A trick I found:
On the connected device, open google maps, start navigating to a destination. This will prevent hotspot from auto disconnecting.
Another trick you can try:
From the connected device, go to settings, bluetooth and connect to the iPhone that shares hotspot. This will prevent hotspot from auto disconnecting for around 15 minutes.

My dad have iphone 13
When i connect it with android it doesn’t disconnect
But when i connect it with my iphone xs and lock it it literally takes 0.0001 second to disconnect automatically😂

I’m looking for a solution so that when I jump in my vehicle it connects automatically to the hotspot without me having to open hotspot and then it finds and connects to it. Even if I take my phone into a gas station and come back out I have to leave the apple hotspot open and then it reconnects. The truck is running on android 13. But it doesn’t matter if it’s android or my iPad mini 6. If I want to use my ihpohe 14 hotpot data I always have to open the friggen hotspot
