    I like the idea of a trailer for the simple fact I can still have my truck as my daily driver but weite it off as a expense with my business

    I think if your truck breaks down you can always tow the trailer with another vehicle.. but if his van breaks down he’s done until it’s fixed..

      Good point. That actually happened about two weeks ago.

      I chose a trailer. Van payment, insurance gas etc. Like you said, if my truck breaks downI'll rent a truck if I have to to get my business done for the day. When the van breaks its over.

      And always go enclosed. Mobile billboard! And you dont have to worry about securing your stuff when not working .

    I'm working on a trailer. For me it isn't a gas issue because I use a 4cy suv with awd. I'm planning on a smaller trailer to make things compact and efficient. Great set ups either way.

    Well the way I see it.....great setups btw....is that if the van breaks down, the business stops....if your truck breaks down just hook up the trailer to another truck, you can even rent a Uhaul one.

    the way my county is, alot of my clients are secluded houses with enough driveway space for a 5x8 trailer

    • @StaySlick
      @StaySlick ปีที่แล้ว

      The trailer is great if you have the room for it. I loved setting my trailer up to be as organized and aesthetically pleasing as possible. Unfortunately around here it’s not very practical.

  • @Rcd710
    @Rcd710 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I love both set ups but i agree from my own experience of pulling trailers i would go with a van set up every time. Hunters mobile in a video mentioned he regrets gettings the small van like jorge and wish he wouldve gotten a second larger van like his first one. Whereas imjoshv has 2 setups including a van like jorge and it seemed like he had as much extra space in his van as you do in your trailer so i guess everyone has to tailor what they get to their specific needs in either case this was a nice video and i always appreciate the insight

    • @StaySlick

    Go with the van setup. Ford transit connects are garbage, I worked out of one for 3 years, battery always died, 0 powerin the motor and the door panels leaked. Nissan and dodge make nice models of the connect. Especially if you get the work cabinets installed plus a roof rack. Plenty of storage.

      Nice. Not to mention with a trailer it’s another set of tags you have to keep up on, plus tires and general maintenance. Most trailers come apart and leak after a few years. If your anywhere where your traveling on toll roads that can add up also.

    • @StaySlick
      @StaySlick 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t actually pay tags on this trailer but whether you have a van or a trailer you still have tags to pay. I pay my truck tags and someone with a van pays their van tags and personal vehicle tags

    Nither , a truck with equipment is the best of both worlds a van to much weight for it and u smell all the chemicals and gas and a trailer u can’t just park anywhere when there is not much areas to park u got detached it just to fit in parking lots or tight places . A big truck with a king bed is best or regular bed everything is outside and have lots room and truck is made for carrying weight all time and just have all equipment bolted on the bed or a metal or wood platform so not easy to steal after 25 years in biz I’ve seen it all and tried it all 👍🏻

    • @StaySlick

      I love my Denali duramax. While im working all day it would be a lawn ornament if i had a van lol. So using it to pull my trailer everyday and as a mobile office makes it worth it for me at this stage of my business. Plus the customers always compliment my truck and set up.
