying for you to do as Yeshua/Jesus says, ‘Teshuvah.’
@@shabbatsongs4801 Imagine observing the prefigurement of things, rather than the the fulfillment of things. Insane.
Christians keep God's commandments (the "shadows") BECAUSE we honor Messiah. He said, "If you love me, keep my commandments." Imagine creating a false dichotomy between God and his word!

It's weird to point to ritual purity laws to somehow try to negate the validity of God's commandments.

This means that it should be "On one of the Sabbaths" or On the First of Weeks"
This means it was describing the "Feast of weeks counting from Passover to Shavuot(Pentecost) where they count 7 Sabbaths and then add a Day
In Leviticus 23 it refers to the Feast of Weeks

There is perennial problem and confusion on the word 'lord' 'Lord' 'LORD'. The capitalization scheme is useless when we are dealing with spoken language. In the Bible esp., it is a translation word for Gk. kurios, which is often used as a title, means depending on the context. If vocative, it may be 'O master'. 'Sir!'. etc. When someone is called 'Lord', it does not mean he is a God. Confusion with Lord Jesus and Lord God. Even when used in reference to Yeshua, it is not a divine title employed for 'God Jesus' of Trinitarians.

Stop saying Yeshua rose on Sunday!THAT IS A LIE! Have you never heard of the SIGN OF JONAH??? MATT 12.37-40.
Shalom Col,
We can understand your confusion, however we do not feel that we are contradicting ourselves.
From our Was the Last Supper a Passover Seder teaching:
“Yeshua rose on the beginning of the 18th day, also known as Firstfruits. This placed him in the tomb for exactly three days and three nights according to Yeshua’s prophecy. Mary discovered that the tomb was already open and the Messiah was already risen once it became light on the 18th day.”
First Fruits is the first day after the weekly Sabbath that occurs during the Feast of Unleavened Bread. This would mean that he rose at the close of the Sabbath and the beginning of Sunday.
To better illustrate this, please see the graphic in this teaching.
We hope this helps to clarify this for you.

Which day is the Lord's day/Sabbath day from the bible?
The seventh day is the Sabbath. Read Exodus 20:8. There is no place in the New Testament that changes the day specified by God in the Fourth Commandment. God does not change and His Law does not change.

sunday observers always start at acts 20:7 to justify sunday. why dont they start at Acts 20:6 it says AFTER THE DAYS OF UNLEAVENED BREAD or PASSOVER. UNLEAVENED BREAD is evidence paul kept the law feasts of YHWH. Paul also said Acts 24:14 i worship the god of my fathers believing in everything that is written in the law and prophets.
I don't think that this is well founded at all.
I urge you to continue researching the matter (and do the same for all other matters that you will have) because there's also strong evidence to the contrary about the pronunciation of the letter "Vav" in Hebrew.
according to one of the scholars (Nehemiah Gordon), who edited the Dead Sea scrolls, plus other MS. he discovered on his own he would back up your conclusion that our Elohim's name is J(Y)ehovah ... shalom.. look up his teachings
I’m gonna say something that is controversial to all: neither Judean nor Christian observes the correct calendar.
It was changed by Babylon, Rome, a long time ago, as Daniel 7 prophesied:
“He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.”
Daniel 7:25 ESV
------
And so Judeans, having come from Babylon, mixed the ways of Yah with the ways of Babylon.
Go and see where waxing crescent new moon observance first came from. Care to guess?
Babylon.
The truth calendar is the Enoch/Zadok/Jubilees solar calender🙌
@@jaron5333 Any calendar that doesn’t use the sun, moon AND stars is probably not entirely correct. No offense.
“And God made the two great lights-the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night-and the stars.”

-----
There is only one phase of the moon that “rules by night”.
Only one.
“Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.”
Psalm 81:3 ESV
-----
So we count our days, identifying our Sabbaths based on that phase of the moon above ^^^.
And the stars bring in the seasons and the new year:
““Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades or loose the cords of Orion? Can you lead forth the Mazzaroth in their season, or can you guide the Bear with its children? Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you establish their rule on the earth?”
Job 38:31-33 ESV
-----
And the smoking gun is the solar eclipse that took place at Passover on the day Yeshua died, which was the 14th day of the month. Look how the Orthodox J’ish Bible puts it:
“It was already the sixth hour [noon] and choshech was over the whole land until the ninth hour. [Amos 8:9] The shemesh being obscured; and the Parochet [between the Kodesh HaKodashim and HaKodesh] in the Beis Hamikdash was torn in two. [Ex 26:31-33]”
Lukas 23:44-45 OJB
------
There is only one moon phase the produces solar eclipses -- and that is the conjunction moon phase.
Anyways, you need three witnesses to know the appointed times. It’s all there in Scripture, you just have to believe it and depart from popular doctrine.
@@goldenremnant2610 New moon is a mistranslation brother. I use all 3 witnesses for the calendar I use. It looks like you’re using a calendar that is mainly based on the moon, the following verse is one of the many reasons why I don’t follow a moon calendar:
Jubilees 6:32-38 And command thou the children of Israel that they observe the years according to this reckoning- three hundred and sixty-four days, and (these) will constitute a complete year, and they will not disturb its time from its days and from its feasts; for everything will fall out in them according to their testimony, and they will not leave out any day nor disturb any feasts.

Act 20:7 the Greek text says "on the Sabbath" not on the first day of the week. This was a mistranslation into English by the king James gang.
Paul did not preach from 9:00 Sunday morning until midnight (15 hours) as most churches interpret it.
The Lord's day, AND Day of the Lord mean, R 1 & the same thing. Amos 5:18 What sorrow awaits you who say, “If only the day of the LORD were here!” You have no idea what you are wishing for. That day will bring darkness, not light.
MANY verses in Revelation reveal what will happen on/in that day of the Lord, AND John said he was IN that day, aka the Lord's day, via VISION and wrote about what He saw. Daniel did the same thing in Daniel Chapter 7. AND Daniel said what he saw was TERRIFYING! I believe there are those alive on this Earth TODAY who WILL SEE what Daniel said was terrifying. Sparky man calls it the NWO. Daniel calls it the 4th BEAST!! Read ALL ABOUT IT!!!
Acts 24:5 should read "sect of the Natsarim". Nazarene is a crude interpretation. Natsarim comes from the root word "neser" which means "branch". Nazarene, on the other hand, is one of 50,000 denominations that has fractured the Word of Yahuah. My family and I call ourselves Natsarim not Christian.
Yeshua Messiah was raised from the dead on the Sabbath Day. Not first fruits!!
Think..... remember... The graves that were marked during the crucifixion. They were resurrected on First Fruits and presented as the first fruit offering in heaven.
Hence the 24 elders.

Don't make this dichotomous. Honor the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Celebrate the Lord's Day, the day of the Savior's resurrection, breaking bread and singing songs of praise.
There are traditions out there that celebrate the Sabbath and the Lord's Day.
If the “Lord’s Day” is interpreted as the day of resurrection, then that’s an argument to celebrate First Fruits and not Every Sunday...
